Abstract
【解決手段】燃料電池10を構成するセパレータ28は、電解質・電極接合体26を挟持する挟持部36と、燃料ガス供給通路54が形成される第1橋架部34と、燃料ガス供給連通孔30が積層方向に形成される燃料ガス供給部32とを備える。挟持部36には、燃料ガスを燃料ガス通路40に供給する燃料ガス供給口38と、前記燃料ガス通路40を通って使用された前記燃料ガスを排出する燃料ガス排出通路42と、アノード電極24に接触するとともに、前記燃料ガスが前記燃料ガス供給口38から前記燃料ガス排出通路42に直線状に流れることを阻止する円弧状壁部44とが設けられる。

Claims (12)
- 電解質をアノード電極とカソード電極とで挟んで構成される電解質・電極接合体が、セパレータ間に積層される燃料電池であって、
前記セパレータは、前記電解質・電極接合体を挟持するとともに、前記アノード電極の電極面に沿って燃料ガスを供給する燃料ガス通路及び前記カソード電極の電極面に沿って酸化剤ガスを供給する酸化剤ガス通路が個別に設けられる挟持部と、
前記挟持部に連結され、前記燃料ガスを前記燃料ガス通路に又は前記酸化剤ガスを前記酸化剤ガス通路に供給するための反応ガス供給通路が形成される橋架部と、
前記橋架部に連結され、前記燃料ガス又は前記酸化剤ガスを前記反応ガス供給通路に供給するための反応ガス供給連通孔が積層方向に形成される反応ガス供給部と、
を備え、
前記挟持部には、前記燃料ガスを前記燃料ガス通路に供給する燃料ガス供給口と、
前記燃料ガス通路を通って使用された前記燃料ガスを排出する燃料ガス排出通路と、
前記アノード電極に接触するとともに、前記燃料ガスが前記燃料ガス供給口から前記燃料ガス排出通路に直線状に流れることを阻止する迂回路形成用壁部と、
が設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記挟持部には、前記燃料ガス通路側に突出して前記アノード電極の外周縁部に接触する外縁周回用凸部が設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項1又は2記載の燃料電池において、前記挟持部には、前記燃料ガス通路側に突出して前記アノード電極に接触する複数の突起部が設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池において、前記反応ガス供給部は、燃料ガス供給部であるとともに、
前記反応ガス供給通路は、燃料ガス供給通路であり、
前記燃料ガス供給部は、前記反応ガス供給連通孔である燃料ガス供給連通孔から前記燃料ガス供給通路に供給される前の前記燃料ガスの流れを絞る燃料ガス絞り口を設け、且つ前記燃料ガス絞り口の開口径は、前記燃料ガス供給口の開口径よりも小径に設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項4記載の燃料電池において、前記迂回路形成用壁部、前記突起部及び前記外縁周回用凸部は、前記燃料ガス通路における前記燃料ガスの圧力損失が前記燃料ガス供給部における前記燃料ガスの圧力損失よりも小さくなるように、高さ寸法が設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記電解質・電極接合体に供給されて反応に使用された反応ガスを、排ガスとして前記電解質・電極接合体と前記セパレータとの積層方向に排出する排ガス通路と、
使用前の前記酸化剤ガスを前記積層方向に流動させる酸化剤ガス供給部と、
を備えることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項6記載の燃料電池において、前記反応ガス供給部である燃料ガス供給部は、前記酸化剤ガス供給部の内方に気密に設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項7記載の燃料電池において、前記燃料ガス排出通路は、使用済みの前記燃料ガスを前記酸化剤ガス供給部に排出することを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項7記載の燃料電池において、前記燃料ガス排出通路は、使用済みの前記燃料ガスを前記電解質・電極接合体の外方で前記排ガス通路に排出することを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項6記載の燃料電池において、前記反応ガス供給部である燃料ガス供給部は、前記排ガス通路の内方に気密に設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項10記載の燃料電池において、前記燃料ガス排出通路は、使用済みの前記燃料ガスを前記排ガス通路に排出することを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項10記載の燃料電池において、前記燃料ガス排出通路は、使用済みの前記燃料ガスを前記電解質・電極接合体の外方で前記酸化剤ガス通路に排出することを特徴とする燃料電池。
