Abstract
【解決手段】非線形的回路により発生される歪信号とは逆の符号を有し且つ実質的に同じ大きさを有する周波数依存信号を発生することにより非線形的回路素子からの歪を補正するための歪回路が提供される。この歪回路は、入力信号と、この入力信号に結合されて、第1信号を発生すると共に、第1バイアスレベルを有する第1の非線形的装置とを備えている。又、前記第1の非線形的装置とは異なるもので、それに結合されて、前記第1信号を変更して、出力第2信号を発生する第2の非線形的装置であって、第2バイアスレベルを有するような第2の非線形的装置も含まれる。前記第1及び第2のバイアスレベルを調整して、出力第2信号の大きさ、位相及び周波数を調整できるようにするバイアス制御手段も設けられる。

関連出願へのリファレンス:本出願は、2005年10月27日に出願された米国特許出願第11/262,077号、及び2005年6月9日に出願された米国特許出願第11/148,022号に係る。
本発明の目的は、光ファイバシステムに使用されるレーザやダイオードのような非線形的な光学−電子装置に使用するための歪打消し回路を提供することである。
簡単に且つ一般的に述べると、本発明は、光学通信信号を受信してそれを電気信号に変換するために外部光ファイバに結合された光検出器と、この光検出器の電気的出力に結合されて、歪を伴う出力信号を発生するRF増幅器と、光ファイバ、ホトダイオード、又はレーザ送信器を伝播して、このRF増幅器により発生される出力信号の歪を打消すためにRF増幅器の出力に接続された後歪回路であって、ショットキーダイオード又はバラクタダイオードを含み、このダイオードのバイアスが歪打消しの大きさ、位相及び周波数内容を制御するように調整されるような後歪回路と、を備えた光学受信器を提供する。
但し、Vは、バラクタにまたがって印加される電圧である。バラクタにより発生される歪の量は、比Vj/Mに逆比例することが示される。手前のセクションの用途については、大きなVj/M比をもつバラクタを選択しなければならない。図4の回路の場合には、小さなVj/M比をもつSkyworks SMV−1247のような部品を選択しなければならない。

Claims (11)
- 非線形的回路により発生される歪信号とは逆の符号を有し且つ実質的に同じ大きさを有する周波数依存信号を発生することにより非線形的回路素子からの歪を補正するための歪回路において、
入力信号と、
前記入力信号に結合されて、第1信号を発生すると共に、第1バイアスレベルを有する第1の非線形的装置と、
前記第1の非線形的装置とは異なるもので、それに結合されて、前記第1信号を変更して、出力第2信号を発生する第2の非線形的装置であって、第2バイアスレベルを有するような第2の非線形的装置と、
前記第1及び第2のバイアスレベルを調整して、前記出力第2信号の大きさ、位相及び周波数を調整できるようにするバイアス制御手段と、
を備えた歪回路。 - 前記第1の非線形的素子は、ショットキーダイオードであり、そして前記第2の非線形的素子は、バラクタダイオードである、請求項1に記載の回路。
- 前記第1及び前記第2の非線形的素子は、逆方向バイアスされる、請求項1に記載の回路。
- 前記第1の非線形的素子は、順方向バイアスされる、請求項1に記載の回路。
- 前記非線形的素子の一方は順方向バイアスされ、そして他方の非線形的素子は逆方向バイアスされる、請求項1に記載の回路。
- 前記バイアス制御手段は、リアクティブ成分を含む、請求項1に記載の回路。
- 前記バイアス制御手段は、バラクダダイオードを含む、請求項1に記載の回路。
- 前記バイアス制御手段は、線形的可変抵抗器として働くPINダイオードを含む、請求項1に記載の回路。
- 前記バイアス制御手段は、二次及び三次歪の同時調整を許す、請求項1に記載の回路。
- 非線形的回路により発生される歪信号とは逆の符号を有し且つ実質的に同じ大きさを有する周波数依存信号を発生することにより非線形的回路素子からの歪を補正するための歪回路において、
非線形的回路素子からRF信号を受信するための入力と、
アノードが接地され、カソードが前記歪回路の入力と出力との間に結合されたショットキーダイオードと、
前記ショットキーダイオードのカソードに接続され、前記歪回路の二次歪を制御する第1バイアス制御入力と、
アノードが接地されたバラクタと、
逆方向バイアスされたバラクタのカソードを前記ショットキーダイオードのカソードに接続するブロッキングキャパシタと、
前記バラクタのカソードに接続され、前記歪回路の位相及び周波数応答を制御する第2バイアス制御入力と、
前記入力のRF信号、及び前記歪回路により発生される歪を信号処理装置へ送信するために信号処理装置に接続された出力と、
を備えた歪回路。 - 非線形的回路により発生される歪信号とは逆の符号を有し且つ実質的に同じ大きさを有する周波数依存信号を発生することにより非線形的回路素子からの歪を補正するための歪回路において、
入力信号と、
前記入力信号に結合され、バイアスレベルを有する第1信号を発生するための非線形的装置と、
前記非線形的装置に結合されて、前記第1信号を変更し、出力信号を発生するリアクティブ回路素子と、
前記バイアスレベルを調整して、前記出力信号の大きさ、位相及び周波数を調整できるようにするバイアス制御手段と、
を備えた歪回路。
