Abstract
Description
Claims (10)
- 25℃〜800℃の温度範囲にわたって20×10−7/℃未満の熱膨張を呈し、x(A)+y(Z2O5)を含む組成を有するセラミック物品であり、xおよびyは各成分のモル分率で、x+y=1、0≦x≦0.80および0.20≦y≦1.00であるセラミック物品において、
a.Aが、RO、R’O2、R”2O3、R”’O3、R””2O5およびこれらの混合物からなる酸化物の群から選択され、
i.ROの場合は、Rが、マグネシウム(Mg)、カルシウム(Ca)、ストロンチウム(Sr)、バリウム(Ba)、ニッケル(Ni)、亜鉛(Zn)およびマンガン(Mn)からなる群から選択され、0≦x≦0.40であり、
ii.R’O2の場合は、R’が、チタン(Ti)およびジルコニウム(Zr)からなる群から選択され、R’がTiの時は0.15≦x≦0.80、R’がZrの時は0.05≦x≦0.76であり、
iii.R”2O3の場合は、R”が、ホウ素(B)、アルミニウム(Al)、ガリウム(Ga)、ランタン(La)および鉄(Fe)からなる群から選択され、0≦x≦0.40であり、
iv.R”’O3の場合は、R”’が、モリブデン(Mo)およびタングステン(W)からなる群から選択され、0≦x≦0.50であり、
v.R””2O5の場合は、R””がリン(P)であり、0≦x≦0.25であり、かつ、
b.Zが、ニオブ(Nb)、タンタル(Ta)、バナジウム(V)、リン(P)およびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、
i.Nb2O5の場合は0≦y≦0.95であり、
ii.Ta2O5の場合は0≦y≦0.85であり、
iii.V2O5の場合は0≦y≦0.50であり、
iv.P2O5の場合は0≦y≦0.25である、
ことを特徴とするセラミック物品。 - 前記組成が、アルカリおよび希土類元素の酸化物からなる群から選択される添加剤をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセラミック物品。
- 前記アルカリ酸化物が、Li2O、Na2O、K2O、Rb2OおよびCs2Oからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のセラミック物品。
- 前記希土類元素酸化物が、Y2O3およびLa2O3からなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のセラミック物品。
- 塞がれたウォールフローのハニカム体を含むディーゼル微粒子フィルタにおいて、該ハニカム体が、x(A)+y(Nb2O5)によって規定される組成を有するセラミックから構成され、AがTiO2およびZrO2からなる群から選択され、0.25≦x≦0.50および0.50≦y≦0.75であることを特徴とするディーゼル微粒子フィルタ。
- 前記ハニカム体が、0.25(TiO2)+0.75(Nb2O5)によって規定される組成を有するセラミックから構成され、該セラミックはTi2Nb10O29の主相を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載のディーゼル微粒子フィルタ。
- 次の特性、すなわち、
a.−5〜+5×10−7/℃のCTE(25〜800℃)と、
b.50体積%〜75体積%の多孔度と、
c.10〜25マイクロメータのメジアン細孔径と、
d.平方インチ当たり200セル(cpsi)(約31セル/cm2)のセル密度と0.015インチ(約0.38mm)の壁厚とを有するハニカム体からチャネルの方向に平行に切り取ったセルのバーについて4点法によって測定した際に300〜600psi(約.1〜4.2MPa)の範囲の破壊係数と、
e.2インチ(50.8mm)直径×6インチ(152.4mm)長さのサンプルにおける200cpsi(約31セル/cm2)のセル密度と0.015インチ(約0.38mm)のセル壁厚とに対して、26scfm(約0.70m2/分)の流量で5g/Lまでの人工炭素すす捕集において4〜5.5kPa以下の圧力損失と、
を呈することを特徴とする請求項5に記載のディーゼル微粒子フィルタ。 - 25℃〜800℃の温度範囲にわたって、20×10−7/℃未満の低熱膨張を呈し、高温用途に適するセラミック物品の製造方法において、
a.酸化物、炭酸塩、硝酸塩、フッ化物、リン酸およびホウ酸からなる群から選択される原材料のバッチを配合するステップと、
b.該原材料のバッチを、可塑剤、滑剤および結合剤からなる群から選択される処理助剤と混合して、均質で可塑化された混合物を形成するステップと、
c.該均質で可塑化された混合物を押し出し成形して未焼成体を形成するステップと、
d.該未焼成体を1〜24時間の間1200℃〜1650℃の最高温度に加熱して、
x(A)+y(Z2O5)を含む組成を有するセラミックを形成するステップであって、xおよびyは各成分のモル分率で、x+y=1、0≦x≦0.80および0.20≦y≦1.00であり、
i.Aが、RO、R’O2、R”2O3、R”’O3、R””2O5およびこれらの混合物からなる酸化物の群から選択され、
1.ROの場合は、Rが、マグネシウム(Mg)、カルシウム(Ca)、ストロンチウム(Sr)、バリウム(Ba)、ニッケル(Ni)、亜鉛(Zn)およびマンガン(Mn)からなる群から選択され、0≦x≦0.40であり、
2.R’O2の場合は、R’が、チタン(Ti)およびジルコニウム(Zr)からなる群から選択され、R’がTiの時は0.15≦x≦0.80、R’がZrの時は0.05≦x≦0.76であり、
3.R”2O3の場合は、R”が、ホウ素(B)、アルミニウム(Al)、ガリウム(Ga)、ランタン(La)および鉄(Fe)からなる群から選択され、0≦x≦0.40であり、
4.R”’O3の場合は、R”’が、モリブデン(Mo)およびタングステン(W)からなる群から選択され、0≦x≦0.50であり、
5.R””2O5の場合は、R””がリン(P)であり、0≦x≦0.25であり、かつ、
ii.Zが、ニオブ(Nb)、タンタル(Ta)、バナジウム(V)、リン(P)およびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、
1.Nb2O5の場合は0≦y≦0.95であり、
2.Ta2O5の場合は0≦y≦0.85であり、
3.V2O5の場合は0≦y≦0.50であり、
4.P2O5の場合は0≦y≦0.25である、
ステップと、
を有してなることを特徴とするセラミック物品の製造方法。 - 25℃〜800℃の温度範囲にわたって、30×10−7/℃未満の低熱膨張を呈し、高温用途に適するセラミック物品の製造方法において、
a.リン酸と、酸化物、炭酸塩、硝酸塩、フッ化物およびホウ酸からなる群から選択される1つ以上とを含む原材料のバッチを配合するステップと、
b.該原材料のバッチを、可塑剤、滑剤および結合剤からなる群から選択される処理助剤と混合して、均質で可塑化された混合物を形成するステップと、
c.該均質で可塑化された混合物を押し出し成形して未焼成体を形成するステップと、
d.該未焼成体を1〜24時間の間300℃〜1450℃の最高温度に加熱して、
x(A)+y(Z2O5)を含む組成を有するセラミックを形成するステップであって、xおよびyは各成分のモル分率で、x+y=1、0≦x≦0.80および0.20≦y≦1.00であり、
i.Aが、RO、R’O2、R”2O3、R”’O3、R””2O5およびこれらの混合物からなる酸化物の群から選択され、
1.ROの場合は、Rが、マグネシウム(Mg)、カルシウム(Ca)、ストロンチウム(Sr)、バリウム(Ba)、ニッケル(Ni)、亜鉛(Zn)およびマンガン(Mn)からなる群から選択され、0≦x≦0.40であり、
2.R’O2の場合は、R’が、チタン(Ti)およびジルコニウム(Zr)からなる群から選択され、RがTiの時は0.15≦x≦0.80、RがZrの時は0.05≦x≦0.76であり、
3.R”2O3の場合は、R”が、ホウ素(B)、アルミニウム(Al)、ガリウム(Ga)、ランタン(La)および鉄(Fe)からなる群から選択され、0≦x≦0.40であり、
4.R”’O3の場合は、R”’が、モリブデン(Mo)およびタングステン(W)からなる群から選択され、0≦x≦0.50であり、
5.R””2O5の場合は、R””がリン(P)として、0≦x≦0.25であり、かつ、
ii.Zが、ニオブ(Nb)、タンタル(Ta)、バナジウム(V)およびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、
1.Nb2O5の場合は0≦y≦0.95であり、
2.Ta2O5の場合は0≦y≦0.85であり、
3.V2O5の場合は0≦y≦0.50である、
ステップと、
を有してなることを特徴とするセラミック物品の製造方法。 - 前記未焼成体を1〜24時間の間300℃〜600℃の温度に加熱することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
