Claims (23)
- 特に切削工具のためのコーティング(8)であって、
金属結晶構造を有する磨耗保護層(9)、
磨耗保護層(9)と制限された接合を有する上層(12)、及び/又は、
磨耗保護層(9)の少なくとも一部分に適用され、磨耗保護層(9)と上層(12)との間に配置される分離層(11)であって、当該分離層(11)は、磨耗保護層(9)に対する上層(12)の接合を制限する分離層(11)、
を備えてなるコーティング。 - 分離層(11)上に、好ましくは装飾層である上層(12)が配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 上層(12)が、磨耗保護層(9)の色とは知覚できるほどに異なった色を有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のコーティング。
- 上層(12)が、ZrC、CrC、ZrN、CrN、TiN、TiC、HfC、又は、HfN層であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のコーティング。
- 上層(12)が、金属結晶構造を有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のコーティング。
- 分離層(11)が、金属結晶ではない構造を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 分離層(11)が、化学的な元素周期系の少なくとも1つのサイドグループ金属を含有する酸化層であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 金属(M)が、第4サイドグループの元素であり、好ましくはチタニウム、又は、ジルコニウムであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のコーティング。
- 金属(M)が、第5サイドグループの元素であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のコーティング。
- 分離層(11)が、主に共有結合を備えた化合物であるか又はそれを含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 分離層(11)が、強度に非化学量論的に構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーティング
- 分離層(11)が、強度に応力を加えられる層であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 分離層(11)が、磨耗保護層と上層(12)との内部応力とは著しく異なる内部応力を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 分離層が、ダイアモンド様炭素層であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 分離層が、MoS2層であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 磨耗保護層(9)が、TiAlN層、又は、CrAlN層であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 磨耗保護層(9)が、単一層構造を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 磨耗保護層(9)が、多層構造を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 硬質材料から作られる基体(7)を備えて成る切削工具上に、請求項1〜18のいずれか一項に記載のコーティングを使用する方法。
- 磨耗保護層(9)が、少なくとも逃げ面(3)上と、少なくともレーキ面(4)上とに設けられる一方で、上層(12)が、逃げ面(3)及び/又はレーキ面(4)を被覆しないか又は部分的にだけ被覆することを特徴とする請求項19に記載の方法。
- 切削工具を作る方法であって、最初に、請求項1〜18のいずれか一項に記載の層配列で基体(7)にコーティングをPVDコーティングプロセスで適用し、引き続いて、機械的な剥離プロセスによって、選択された上側表面部分から上層(12)を取り除く方法。
- 上層(12)が、サンドブラストプロセスによって取り除かれることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
- 全てのコーティング層(8)が、単一のPVDプロセスで適用されることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
