Claims (14)
- 電気導電性アノードと電気導電性カソードの間の発光層を有する基板、前記カソードを通じて発光するように構成されたダイオード、前記ダイオードの発光波長の光を透過する前記カソードを含む有機発光ダイオード(OLED)であって、前記カソードは前記発光波長の光が前記カソードを透過するのを増加するように構成される光学的干渉構造を含む有機発光ダイオード(OLED)。
- 前記カソードは、光学干渉層の前面及び背面からの反射が前記発光波長の光が前記カソードを透過するのを増加するように干渉するように、異なる屈折率を有する第1層と第3層の間に配置される光学干渉層を含む請求項1に記載の有機発光ダイオード(OLED)。
- 前記第1層は電子を前記発光層に注入する電子注入層を含み、ここで、前記第3層は電気導電層を含む請求項2に記載の有機発光ダイオード(OLED)。
- 前記光学的干渉層は前記発光波長の1/3と1/4の間の光学厚さを有する請求項2又は3に記載の有機発光ダイオード(OLED)。
- 前記光学的干渉層は実質的に前記発光波長の1/4の光学厚さを有する請求項4に記載の有機発光ダイオード(OLED)。
- 前記発光波長は前記発光層の発光波長のピーク又は中心に実質的に等しい請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の有機発光ダイオード(OLED)。
- 前記第3層は金属層を含む請求項2に記載の有機発光ダイオード(OLED)。
- 前記光学的干渉層は広いバンドギャップの半導体、好ましくは亜鉛セレナイド又はガリウムナイトライドを含む請求項2ないし7のいずれかに記載の有機発光ダイオード(OLED)。
- 前記光学的干渉層は透明導電体、好ましくはインジウム錫酸化物又はインジウム亜鉛酸化物を含む請求項2ないし7のいずれかに記載の有機発光ダイオード(OLED)。
- 前記光学的干渉層は絶縁性材料を含む請求項2ないし7のいずれかに記載の有機発光ダイオード(OLED)。
- 前記電子注入層は金属層を含む請求項2ないし7のいずれかに記載の有機発光ダイオード(OLED)。
- 請求項1ないし11のいずれかに記載の有機発光ダイオード(OLED)を含むディスプレイ装置。
- 1又は2以上のOLEDを含み、それぞれはアノードとカソードの間に挟まれるOLED材料層を含み、前記OLED材料は、アノード及びカソード電極層に間を電流が通過するとき発光し、第1の前記電極層は電子発光波長のピークにおいて少なくとも部分的に透過性であり第2の前記電極層より装置の表示表面に近接しており、これによって第1の電極層を通して電子発光するように構成されており、ここで、第1の電極は、前記OLED材料を接続するための結合層と第3の実質的に電気伝導層の間に挟まれるスペース層を含み、ここで、前記スペーサー層は、前記ピークの電子発光波長における第1電極層の透過が実質的に最大化されるように前記ピークの電子発光波長の1/4波長の約奇数倍の厚さを有する有機発光材料(OLED)系ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1の電極層は前記カソード電極層である請求項13に記載の有機発光材料(OLED)系ディスプレイ装置。
