Claims (9)
- 液体スプレーガンであって、
出口端部を有するノズル部分を備える本体組立体を具備し、該ノズル部分が、入口端部から出口端部まで延びて該ノズル部分の該出口端部を通って開口する液体通路を有し、
前記本体組立体は、入口端部から、前記ノズル部分の前記出口端部にある出口端部まで延びる第1空気通路を有し、該第1空気通路の該出口端部は、前記液体出口通路の前記出口端部の周囲に延び、大気圧を超える圧力下の空気を、該液体出口通路の該出口端部から流出する液体に対向するように方向付けて、該液体を軸線中心にほぼ円錐状の流れに形状付けながら、該液体を前記ノズル部分の前記出口端部から放出するように形成され、
前記本体組立体は、2つの離間配置されたホーンを有するエアキャップ部分と、それらホーンが前記軸線の両側で前記ノズル部分の前記出口端部を越えて突出する状態で、前記ノズル部分に該エアキャップ部分を取付ける手段とを備え、
前記本体組立体は、入口端部から複数の出口通路に延びる第2空気通路を有し、それら出口通路は、前記ホーンに沿って前記ノズルの前記出口端部から離間配置されて前記軸線の両側に向けられる出口孔を有し、それら出口通路は、該第2空気通路を貫流する大気圧を超える圧力下の空気を、前記第1空気通路を貫流する空気によって形成される液体の流れの両側に対向するように方向付けて、液体の流れを広い長形の流れに再形成し、
前記ノズル部分に前記エアキャップ部分を取付ける前記手段は、前記エアキャップ部分が前記軸線を中心に前記ノズル部分に対して回転することを許容し、前記エアキャップ部分および前記ノズル部分は、前記ノズル部分に対する前記エアキャップ部分の相対回転を、予め定めた角度に渡る第1および第2相対位置の間での回転に制限するストッパを備え、前記エアキャップ部分を前記ノズル部分に取付ける手段は、予め定めたトルクが前記エアキャップ部分と前記ノズル部分との間に手作業で印加されるまで、前記エアキャップ部分と前記ノズル部分との相対回転を制限する摩擦係合式の表面を備える、
液体スプレーガン。 - 前記ホーン内の前記出口通路および孔が、非円形である、請求項1に記載のスプレーガン。
- 前記ホーン内の前記出口通路および孔が、前記軸線に平行な方向への深さよりも、前記軸線に直交する方向への広い幅を有する、請求項1に記載のスプレーガン。
- 前記ホーン内の前記出口通路および孔が、ほぼ矩形である、請求項3に記載のスプレーガン。
- 前記出口通路および孔は、前記ホーン内の対向する出口通路および孔の第1および第2の対を備え、該出口通路および孔の該第1の対の各々は、前記軸線に直交する方向への約0.154インチつまり0.39cmの幅と、前記軸線に平行な方向への約0.35インチつまり0.89cmの深さとを有して、前記ノズル部分の前記出口端部から約0.25インチつまり0.64cm離間して配置され、該出口通路および孔の該第2の対の各々は、前記軸線に直交する方向への約0.165インチつまり0.42cmの幅と、前記軸線に平行な方向への約0.05インチつまり0.13cmの深さとを有して、前記ノズル部分の前記出口端部から約0.35インチつまり0.89cm離間して配置される、請求項1に記載のスプレーガン。
- 前記第1空気通路の前記出口端部は、集束円錐パターンで前記第1空気通路から出る空気の周縁部分を、前記液体通路の前記出口端部を出る液体に対向するべく方向付けるように形成される、請求項1に記載のスプレーガン。
- 前記エアキャップ部分および前記ノズル部分が、ポリマー材料から成形される、請求項1に記載の液体スプレーガン。
- 貫通空気分配通路を有する再利用可能なプラットフォーム部分であって、該貫通空気分配通路が、大気圧を超える圧力下の空気の供給部に接続されるようになっている入口開口部と、第1および第2空気出口開口部と、空気が該空気分配通路を貫流するときに、該空気分配通路の該第1および第2空気出口開口部を通る空気の流れを別個に調整する手段と、該空気分配通路の該出口開口部を通る空気の流れを阻止または許容する手動操作手段とを含んでなる、プラットフォーム部分をさらに備え、
前記再利用可能なプラットフォーム部分および前記ノズル部分は、前記空気分配通路の前記第1および第2空気出口開口部が、前記第1および第2通路の前記入口端部と連通する状態で、前記ノズル部分を前記再利用可能なプラットフォーム部分に解放可能に取付ける手動操作可能な手段を有する、請求項7に記載の液体スプレーガン。 - 前記再利用可能なプラットフォーム部分に前記ノズル部分を解放可能に取付ける前記手動操作可能な手段は、互いに反対側の内面および外面を有する支持壁並びに該内面と該外面との間で該支持壁を貫通する開口部を含む前記再利用可能なプラットフォーム部分と、前記ノズル部分の前記出口端部とは反対側に、接触面からの突出部を備える前記ノズル部分とを含み、該突出部は、該接触面が前記外面に接触するとともに前記突出部の末端部分が前記支持壁の前記外面を越えて突出する状態で、該支持壁を通る該開口部に収容され、該突出部の該末端部分が横断溝を有し、前記手動操作可能な手段は、該末端部分から手動で取り外すように構成されて該横断溝に解放可能に係合するラッチ部材をさらに備える、請求項8に記載の液体スプレーガン。
