Abstract
【解決手段】 カニューラ(12)と、当該カニューラのルーメン(24)から延在可能で、ルーメンへ引き込み可能な一またはそれ以上の針(14、30)を具える電気エネルギィ送出用装置(10)。各針(32)の遠位部分が前記ルーメン(24)から延在可能であり、組織貫通遠位先端(32)で終端している。各遠位部分(32)は、導電性で多孔性の材料でできており、これによって、電解液が流れて遠位部分周辺の組織に電気エネルギィを送出する多孔電極を提供する。

Description
本発明は、一般的に、腫瘍などの組織に液体を注入して高周波電気エネルギィを用いて加熱を強化し、組織を切除する装置に関する。
固相組織に高周波(RF)電気エネルギィを送出する電気外科的器具は公知である。例えば、公開PCT出願WO96/29946号は、カニューラの遠位端から組織へ延在する複数の独立したワイヤ電極を具える電気外科的プローブを開示している。この電極は、モノポーラまたはバイポーラ態様で電圧がかけられ、ターゲット組織領域を加熱して壊死させる。このようなプローブは、肝臓、腎臓、膵臓、胃、および脾臓などの器官内の腫瘍の処置用に提言されている。
本発明の一実施例によれば、患者の内部組織に電気エネルギィを送出する装置が提供されており、この装置は、近位端と、患者の身体に装入する大きさの遠位端と、遠位端から近位端へ延在するルーメンを有する筒状部材を具える。一の実施例では、この筒状部材は、先の尖った遠位先端を有する実質的に硬質のカニューラであってもよく、組織を通ってカニューラを前進させる。
図面を参照すると、図1−4は、組織構造(図示せず)中の良性あるいは悪性の腫瘍などの、組織を治療する装置10の第1実施例を示す。一般的に、装置10は、カニューラまたはその他の導入器12と、カニューラ12から展開可能な電極アレイ14を具える。更に、装置10は、針アレイ14に接続された電気エネルギィ源16及び/又は導電液体源18を具えていても良い。
Claims (9)
- 患者内の組織へ電気エネルギィを送出する装置において:
近位端と、患者の身体に装入するサイズの遠位端と、前記遠位端から前記近位端へ延在するルーメンとを具える筒状部材と;
前記ルーメンから少なくとも部分的に延在しており、組織−貫通遠位先端で終わる遠位部分を具える針であって、前記遠位部分が導電性で多孔性材料を具え、これによって、電解液が流れて電気エネルギィを前記遠位部分の周辺組織に送出する電極を提供する針と;
を具えることを特徴とする装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置において、前記遠位部分が焼成したステンレススチールであることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置において、前記針が、前記針の近位端から遠位部分まで延在する針ルーメンを具えることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項3に記載の装置が更に、前記針の遠位部分に電解液を送出するために前記針ルーメンに連結された電解液源を具えることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置において、前記針全体が多孔性材料を具えることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置において、前記筒状部材の中に前記遠位部分を引き込むこと、および前記筒状部材から前記遠位部分を展開することの少なくとも一方のために、前記針が前記筒状部材に対して移動可能であることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置において、前記筒状部材が絶縁スリーブを具えることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置が更に、前記筒状部材の遠位端を越して前記ルーメンから延在可能な複数の針であって、各針が組織を貫通する遠位先端を有することを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項8に記載の装置において、複数の針の各々が、導電性で多孔性材料を具える遠位部分を具える、これによって、それを通って電解液が流れる多孔性電極アレイを提供し、電極アレイの遠位部分近傍の組織に電気エネルギィを送出するようにしたことを特徴とする装置。
