Description
本発明は、一般的に、腫瘍などの組織に液体を注入して高周波電気エネルギィを用いて加熱を強化し、組織を切除する装置に関する。
固相組織に高周波(RF)電気エネルギィを送出する電気外科的器具は公知である。例えば、公開PCT出願WO96/29946号は、カニューラの遠位端から組織へ延在する複数の独立したワイヤ電極を具える電気外科的プローブを開示している。この電極は、モノポーラまたはバイポーラ態様で電圧がかけられ、ターゲット組織領域を加熱して壊死させる。このようなプローブは、肝臓、腎臓、膵臓、胃、および脾臓などの器官内の腫瘍の処置用に提言されている。
本発明の一実施例によれば、患者の内部組織に電気エネルギィを送出する装置が提供されており、この装置は、近位端と、患者の身体に装入する大きさの遠位端と、遠位端から近位端へ延在するルーメンを有する筒状部材を具える。一の実施例では、この筒状部材は、先の尖った遠位先端を有する実質的に硬質のカニューラであってもよく、組織を通ってカニューラを前進させる。
図面を参照すると、図1−4は、組織構造(図示せず)中の良性あるいは悪性の腫瘍などの、組織を治療する装置10の第1実施例を示す。一般的に、装置10は、カニューラまたはその他の導入器12と、カニューラ12から展開可能な電極アレイ14を具える。更に、装置10は、針アレイ14に接続された電気エネルギィ源16及び/又は導電液体源18を具えていても良い。
Claims (8)
- 患者内の組織へ電気エネルギィを送出する装置において、
近位端と、患者の身体に装入するサイズの遠位端と、ルーメンとを備える筒状部材であって、前記ルーメンは前記筒状部材の遠位端及び近位端の間に延在する前記筒状部材と、
前記筒状部材の遠位端から延在可能な一対の対向部材であって、該対向部材は互いに遠ざかるように拡開可能であるとともに、前記対向部材の内側面の間に組織を係合するように互いに向かって移動可能であり、前記対向部材は該対向部材の間に係合された組織に電気エネルギィを送出するために一つ以上の電極を有する前記対向部材と、
少なくとも一つの対向部材の内側面から延在する一つ以上の中空状針であって、各針は前記対向部材の間に係合された組織を貫通する尖った先端と、該尖った先端によって貫通される組織内に前記対向部材内のルーメンから導電液体を送出するために、前記対向部材内のルーメンに連通する前記尖った先端の出口とを有する前記中空状針とを備える装置。 - 前記装置は前記筒状部材のルーメンを通って延在する制御部材をさらに備え、前記対向部材は前記制御部材から延在し、前記対向部材を前記筒状部材のルーメン内に少なくとも部分的に引き込むように前記制御部材を近位側に方向付けることによって、前記対向部材は互いの方向に移動可能である請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記制御部材は前記対向部材内のルーメンを介して前記針の出口に連通する注入ルーメンを備える請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、前記針の出口に導電液体を送出するために前記注入ルーメンに連通する導電液体源をさらに備える請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、前記導電液体源から前記針の出口まで送出される導電液体から気体を除去するために前記導電液体源に連結されたフロート弁をさらに備える請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記対向部材の内側面は前記電極を形成する導電性材料を備える請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記筒状部材は硬質なカニューラからなり、前記遠位端は組織を貫通するために尖った遠位先端を備える請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は組織を貫通するための尖った遠位先端を有する硬質なカニューラをさらに備え、前記筒状部材は前記対向部材が前記筒状部材内に引き込まれる際に前記カニューラを通って挿入可能である請求項1に記載の装置。
