Abstract
Description
(ここで、Aは酸素又は硫黄であり、R1は二価の有機基であり、R2及びR3はそれぞれ独立して一価の有機基であり、mは0〜2の整数である)で表されたものを含む。R2及びR3がそれぞれ1〜4個の炭素原子を有するアルキル基であるのが好ましい。Aが硫黄である場合、上記式はイソチオシアナートアルコキシシラン化合物を表す。本明細書において、「イソシアナートアルコキシシラン」という語は、イソチオシアナートアルコキシシラン化合物も指す。イソシアナートアルコキシシラン化合物は、例えば米国特許第4,146,585号に記載され、その内容を本願に引用して援用する。
(ここで、
はアニオン重合した重合体であり、A,R1,R2,R3及びmは上述の通りである)に示すように、アミドとアルコキシシランの官能基の両方を有する停止した重合体をもたらすと考えられる。しかしながら、副反応又はカップリング反応の結果として、他の構造も可能である。
(ここでinitは官能開始剤からの官能残基であり、A,R1,R2,R3及びmは上述の通りである)で表されるような多官能化重合体であると考えられる。initは、ゴムもしくはゴム充填剤と反応又は相互作用し、そうでなければ充填剤を配合したゴム組成物又は加硫ゴムに対して望ましい影響を及ぼす官能基であるのが好ましい。これらのゴムもしくはゴム充填剤と反応又は相互作用し、そうでなければ充填剤を配合したゴム組成物又は加硫ゴムに対して望ましい影響を及ぼす基、つまり置換基は、既知であり、該置換基としては、トリアルキルスズ置換基、環状アミン基、又は硫黄含有複素環を挙げることができる。具体例としてのトリアルキルスズ置換基は、米国特許第5,268,439号に開示されており、その内容を本願に引用して援用する。具体例としての環状アミン基は、米国特許第6,080,853号、第5,786,448号、第6,025,450号及び第6,046,288号に開示されており、その内容を本願に引用して援用する。具体例としての硫黄含有複素環は、WO200/020475に開示されており、その内容を本願に引用して援用する。
タービン攪拌羽根を備える反応器18.9Lに、ヘキサン4.8kg、ヘキサンに溶解したスチレン1.22kg(33質量%)、ヘキサンに溶解した1,3-ブタジエン7.39kg(22.1質量%)を加えた。該反応器にヘキサンに溶解した1.68Mのブチルリチウム11mLとヘキサンに溶解した1.6Mの2,2’-ジ(テトラヒドロフリル)プロパン3.83mLを充填し、バッチ温度を50〜約58℃に制御した。約45分後にバッチを32℃に冷却し、次いで一定量のリビングポリ(スチレン-co-ブタジエン)セメントを窒素でパージした密封ボトル800mLに移送した。その後、ボトル内容物をイソプロパノールで停止し、凝固及びドラム乾燥した。重合体のTgは−32℃であった。
例1で製造した別の一定量のリビングポリ(スチレン-co-ブタジエン)セメントを、窒素でパージした密封ボトルに移送し、これにブチルリチウム1当量当りイソシアナートプロピルトリメトキシシラン(シルクエスト(登録商標)A-リンク35)1当量を加えた。ボトルの内容物を約50℃で約30分間攪拌した。次にボトル内容物を凝固し、ドラム乾燥した。例1及び2の重合体の特性は表1に記載の通りであった。
各カーボンブラックのゴム組成物を、初期(マスターバッチ)及び最終と名づけた二つの段階で製造した。初期段階では、例1又は2からの重合体を、60RPM、133℃で運転する65gバンバリーミキサーでカーボンブラック、酸化防止剤、ステアリン酸、ワックス、アロマチックオイル及び酸化亜鉛と混合した。具体的には、まず重合体をミキサーに入れ、0.5分後にステアリン酸を除く残りの配合剤を加えた。次いで3分後にステアリン酸を加えた。初期では5〜6分間混合した。混合の最後で、温度は約165℃であった。試料を60℃の温度で運転するロール機に移し、ここでシートとした後、常温に冷却した。

(式中、Wdは乾燥した残留物の質量であり、Fは原試料中の充填剤及びあらゆる他の溶剤不溶物の質量であり、Rは原試料中のゴムの質量である)によって決定した。
各カーボンブラック/シリカのゴム組成物を、初期、中間及び最終と名づけた三つの段階で製造した。初期段階では、例1又は2からの重合体を、60RPM、133℃で運転する65gバンバリーミキサーでカーボンブラック、シリカ、酸化防止剤、ステアリン酸及びアロマチックオイルと混合した。具体的には、まず重合体をミキサーに入れ、0.5分後にステアリン酸を除く残りの配合剤を加えた。次いで3分後にステアリン酸を加えた。初期では5〜6分間混合した。混合の最後で、温度は約165℃であった。試料を約95℃未満に冷却し、再練りミキサーに移した。
Claims (10)
- アニオン重合したリビング重合体を、イソシアナートアルコキシシラン又はイソチオシアナートアルコキシシランと接触させることを含む官能化重合体の製造方法。
- アニオン重合したリビング重合体をイソシアナートアルコキシシラン又はイソチオシアナートアルコキシシランと接触させることにより形成した官能化重合体である少なくとも一種の加硫性ゴム及び充填剤を含むゴム配合物を加硫することによって製造された加硫ゴム。
- アニオン重合した重合体が、1,3-ブタジエン、イソプレン、1,3-ペンタジエン、2,3-ジメチル-1,3-ブタジエン、1,3-ヘキサジエン、ミルセン、スチレン、α-メチルスチレン、p-メチルスチレン及びビニルナフタレンからなる少なくとも一つの単量体から製造される請求項1に記載の方法、請求項2に記載の加硫ゴム、又は請求項3に記載の官能化重合体。
- アニオン重合した重合体が、スチレンと1,3-ブタジエンとの共重合体である請求項1に記載の方法、請求項2に記載の加硫ゴム、又は請求項3に記載の官能化重合体。
- アニオン重合した重合体が、周期表の1族又は2族の少なくとも一つの元素を含む開始剤の使用によって形成される請求項1に記載の方法、請求項2に記載の加硫ゴム、又は請求項3に記載の官能化重合体。
- アニオン重合した重合体を、開始剤を用いて形成し、該アニオン重合した重合体を開始剤1当量当り約0.3〜約1当量の停止剤と接触させる請求項1に記載の方法、請求項2に記載の加硫ゴム、又は請求項3に記載の官能化重合体。
- イソシアナートアルコキシシラン化合物又はイソチオシアナートアルコキシシラン化合物が、γ-イソシアナートプロピルトリエトキシシラン、γ-イソチオシアナートプロピルトリエトキシシラン、γ-イソシアナートプロピルトリメトキシシラン、及びγ-イソチオシアナートプロピルトリメトキシシランからなる請求項1に記載の方法、又は請求項2に記載の加硫ゴム。
- イソシアナートアルコキシシランが、γ-イソシアナートプロピルトリメトキシシランからなる請求項1に記載の方法、又は請求項2に記載の加硫ゴム。
- 充填剤がカーボンブラック、シリカ又はこれらの混合物からなる請求項2に記載の加硫ゴム。
