Abstract
【解決手段】信号線DTLと走査線RSLで囲まれた画素領域に設けられた画素回路のそれぞれに電流を供給する複数の電源線PWL、画素回路毎に並列に接続された複数の分割有機EL素子OLED1乃至OLED4を有し、信号線DTLにゲート電極を接続し、複数の分割有機EL素子OLED1乃至OLED4のアノード電極にソース電極を並列に接続し、電源線PWLにドレインを接続して、信号線DTLから取り込んだ信号で、発光期間に複数の分割有機EL素子OLED1乃至OLED4に供給する総電流量を制御する第1薄膜トランジスタTFT1と、第1薄膜トランジスタTFT1と各分割有機EL素子OLED1乃至OLED4のそれぞれの間に設けて、それぞれの分割有機EL素子OLED1乃至OLED4へ第1薄膜トランジスタTFT1から供給される電流を制御する複数の第2薄膜トランジスタTFT21乃至TFT24を備える。

Description
前記信号線にゲート電極を接続し、前記複数の分割有機EL素子の第1の電極にソース電極を並列に接続し、前記電源線にドレインを接続して、前記信号線から取り込んだ信号で、発光期間に前記複数の分割有機EL素子に供給する総電流量を制御する第1薄膜トランジスタと、
前記第1薄膜トランジスタと前記各分割有機EL素子のそれぞれの間に設けて、前記それぞれの分割有機EL素子へ前記第1薄膜トランジスタから供給される電流を制御する複数の第2薄膜トランジスタを備える。
Claims (5)
- 有機EL素子を複数備えた有機EL表示装置において、
信号線と第1走査線との交点に対応して形成され、該薄膜トランジスタがオンした状態で映像信号を取り込む第1薄膜トランジスタを備え、
該第1薄膜トランジスタによって取り込まれた映像信号に対応した電流を複数の有機EL素子に供給しうる回路を画素毎に備えていることを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 有機EL素子で構成された画素を複数備えた有機EL表示装置において、
信号線と第1走査線との交点に対応して形成され、該薄膜トランジスタがオンした状態で映像信号を取り込む第1薄膜トランジスタを備え、
該第1薄膜トランジスタによって取り込まれた映像信号に対応した電流を複数の画素に供給する回路を備えていることを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 請求項1又は2において、
前記有機EL素子に電流を供給する電源線と、
前記有機EL素子と電源線との間に流れる電流を制御する第2薄膜トランジスタと、
該第2薄膜トランジスタのゲートに接続されたコンデンサと、
前記コンデンサの他方に接続された第1薄膜トランジスタのソース電極と、を有し、
前記回路は、前記第2薄膜トランジスタと前記複数の有機EL素子との間のそれぞれに第3薄膜トランジスタを有することを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 請求項2又は3において、
前記回路は、
前記第3薄膜トランジスタのゲートに接続された第2走査線を有することを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 請求項4において、
前記電流を供給しない有機EL素子は、前記電流を供給する有機EL素子よりも発光効率が低い有機EL素子であることを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。
