Abstract
【解決手段】被冷却機器を冷却する装置であって、被冷却機器を収容する極低温容器(10)と、極低温容器を満たす極低温ガスと、極低温ガスを冷却するために極低温容器(10)の内側面にさらされた冷却面を有する冷凍機(12)と、極低温容器内で極低温ガスを自由に循環させるように構成されており、極低温ガスが、冷凍機によって冷却され、被冷却機器からの熱によって加熱され、それにより被冷却機器が冷却されるように構成されたガス流発生器とを有する。

Description
なくなるので、輸送中に磁石を低温に維持するために、例えば、出願中の英国特許出願0515936.3に記載されているような冷凍窒素を入れたタンクなどの特別な解決策が必要である。

Claims (11)
- 被冷却機器を冷却する装置であって、
被冷却機器を収容する極低温容器(10)と、
極低温容器を満たす極低温ガスと、
極低温ガスを冷却するために極低温容器(10)の内側面にさらされた冷却面を有する冷凍機(12)と、
極低温容器内で極低温ガスを自由に循環させるように構成されており、極低温ガスが、冷凍機によって冷却され、かつ前記被冷却機器からの熱によって加熱され、それにより被冷却機器が冷却されるように構成されたガス流発生器と、
を有することを特徴とする装置。 - ガス流発生器がファンを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- ガス流発生器が、極低温容器内に極低温ガスの熱対流(16)を作り出すのに適切な位置に配置されたヒータ(14)を有することを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の装置。
- ヒータ(14)が冷凍機(12)と正反対側に配置され、ヒータと冷凍機とが垂直中心線(AA)の両側に別れて配置され、さらに冷凍機が垂直方向においてヒータより高い位置に配置されたことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の装置。
- 被冷却機器を冷却する装置であって、
被冷却機器を収容する極低温容器(10)と、
極低温容器を満たす極低温ガスと、
極低温ガスを冷却するために極低温容器(10)の内側にさらされた冷却面を有し、極低温容器内で熱対流(16)によって極低温ガスを自由に循環させるように極低温容器上に非対称的に配置され、その結果、極低温ガスが、冷凍機によって冷却され、被冷却機器からの熱によって加熱され、それにより被冷却機器が冷却される冷凍機(12)と、
を有することを特徴とする装置。 - 極低温容器内に、極低温ガスの熱対流(16)の循環を支援するのに適切な位置に配置されたヒータ(14)を更に有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の装置。
- ヒータ(14)が冷凍機(12)と正反対側に配置され、ヒータと冷凍機とが垂直中心線(AA)の両側に別れて配置され、さらに冷凍機が垂直方向においてヒータより高い位置に配置されたことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の装置。
- 極低温ガスが、ヘリウム、窒素、アルゴン、水素及びネオンの少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 極低温ガスがヘリウムを含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の装置。
- 極低温容器内に、極低温ガスを十分に供給できる量の液化された極低温ガスが、極低温ガスと熱平衡状態で供給され、前記液化された極低温ガスが、被冷却機器と接触していないことを特徴とする請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 極低温容器が、環状の円筒形形状であることを特徴とする請求項1から10のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
