Abstract
【解決手段】第1ステップにおいて、後の溶融加工に伴う金属材の結晶粒の粗大化を防止するため、添加材を接合部に供給しつつ摩擦攪拌接合を行う(S01)。その後、MIG溶接等の溶融加工を行う(S02)。接合部に添加する添加材は、金属材と化学反応を起こさず且つ金属材の融点より高い融点を有する物質と、金属材に対してミスフィットが±15%以内である物質とを含む物質とする。これにより、溶融加工による結晶粒の粗大化が抑制され、接合強度を向上させることができる。

Description
厚さ6mmのAZ31材(Alを3%、Znを1%含有するMg合金)を用意した。用意したAZ31材の表面に、摩擦攪拌接合による接合部を想定して、幅1mm、深さ2mmの溝を形成した。形成した溝に、図10に示す粒径0.5〜5μm、平均粒径1μmのSiC粉末108を充填した。図3に示すような摩擦攪拌接合を想定して、AZ31材表面のSiC粉末を充填した溝に回転ツール10のプローブ12を挿入し、回転ツール10を回転させつつ移動させる摩擦攪拌処理を行った。
厚さ6mmのJIS H 4000に規定のアルミニウム材であるA1050材を用意した。上記実験例1と同様に、表面に幅1mm、深さ2mmの溝を形成し、溝にSiC粉末を充填して摩擦攪拌処理を行った。摩擦攪拌処理後のA1050材に対し、300℃,1時間の熱処理を施した。また、比較のため、SiC粉末を添加せずに摩擦攪拌処理を行ったA1050材と、摩擦攪拌処理を行っていないA1050材とに対しても、300℃,1時間の熱処理を施した。熱処理の前後において、それぞれのA1050材の微小硬度を測定した。
厚さ5mmのJIS H 4000に規定のアルミニウム材であるA1050材を2枚用意した。図3に示すように、互いのA1050材を接合部で突き合わせ、接合部に平均粒径1μmのTiC粉末を充填し、回転ツールの回転速度500rpm、接合速度500mm/minで摩擦攪拌接合を行った。摩擦攪拌接合による接合部の幅は、A1050材の表面で10mmである。次に、摩擦攪拌接合による接合部の真上から当該接合部に平行に、180Aで200mm/minの接合速度でTIG溶接によるメルトラン溶接を行った。溶融した範囲の幅は、A1050材の板の厚みの中心で6mm程度となった。その後、当該接合部の横断面における板の厚みの中心部分の硬度を0.3mmピッチで測定した。
Claims (10)
- 2つの金属材を接合部において対向させ、前記金属材と化学反応を起こさず且つ前記金属材の融点より高い融点を有する添加材を前記接合部に供給しつつ、前記接合部に棒状の回転ツールを挿入し、前記回転ツールを回転させ、前記2つの金属材を接合する第1ステップと、
前記接合部にさらに溶融加工を施す第2ステップと、
を含む金属材の加工方法。 - 2つの金属材を接合部において対向させ、前記金属材の単位結晶格子の稜の長さaに対して当該単位結晶格子の稜の長さa’の整数倍および整数倍分の1のいずれかが±15%以内である添加材を前記接合部に供給しつつ、前記接合部に棒状の回転ツールを挿入し、前記回転ツールを回転させ、前記2つの金属材を接合する第1ステップと、
前記接合部にさらに溶融加工を施す第2ステップと、
を含む金属材の加工方法。 - 2つの金属材を接合部において対向させ、前記金属材と化学反応を起こさず且つ前記金属材の融点より高い融点を有する添加材と、前記金属材の単位結晶格子の稜の長さaに対して当該単位結晶格子の稜の長さa’の整数倍および整数倍分の1のいずれかが±15%以内である添加材と、を前記接合部に供給しつつ、前記接合部に棒状の回転ツールを挿入し、前記回転ツールを回転させ、前記2つの金属材を接合する第1ステップと、
前記接合部にさらに溶融加工を施す第2ステップと、
を含む金属材の加工方法。 - 前記第1ステップにおいて、前記接合部の長手方向に沿って前記回転ツールを回転させつつ移動させ、前記2つの金属材を接合する請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の金属材の接合方法。
- 前記第1ステップにおいて、前記接合部への前記添加材の供給は、前記接合部に回転ツールを挿入する前に、前記接合部に前記添加材を配置することによって行う、
請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の金属材の加工方法。 - 前記第1ステップにおいて、前記接合部への前記添加材の供給は、前記回転ツールの移動に伴い、前記接合部における前記回転ツールの移動先の部位に前記添加材を放出することによって行う、
請求項2〜4のいずれか1項に記載の金属材の加工方法。 - 前記第1ステップにおいて、前記接合部において回転ツールを移動させる前に、前記接合部を前記回転ツールと対向する方向に開いた開先に加工する、
請求項6に記載の金属材の加工方法。 - 前記第1ステップにおいて、前記接合部への前記添加材の供給は、前記回転ツール内部から前記接合部へ前記添加材を放出することによって行う、
請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の金属材の加工方法。 - 前記第1ステップにおいて、前記接合部への前記添加材の供給は、予め前記回転ツールの材料に前記添加材を含有させておき、前記回転ツールを回転させることにより、前記回転ツールを磨耗させつつ前記接合部に前記添加材を供給する、
請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の金属材の加工方法。 - 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の金属材の加工方法によって、2つ以上の金属材を加工して形成された構造物。
