Abstract
【解決手段】車輪取付フランジ10を一体に有し、外周に内側転走面1aと小径段部1bを形成したハブ輪1と、小径段部1bに嵌合し、外周に内側転走面6aを形成した内輪6とからなる内方部材と、外周に車体取付フランジ5bを一体に有し、内周に複列の外側転走面5aを形成した外方部材5と、複列の転動体7とを備え、小径段部1bの端部を径方向外方に塑性変形させて加締部12を形成し、この加締部12で内輪6をハブ輪1に固定した車輪用軸受装置において、少なくとも車輪取付フランジ10を有するハブ輪1が調質処理されており、それぞれの転走面が所定の表面硬さに焼入れ硬化されている。

Claims (8)
- 内周に複列の外側転走面を有する外方部材と、前記複列の外側転走面に対向する複列の内側転走面を有する内方部材と、前記外方部材および内方部材のそれぞれの転走面間に転動自在に収容した複列の転動体とを備え、前記外方部材または内方部材のいずれか一方に車輪取付フランジを一体に形成した車輪用軸受装置の製造方法において、
鍛造後、少なくとも前記車輪取付フランジを有する外方部材または内方部材が調質処理されており、それぞれの転走面が所定の表面硬さに焼入れ硬化されていると共に、前記調質処理と前記焼入れ硬化処理の間又は前記鍛造加工と前記調質処理の間に旋削加工を行うことを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置の製造方法。 - 内周に複列の外側転走面を有する外方部材と、前記複列の外側転走面に対向する複列の内側転走面を有する内方部材と、前記外方部材および内方部材のそれぞれの転走面間に転動自在に収容した複列の転動体とを備え、前記外方部材または内方部材のいずれか一方に車輪取付フランジを一体に形成した車輪用軸受装置において、
鍛造後、少なくとも前記車輪取付フランジを有する外方部材または内方部材が調質処理されており、それぞれの転走面が所定の表面硬さに焼入れ硬化されていると共に、前記調質処理と前記焼入れ硬化処理の間又は前記鍛造加工と前記調質処理の間に旋削加工を行うことを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記内方部材が、車輪取付フランジを有するハブ輪と、このハブ輪に圧入された内輪とを備え、前記外方部材の複列の外側転走面のうち一方の外側転走面に対向する内側転走面が前記ハブ輪の外周面に直接形成され、他方の外側転走面に対向する内側転走面が前記内輪の外周面に形成されている請求項2に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記車輪取付フランジのアウトボード側付け根部の表面硬さを35HRC以下に設定した請求項2または3に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記ハブ輪のインボード側端部を径方向外方に塑性変形させて加締部を形成し、この加締部で前記内輪を前記ハブ輪に対して軸方向に固定した請求項3または4に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記インボード側端部を調質処理の後、焼戻しによりその表面硬さを25HRC以下に設定した請求項5に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記外方部材の両端部にシールを装着し、そのアウトボード側のシールのシールリップが摺接するシールランド部を、前記車輪取付フランジのインボード側付け根部に形成すると共に、前記シールランド部の表面硬さを54〜64HRCとした請求項3乃至6いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記調質処理される内方部材または外方部材は、炭素0.40〜0.80wt%を含む中炭素鋼からなる請求項2乃至7いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
