Abstract
【解決手段】本発明のバックライトユニット100は、液晶パネルを有するLCDで用いるバックライトユニットであって、基板30と、前記基板30上で互いから離隔して配列している複数の光源40と、前記光源40が放出した光を前記光源40の上側方向に反射する全反射層50と、前記光源40の上側に形成され、前記放出した光の一部を透過し、前記放出した光の他の一部を前記基板30の下側方向に反射するように酸化物層が積層されている光学層60とを含み、前記光源40が放出した光の光学的共振を誘起することを特徴とする。

Claims (8)
- 液晶パネルを有するLCDで用いるバックライトユニットであって、
基板と、
前記基板上で互いから離隔して配列している複数の光源と、
前記光源が放出した光を前記光源の上側方向に反射する全反射層と、
前記光源の上側に形成され、前記放出した光の一部を透過し、前記放出した光の他の一部を前記基板の下側方向に反射するように酸化物層が積層されている光学層とを含み、
前記光源が放出した光の光学的共振を誘起することを特徴とするバックライトユニット。 - 前記光学層は、屈折率が互いに異なる酸化物層を交互に繰り返し積層してなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記酸化物層は、屈折率が2.3以下の低屈折率酸化物または中屈折率酸化物層と、屈折率が2.3よりも大きな高屈折率酸化物層とを交互に繰り返し積層してなることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記酸化物層は、屈折率が1.5よりも大きく且つ2.3以下の中屈折率酸化物層と、屈折率が2.3よりも大きな高屈折率酸化物層と、屈折率が1.5以下の低屈折率酸化物層とを交互に繰り返し積層してなることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記光学層は、前記光学層に照射される光を透過及び反射可能な金属層を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記全反射層及び前記光学層のそれぞれの屈折率と厚みとの積の合計が、前記光源から放出される光の波長の半分の整数倍であり、
前記光学層を透過して放出される光が強めあう干渉を起こすことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4の何れか1項に記載のバックライトユニット。 - 前記光源が放出する光が、前記全反射層と前記光学層との間の側面からもれ出るのを防ぐために、前記バックライトユニットの側面で前記全反射層から前記光学層まで連結されている側反射部を更に含んだことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記側反射部は、前記全反射層から前記光学層の方向に見た時に、前記バックライトユニットの外側へ向かうように形成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のバックライトユニット。
