Abstract
【解決手段】反応ガスを電気化学反応させて発電する複数のセル2を積層したスタック3と、複数設けられたスタック3が直列回路を形成するように各スタック3の端部どうしを導通する導通部材9とを備えた燃料電池1に対し、スタック3の端部以外のセル2と他のスタック3のセル2とを導通させる第1のリレー4を設ける。第1のリレー4は、セル電圧値が所定値以下となっているセル2を当該燃料電池1の直列回路から切り離すためのバイパスを形成することができる。

Claims (7)
- 反応ガスを電気化学反応させて発電する複数のセルを積層したスタックと、
複数設けられた前記スタックが直列回路を形成するように各スタックの端部どうしを導通する導通部材と、
を備えた燃料電池であって、
前記スタックの端部以外のセルと他のスタックのセルとを導通させる第1のリレーを備えたことを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 前記第1のリレーは、セル電圧値が所定値以下となっているセルを当該燃料電池の直列回路から切り離すためのバイパスを形成するものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池。
- 前記直列回路から切り離される前記セルの数を変更可能な複数の前記第1のリレーが並列に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の燃料電池。
- 前記導通部材は、前記第1のリレーとは別個に設けられた第2のリレーによって構成されたものであることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の燃料電池。
- 起動時に前記第2のリレーを切断し、前記第1のリレーを接続することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の燃料電池。
- セル電圧が所定値に回復した際に、前記第1のリレーを切断し、前記第2のリレーを接続することを特徴とする請求項4または5に記載の燃料電池。
- 前記複数のスタックがセル積層方向に直行する方向に一列に配列されているとともに、当該スタックの正極と負極とが交互に逆向きに配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の燃料電池。
