Abstract
【解決手段】外科用ハンドピースの孔部に挿入するために形設された本体と、この本体に結合された弾性部材315を備え、かつ孔部で外科用ハンドピースの表面とラッチ式に係合するために形設されたラッチ構造を有するラッチとを備え、弾性部材315が片持ち梁状アームからなり、ラッチがさらに片持ち梁状アームに装着された使用者の操作可能な解除部分325を備え、さらに、外科用器具のハブ320と、前記本体に結合され、かつ本体から遠位端の組織受け取り開口に延びる外側部材と、組織を切り取るために遠位端に外科用ツールを含み、外側部材内に配置され、外側部材に対して回転可能な内側部材と、内側部材と回転させるために内側部材に結合された駆動軸350とを備えた装置。

Description
また、特定のハンドピースとともに使用されるようには構成されていない外科用デバイスをそのハンドピースとともに使用できるようにアダプタが使用されてもよい。例えば、スジャストロム〔Sjostrom〕の米国特許第4,705,038号は、1組の異なる外科用デバイスを作動させる動力式ハンドピースについて記載している。スジャストロムのシステムは、異なるサイズのハブを有する外科用デバイスを1つのハンドピースに接続して使用できるアダプタを具備する。それぞれのアダプタは、ハンドピースと係合するよう構成された第1端と、1つ以上の外科用デバイスと係合するよう構成された第2端とを具備する。
この本体に結合された弾性部材を備え、かつ孔部で外科用ハンドピースの表面とラッチ式に係合するために形設されたラッチ構造を有するラッチと
を備え、弾性部材が片持ち梁状アームからなり、ラッチがさらに片持ち梁状アームに装着された使用者の操作可能な解除部分を備え、さらに、
外科用器具のハブと、
前記本体に結合され、かつ本体から遠位端の組織受け取り開口に延びる外側部材と、
組織を切り取るために遠位端に外科用ツールを含み、外側部材内に配置され、外側部材に対して回転可能な内側部材と、
内側部材と回転させるために内側部材に結合された駆動軸と
を備えた装置が提供される。
1つの観点によれば、本発明は、1つの軸を中心軸とし、外科用ハンドピースの孔部に受け入れられるように形設された本体であって、その本体の少なくとも一部は、本体が孔部に挿入されている間、孔部内で外科用ハンドピースのラッチ面を通過して進めるように形設された傾斜を有する前面と、本体の軸に対し交差して配向され、本体が完全に孔部に挿入されるときラッチ面に係合するよう形設された係合面とを含む本体と、
本体を孔部から引き抜けるように係合面をラッチ面から係合解除するための解除部分と
からなる、上記の外科用器具を提供できる。

他の観点によれば前述したような装置からなり、さらに、本体に接続されて前記本体から遠位端にある組織受け取り開口へ延出する外部部材と、遠位端で組織をカットする外科用ツールを備え、前記外部部材の内部に配置され、前記外部部材に対して回転可能な内部部材と、前記内部部材に接続された前記内部部材を回転するための駆動軸と、外科用ハンドピースとからなる外科用器具もまた提供される。
他の特徴及び利点は、後述する、図面及びクレームを含む好ましい実施態様の記載により明らかになるであろう。
図1及び図2において、再使用できる動力付の外科用ハンドピース100(図1)は、多種類の使い捨て可能な、または再使用可能な外科用器具を操作するよう構成されている。このハンドピースは概ね円筒状で涙滴形状〔teardrop-shaped 〕の断面を有し、アルミニウムのような非磁性材料から作られるハウジング105を備える。ハンドピースはその遠位端に外科用器具を取り付けるための円筒状孔部110を有する。孔部110の内部には、ハンド・ ピース100の内部に位置するモータ120に係合する駆動軸115が配設されている。ハンドピースはモータ120の制御中に使用する信号を生成する押しボタンスイッチ125,130及び135を備える。
ハンドピース100は、そのハンドピース,コンソール205,外科用器具300(または1組の外科用器具)及びフットコントロールアッセンブリ210を備えた外科用システム200において使用される。コンソール205の内部に位置するプロセッサ215は、ハンドピース100のモータ120の作動速度及び方向を制御する。結果としてこれが外科用器具300の動作の速度及び方向を制御する。例えば、ハンドピース100の長手軸140周りに回転する駆動部305(例えば、カッティングブレードまたは研磨バー〔abrading burr・〕)を外科用器具300が備えるとき、プロセッサ215は駆動部305の回転方向及び速度を制御する。
回路基板505はさらに、溝部185の内部に回路基板505を挿入する際の補助となる延出部540を具備する。
ハブは、磁石362が埋め込まれており、1対の半径方向に延びるチャンバ360(図7B)を具備する。上述したように、磁石365はホール効果素子535と作用し合って外科用器具300の器具の型を特定する。それぞれのチャンバ360はプラスチックキャップ364によりカバーされている。磁石を埋め込む技術は、「埋め込みコード要素を有する外科用器具」と題して1995年10月2日に出願された出願第08/538,298号に記載されているが、これは参照によってここに組み込まれるものとする。
タブ1005は、ハブ1010の遠位端に配置されたばね付勢プレート1020の近位側に取り付けられている。タブ1000及び1005は、ハブ1010の円周周りに170°程度の円弧を形成するように配置されている。装着時において、ハブ1010は、スロット605にタブ1000が合ってハンド・・ピースの孔部110の内部に挿入される。ハブは、スロット605によって形成されたフランジ610のギャップをタブ1000が通過するまで挿入される。
後述する請求項に含まれる他の実施態様がある。
Claims (15)
- 外科用ハンドピースの孔部(110)に挿入するために形設された本体と、
この本体に結合された弾性部材(315)を備え、かつ孔部(110)で外科用ハンドピース(100)の表面とラッチ式に係合するために形設されたラッチ構造(330)を有するラッチ(319)と
を備え、弾性部材(315)が片持ち梁状アーム(315)からなり、ラッチ(319)がさらに片持ち梁状アーム(315)に装着された使用者の操作可能な解除部分(325)を備え、さらに、
外科用器具のハブ(320)と、
前記本体に結合され、かつ本体から遠位端の組織受け取り開口に延びる外側部材(370)と、
組織を切り取るために遠位端に外科用ツールを含み、外側部材(370)内に配置され、外側部材に対して回転可能な内側部材(375)と、
内側部材(375)と回転させるために内側部材(375)に結合された駆動軸(350)と
を備えた装置。 - 片持ち梁状アーム(315)が、ハンドピースの孔部(110)への挿入中に半径方向にたわみ、かつ半径方向のたわみから戻り、ラッチ構造(330)が孔部(110)で外科用ハンドピース(100)の表面(620)とラッチ式に係合することを許容するように形設された請求の範囲第1項の装置。
- 弾性部材(315)が、解除部分(325)への圧力に応答して半径方向にたわみ、孔部内で外科用ハンドピース(100)の表面(620)からラッチ構造(330)を外せるように形設された請求の範囲第1項の装置。
- ラッチ構造(330)が、解除部分に隣接して配設された請求の範囲第1項の装置。
- ラッチ構造(330)が、本体の長手方向の軸に沿って解除部分(325)から間隔をもって配置された請求の範囲第1項の装置。
- 本体が、孔部(110)へ挿入するための近位端を含み、ラッチ構造(330)が、本体の近位端から本体の遠位端の方向に傾斜する前縁と、
本体の長手方向の軸に交差するように配向されたラッチ表面(340)とを含む請求の範囲第1項の装置。 - ラッチ表面(340)が、ラッチ構造(330)の遠位端に後縁を備え、この後縁が本体から半径方向に本体の遠位端の向きに角度付けされた請求の範囲第6項の装置。
- 本体が、その外面から半径方向に延び、ハンドピースの開口(625)に係合するよう配置されたタブ(345)を更に備えた請求の範囲第1項の装置。
- タブ(345)が、解除部分(325)の遠位に配置された請求の範囲第8項の装置。
- 本体が、射出成形された一片の合成樹脂から形成された請求の範囲第1項の装置。
- 片持ち梁状アーム(315)を有し、そのアーム(315)が本体の外面の近位に近接して延びるように本体に固定されたリング構造(342)を更に備えた請求の範囲第10項の装置。
- リング構造(342)が、スナップ嵌めによって本体の遠位端に連結される請求の範囲第11項の装置。
- 本体が、外科用ハンドピース(100)の孔部に装置が挿入されると感知される磁石(405)を持つ請求の範囲第1項の装置。
- 本体が、外科器具のハブをハンドピース(100)に連結するアダプタからなり、このアダプタが、孔部(110)に挿入するための近位端と、外科器具のハブに装着するために形設された遠位端とを有する請求の範囲第1項の装置。
- 1つの軸を中心軸とし、外科用ハンドピース(100)の孔部(110)に受け入れられるように形設された本体であって、その本体の少なくとも一部は、本体が孔部に挿入されている間、孔部(110)内で外科用ハンドピースのラッチ面(670)を通過して進めるように形設された傾斜を有する前面(335)と、本体の軸に対し交差して配向され、本体が完全に孔部に挿入されるときラッチ面(610)に係合するよう形設された係合面(340)とを含む本体と、
本体を孔部から引き抜けるように係合面(340)をラッチ面(610)から係合解除するための解除部分(325)と
からなる、少なくとも請求項1に記載の外科用器具。
