被験者10名(男性5名、女性5名)が、歯ブラシに歯磨き組成物1gをとり、約2分間自由にブラッシングし、比較例1の歯磨き組成物を基準として、冷涼感を次の基準で評価した。

表1に示したように、実施例1〜3の歯磨き組成物では、粒子径が45μm未満のエリスリトールを多く含んでいるため、冷涼感の即効性に優れるという結果だった。さらに、実施例2及び3の歯磨き組成物では、粒子径が45μm未満のエリスリトールをより多く含有しているため、冷涼感の即効性にさらに優れるという結果だった。また、水分を15〜30質量%及び粘結剤を0.6〜3質量%含むため長期の保存安定性にも優れていた。   As shown in Table 1, the toothpaste compositions of Examples 1 to 3 contained a large amount of erythritol having a particle size of less than 45 μm, and thus were excellent in immediate effect of cooling feeling. 一方、比較例1の歯磨き組成物では、粒子径が45μm以上355μm未満のエリスリトールを多く含んでいるが、粒子径が45μm未満のエリスリトールをあまり含まないため、冷涼感の即効性は、実施例1〜3に比べて劣るという結果だった。また、比較例3の歯磨き組成物では、粒子径が355μm以上1000μm未満のエリスリトールを多く含んでいるが、粒子径が355μm未満のエリスリトールをあまり含まないため、冷涼感を感じないという結果だった。さらに、比較例2及び3の歯磨き組成物では、水分量が少なく、また粘結剤の含有量も少ないため保存安定性が悪いという結果だった。   On the other hand, the toothpaste composition of Comparative Example 1 contains a large amount of erythritol having a particle size of 45 μm or more and less than 355 μm, but does not contain much erythritol having a particle size of less than 45 μm.
