(2) Evaluation of tooth model dirt removal power A commercially available video tape with the magnetic powder side facing up is fixed to a brush friction and wear tester (HEIDON-14) with a plastic plate. Using a round cut toothbrush with a normal bristle hardness and a flocking length of 2 cm, each toothbrushing composition shown in Table 1 was squeezed to the entire toothbrush, and the load was 300 g, the brushing distance was 3 cm, and the speed was 120 rpm. The magnetic powder surface was stroked 250 times. In addition, the toothbrush was added to the toothbrush again every 50 strokes, and the same test was done. Thereafter, the model dirt removal rate was calculated from the following formula, and the model dirt removal power was evaluated according to the following criteria.

(3)歯に対する為害性の評価
表1に示す歯磨き組成物のRDA値を、RDA試験方法に準じて測定し、歯に対する為害性を次の基準で評価した。

表1に示したように、実施例1〜4の歯磨き組成物では、粒子径が355μm未満のエリスリトールを多く含み、さらに、研磨性の異なる粉体を含んでいるため、清涼感、歯の清掃効果に優れるという結果だった。さらに、実施例2〜4の歯磨き組成物では、粒子径が355μm未満のエリスリトールをより多く含んでいるため、清涼感がさらに優れるという結果だった。また、いずれの歯磨き組成物も室温3ヶ月保存安定性試験において液体の分離が認められなかった。 As shown in Table 1, the toothpaste compositions of Examples 1 to 4 contain a large amount of erythritol having a particle size of less than 355 μm, and further contain powders having different abrasive properties. 一方、比較例1の歯磨き組成物では、粒子径が355μm未満のエリスリトールの含有量が少ないため、清涼感が弱いという結果だった。また、比較例2の歯磨き組成物では、研磨性の高い粉体のみを含んでいるため、歯に対する為害性が悪く、歯の清掃効果は不十分という結果であり、また、比較例3の歯磨き組成物では、研磨性の低い粉体のみを含んでいるため、歯のモデル汚れ除去力が低く、歯の清掃効果は不十分という結果だった。また、比較例4の歯磨き組成物では、粒子径が355μm以上のエリスリトールを多量含んでいるため、清涼感、冷涼感は弱く、さらには、研磨性粉体の含有量が少ないため、歯のモデル汚れ除去力が低く、歯の清掃効果は不十分という結果だった。
