Abstract
【解決手段】LEDアレイを駆動させるバックライト用LED駆動回路は、直流電圧Vin端と接地との間に連結されスイッチングパルスに応じて直流電圧をスイッチングするスイッチSW4と、直流電圧端とスイッチとの接続ノードと、アレイの一端T11の間に連結されスイッチング動作時の駆動電流を整流する整流ダイオードD4と、一端T21が整流ダイオードのカソードに、他端が接地に接続された平滑キャパシタC4と、接地に連結されたアレイの他端T12と上記平滑キャパシタの他端T22との間に連結され接地に流れる電流に応じ検出する電圧検出用抵抗Rdと、予め設定された内部基準電圧Vrefと電圧検出用抵抗Rdによって検出された検出電圧Vdに応じて決定されるデューティ比を有するスイッチングパルスでスイッチのオン/オフを制御するPWM制御部とを含む。

Claims (6)
- 複数のLEDが直列に連結されたLEDアレイを駆動させるバックライト用 LED駆動回路において、
直流電圧端と接地との間に連結され、スイッチングパルスに応じて前記直流電圧をスイッチングするスイッチと
前記直流電圧端と前記スイッチとの接続ノードと、前記LEDアレイの一端の間に連結され、前記スイッチのスイッチング動作により供給される駆動電流を整流する整流ダイオードと、
前記整流ダイオードのカソードに一端が接続され、接地側に他端が接続された平滑キャパシタと、
前記接地側に連結された前記LEDアレイの他端と前記平滑キャパシタの他端との間に連結され、前記接地側に流れる電流を電圧として検出する電圧検出用抵抗と、
予め設定された内部基準電圧と前記電圧検出用抵抗によって検出された検出電圧に応じて決定されるデューティ比を有する前記スイッチングパルスで前記スイッチのオン/オフを制御するPWM制御部と、
を含むバックライト用LED駆動回路。 - 前記スイッチは、直流電圧端に連結されたドレインと、前記接地側に連結されたソースと、前記スイッチングパルスの供給を受けるゲートを有するMOSトランジスタで構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライト用LED駆動回路。
- 前記PWM制御部は、前記予め設定された内部基準電圧と前記電圧検出用抵抗によって検出された検出電圧を比較する比較部と、
前記比較部の比較結果に応じてデューティ比を決定し、この決定されたデューティ比を有する前記スイッチングパルスを前記MOSトランジスタのゲートに供給する制御部と、 を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックライト用LED駆動回路。 - 前記電圧検出用抵抗は、前記平滑キャパシタの他端に連結された接続端が前記PWM制御部の検出端に連結され、前記MOSトランジスタを介して前記接地側に流れる電流を検出するように成されたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックライト用LED駆動回路。
- 前記電圧検出用抵抗は、前記平滑キャパシタの他端に連結された接続端が前記PWM制御部の検出端に連結され、前記平滑キャパシタを介して前記接地側に流れる電流を検出するように成されたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックライト用LED駆動回路。
- 前記電圧検出用抵抗は、前記平滑キャパシタの他端に連結された接続端が前記PWM制御部の検出端に連結され、前記MOSトランジスタのオン時に前記MOSトランジスタを介して前記接地側に流れる電流を検出し、前記MOSトランジスタのオフ時に前記平滑キャパシタを介して前記接地側に流れる電流を検出するように成されたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバックライト用LED駆動回路。
