Claims (16)
- 第一押出機(1)と搬送方向(17)におけるその下流側に配置される第二押出機(2)において、マルチモーダルまたはバイモーダルのポリオレフィンを溶融し均質化する方法であって、第一押出機(1)は、数個の回転駆動可能な第一スクリューシャフト(14,15)を有する多軸押出機であって、
第二押出機(2)が数個の回転駆動可能な第二スクリューシャフト(29,30)を有する多軸押出機であることと、
第一スクリューシャフト(14,15)の外径(Da)が第二スクリューシャフト(29,30)の外径(da)より小さいことと、
第一スクリューシャフト(14,15)が第二スクリューシャフト(29,30)よりも高回転速度で駆動すること及び、
第一押出機(1)におけるせん断速度が第二押出機(2)におけるせん断速度よりも高くなること
を特徴とする方法。 - 第一押出機(1)におけるせん断速度が、第二押出機(2)におけるせん断速度の少なくとも2倍、好ましくは4〜5倍、特に好ましくは6〜10倍の大きさであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第二スクリューシャフト(29,30)の回転速度が調整可能であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 第一スクリューシャフト(14,15)が200〜1200毎分、好ましくは300〜900毎分、特に好ましくは400〜600毎分の回転速度で駆動されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第二スクリューシャフト(29,30)が、50〜250毎分、好ましくは60〜190毎分、特に好ましくは70〜150毎分の回転速度で駆動されることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第一スクリューシャフト(14、15)の外径(Da)の第二スクリューシャフト(29,30)の外径(da)に対する比が、0.3≦Da/da≦0.8、好ましくは0.5≦Da/da≦0.8に適合することを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第一スクリューシャフト(14,15)の外径(Da)の内径(Di)に対する比が、1.4≦Da/Di≦2.1に適合することを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第二スクリューシャフト(29,30)の外径(da)の内径(di)に対する比が、1.4≦da/di≦2.1に適合することを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第一スクリューシャフト(14,15)の回転速度が一定であることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 二軸押出機が、第一押出機(1)及び/又は第二押出機(2)として用いられることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ポリオレフィンが、粉末の形で第一押出機(1)に供給されることを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第一スクリューシャフト(14,15)及び/又は第二スクリューシャフト(29,30)が同方向に回転駆動されることを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 近接かみ合いスクリューシャフトが、第一スクリューシャフト(14,15)及び/又は第二スクリューシャフト(29,30)として用いられることを特徴とする請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 溶融されたポリオレフィンが、第一押出機(1)から第二押出機(2)まで実質的に圧力無しで供給されることを特徴とする1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 溶融されたポリオレフィンが、第二押出機(2)に入る前に濾されあるいはふるいにかけられることを特徴とする請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 第二押出機(2)の放出区間及び/又は第二押出機(2)の下流側において、圧力が増大することを特徴とする請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
