Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の可変動弁装置は、伝達アーム35の揺動支点S1にバルブリフト中に生じる最大荷重の制御シャフト11に対する方向と、制御シャフト11を高バルブリフト側から低バルブリフト側へ可変させる際の回転方向とを同じ方向に設定した。これにより、制御シャフト11を高バルブリフト量側から低バルブリフト側へ変化する方向には回動しやすくした。

以下、本発明を図1〜図13に示す一実施形態にもとづいて説明する。
Claims (3)
- 内燃機関に回転自在に設けられたカムシャフトと、
前記カムシャフトに形成されたカムと、
前記内燃機関に揺動自在に設けられ、吸気バルブ又は排気バルブを駆動するカム面を有する揺動カムと、
前記揺動カムと前記カムとの間に介在され、前記カムの変位を前記揺動カムに伝達する伝達アームと、
前記内燃機関に回動可能に設けられ、前記伝達アームを揺動自在に支持し、かつ回動変位により該伝達アームの前記カムと当接する位置を変更可能とし、該位置変更により前記吸気バルブ又は排気バルブのバルブ特性を制御可能とする制御シャフトとを有してなり、
前記伝達アームの揺動支点にバルブリフト中に生じる最大荷重の前記制御シャフトに対する方向と、前記制御シャフトを高バルブリフト側から低バルブリフト側へ可変させる際の回転方向とを、同じ方向に設定した
ことを特徴とする内燃機関の可変動弁装置。 - 前記伝達アームの揺動支点に前記揺動カムが開弁方向に揺動する際に生じる最大荷重の制御シャフト軸心回りの回転方向と、前記揺動カムが閉弁方向に揺動する際に生じる最大荷重の制御シャフト軸心回りの回転方向と、前記制御シャフトを高バルブリフト側から低バルブリフト側へ可変させる際の回転方向とを、同じ方向に設定した
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の可変動弁装置。 - 前記内燃機関は、複数の気筒を有し、
前記揺動カムおよび前記伝達アームは、前記内燃機関の気筒毎に設けられ、
前記制御シャフトは、少なくとも2つの気筒の前記伝達アームをそれぞれ揺動自在に支持する共通のシャフト部材から構成される
ことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の内燃機関の可変動弁装置。
