Abstract
【解決手段】12CaO・7Al2O3の組成式で表され、負電荷酸素原子を1×1019個/cm3以上含有する結晶質カルシウムアルミネートを85体積%以上含有し、しかも相対密度が55〜85%であることを特徴とする成形体、好ましくは、ハニカム構造、又は固体基材上に膜状に形成されている前記成形体であり、Ca:Alのモル比が0.70:1〜1.40:1である原料粉末を、相対密度が50〜80%になるように成形した後、酸素分圧4×104Pa以上の雰囲気下、1000℃〜1200℃に加熱することを特徴とする前記成形体の製造方法。並びに、前記成形体に、被酸化性物質を1体積%以上の酸素を含む雰囲気中、5〜300℃の条件の下で接触させることを特徴とする酸化反応促進方法。

なお、O―が被酸化性物質と接触、反応することによってC12A7中に負電荷の欠損が生じるが、C12A7表面における被酸化性物質とO―の反応(酸化)の結果、余剰となった電子(e―)がC12A7内部において、O2 ―と下式に示すような電子の授受を行うことによって、補填されると考えられる。

- 12CaO・7Al2O3の組成式で表され、負電荷酸素原子を1×1019個/cm3以上含有する結晶質カルシウムアルミネートを85体積%以上含有し、しかも相対密度が55〜85%であることを特徴とする成形体。
- ハニカム構造であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の成形体。
- 基材上に膜状に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の成形体。
- Ca:Alのモル比が0.70:1〜1.40:1である原料粉末を、相対密度が50〜80%になるように成形した後、酸素分圧4×104Pa以上の雰囲気下、1000℃〜1200℃に加熱することを特徴とする請求項1、請求項2又は請求項3に記載の成形体の製造方法。
- 被酸化性物質を、請求項1、請求項2又は請求項3記載の成形体に、1体積%以上の酸素を含む雰囲気中、5〜300℃の条件の下で接触させることを特徴とする酸化反応促進方法。
