Abstract
【解決手段】複数の走査信号、複数の発光制御信号、及び複数のデータ信号の伝達を受けて映像を表現する画素(110)を含む画素部(100)と、前記データ信号の階調電圧によって前記画素部の輝度を制限する輝度制御部(200)と、前記画素部に前記走査信号及び前記発光制御信号を伝達する走査駆動部(400)と、ビデオデータを利用して前記複数のデータ信号を生成して前記画素部に伝達するデータ駆動部(300)とを含み、前記輝度制御部は、一フレーム区間で前記ビデオデータを合算したフレームデータを生成して前記フレームデータが所定の値以上であれば前記画素部の輝度を制限し、前記フレームデータが所定の値未満であれば前記画素部の輝度を制限しないようにした。

Claims (11)
- 複数の走査信号、複数の発光制御信号、及び複数のデータ信号の伝達を受けて映像を表現する画素を含む画素部と、
前記データ信号の階調電圧によって前記画素部の輝度を制限する輝度制御部と、
前記画素部に前記走査信号及び前記発光制御信号を伝達する走査駆動部と、
ビデオデータを利用して前記複数のデータ信号を生成して前記画素部に伝達するデータ駆動部と、を含み、
前記輝度制御部は、一フレーム区間で前記ビデオデータを合算したフレームデータを生成して前記フレームデータが所定の値以上であれば前記画素部の輝度を制限し、前記フレームデータが所定の値未満であれば前記画素部の輝度を制限しないことを特徴とする発光表示装置。 - 複数の走査信号、複数の発光制御信号、及び複数のデータ信号の伝達を受けて映像を表現する画素を含む画素部と、
前記データ信号の階調電圧によって前記画素部の輝度を制限する輝度制御部と、
前記画素部に前記走査信号及び前記発光制御信号を伝達する走査駆動部と、
ビデオデータを利用して前記複数のデータ信号を生成して前記画素部に伝達するデータ駆動部と、を含み、
前記輝度制御部は一フレーム区間で前記ビデオデータを合算したフレームデータを生成して前記フレームデータの大きさによって前記画素部の輝度が制限される範囲が異なるように設定されることを特徴とする発光表示装置。 - 前記画素部の輝度は、
前記発光制御信号のパルス幅によって調節されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の発光表示装置。 - 前記輝度制御部は、
一フレーム区間にあたるビデオデータを合算して前記フレームデータを生成するデータ合算部と、
前記フレームデータによって前記画素の発光時間に対する発光情報を格納するルックアップテーブルと、
前記発光情報によって前記発光制御信号を制御する輝度制御信号を伝達する輝度制御駆動部と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の発光表示装置。 - 前記走査駆動部は、
前記輝度制御信号の入力を受けて前記発光制御信号を生成することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の発光表示装置。 - 前記走査駆動部は、
前記走査信号を伝達する走査駆動回路と前記発光制御信号を伝達する発光制御駆動回路とに区分されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の発光表示装置。 - 前記画素部を駆動する駆動電源を伝達する電源供給部をさらに具備することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の発光表示装置。
- 前記データ信号の階調電圧による輝度の制限は、前記画素部で表現する画像によって異なるように設定されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の発光表示装置。
- 一フレーム区間に入力されるビデオデータの合算であるフレームデータを把握する段階と、
前記フレームデータの大きさが所定の大きさ以上であれば画素部の輝度を制限し、前記フレームデータの大きさが所定の大きさ未満であれば前記画素部の輝度を制限しない段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする発光表示装置駆動方法。 - 前記フレームデータの大きさによって前記画素部が発光する発光区間が決定する段階をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の発光表示装置駆動方法。
- 前記フレームデータに対応される前記発光区間が格納されているルックアップテーブルを利用して前記画素部が発光する発光時間を決定する段階をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の発光表示装置駆動方法。
