Description
かかる暗部(DA)及びそれによる輝線を除去するためには、光が透明板(38)を通過して液晶パネル(40)に入射するまで互いに混合されるように透明板(38)と液晶パネル(40)との間に一定値以上の間隔(G2)を充分に確保しなければならない。
上記バックライト装置において、上記光案内部は逆プリズム状で底面が上記透明板の底面に付着したことを特徴とする。
散乱パターン(110)は上記LED光源(104)に相応する透明板(106)底面の所定位置に形成され、透明板(106)内側でぶつかる光を散乱させながら反射するよう構成される。各々の散乱パターン(110)は円形で、予め定められた半径(r)を有する。
図5を参照により詳しく見ると、焦点(F)から発生した光(L0)は導光部材(108)の側面の所定入射点(P3)を通して導光部材(108)に進入する。この際、所定入射点(P3)が導光部材(108)側面の略中心に位置し光(L0)が垂直に入射するよう導光部材(108)と焦点(F)が配置されることが好ましい。
散乱パターン(110)の例としては散乱性インクを利用したインク層を挙げられる。上記インク層は透明板(106)の底面(106a)に塗布されると入射する光が反射/通過する際これらを散乱させる。
もちろん、散乱パターンは先述した円形でなく多様な形態で設けられることができる。例えば、長方形、正方形、楕円形で設けられることができる。また、各々のLED光源に対応する散乱領域を相互連結した散乱パターンを設けることもできる。これはLED光源が隣接配置される場合に有利である。

Claims (10)
- 平坦な反射板と、
上記反射板上に設けられたLED光源と、
上記LED光源上側に配置された透明板と、
上記透明板の底面の上記LED光源に対応する位置に各々配置された散乱パターンと、
下側から入射する光を上記透明板内に内部反射可能に案内するように上記散乱パターンの周囲に配置された透明物質の光案内部と
を備える直下型バックライト装置。 - 上記光案内部は、上記透明板と同一な屈折率を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直下型バックライト装置。
- 上記光案内部と上記透明板との境界面は、互いに密着するように面接触することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直下型バックライト装置。
- 上記光案内部は、透明なガラス、アクリル、プラスチック、PMMA(Polymethylmethacrylate)、及びエポキシのうちいずれか一つで構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直下型バックライト装置。
- 上記光案内部は、逆プリズム状で底面が上記透明板の底面に付着されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直下型バックライト装置。
- 上記光案内部は、上記透明板に接着剤により結合されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直下型バックライト装置。
- 上記接着剤は、99%以上の透過率を有することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の直下型バックライト装置。
- 上記散乱パターンは、上記透明板内から入射する光を散乱させながら反射させるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直下型バックライト装置。
- 上記散乱パターンは、上記透明板の下部から入射する光を反射させるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の直下型バックライト装置。
- 上記散乱パターンは、上記透明板の下部から入射する光を散乱させながら透過及び反射させるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の直下型バックライト装置。
