Abstract
【解決手段】 光コネクタ1のプラグ2には、アダプタ4が着脱可能に保持されている。アダプタのアダプタ本体5には、シリコンV溝基板6が搭載され、同基板の上には、押え板7が載せられ、更に、押え板の上には、カバー8が載せられている。同基板の上面中央部には、多数の光ファイバ用V溝6aが一定のピッチで平行に設けられ、同光ファイバ用V溝の左右両側には、一対のガイドピン用V溝6bが設けられている。嵌合に際して、相手側の一対のガイドピン(図示せず)の先端が一対のガイドピン用V溝の中心に挿入されずに、同V溝の斜面の若干外側に突き当たると、同斜面は損傷する。このような支障が生じた場合は、アダプタを新たなアダプタに交換するだけで済み、プラグを新たなプラグに交換する必要がない。

Description
石英等の基板上に光導波路が集積化されたPLC(Planar Lightwave Circuit)が、使用されている。特にDWDM(Dense-Wavelength Division Multiplexing)では、複数のトランシーバから送信された波長の異なる光信号を1本の光ファイバで伝送できるようにするためにPLCの一種であるAWG(Arrayed Waveguide Grating)が、使用されている。

Claims (3)
- 複数の光ファイバの先端面が相手側と当接することにより接続される光コネクタにおいて、
前記光コネクタは、アダプタを有し、
前記アダプタは、前記複数の光ファイバの先端部を整列させる複数の溝が設けられている整列部と、前記相手側に設けられている一対のガイド部材が挿入される一対の被ガイド溝とを有し、
前記アダプタは、前記光コネクタの前記相手側との接続側に着脱可能に保持されていることを特徴とする光コネクタ。 - 前記アダプタは、一対のガイド部を有し、前記各ガイド部は内側ガイド部と前記内側ガイド部に対して弾性変形可能な外側ガイド部とから構成され、前記各外側ガイド部には突起が設けられ、前記光コネクタのプラグには一対の貫通穴が設けられ、前記アダプタが前記プラグに着脱されるとき、前記各突起が前記各貫通穴に対して係合離脱することを特徴とする請求項1記載の光コネクタ。
- 前記各外側ガイド部には操作部が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項2記載の光コネクタ。
