Abstract
【解決手段】ゼリーロール型からなる電極組立体において、2つの電極に形成される電極タップをゼリーロールの外周側に並んで形成して同じ水準を成すようにする。この時、本発明の二次電池の電極組立体は、楕円形状又はトラック形状のゼリーロールに形成され、電極組立体が収容される溝を一方だけに形成したパウチで使用することが望ましく、電極タップは、ベアセルの内側空間で折り曲げられることなく、直線状を維持することが望ましい。
【効果】電極タップによるベアセルの内部での短絡の可能性を低減して、タップに重なる電極板部分に巻取による圧力が集中して電池容量が落ちることを防止し、ベアセル内に無効空間を減らすことができる。

Claims (11)
- 互いに異なる極性の2つの電極と2つの該電極間に位置するセパレータとを含んでなる電極積層体が巻き取られてゼリーロール形態となる電極組立体と、前記電極組立体を収容するケースと、を備える二次電池において、
前記電極組立体の2つの電極を前記ケースの外側に引き出すために形成される電極タップが前記電極組立体から引き出されるレベルと前記ケースから引き出されるレベルとが実質的に等しいことを特徴とする二次電池。 - 前記電極タップは、前記電極組立体の厚さの2/3以上のレベルで前記電極組立体から引き出されることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極組立体は、楕円形状又はトラック形状のゼリーロールに形成され、
前記電極組立体を収容する容器は、溝が形成された下部を板状の上部が覆い、
前記溝周辺のフランジ部分で前記上部と前記下部とを融着して封止されるパウチであることを特徴とする、請求項2記載の二次電池。 - 前記電極組立体は、前記溝に前記タップが上向きに内蔵され、
前記タップは、前記溝の内部から直線状に伸びて封止された状態の前記パウチの上下部の間で外部に引き出されることを特徴とする、請求項3記載の二次電池。 - 前記電極組立体の前記タップが引き出される方の端面と前記溝を成す前記パウチの下部の対応する側壁とは、直接接触して空間を残さないことを特徴とする、請求項3または請求項4記載の二次電池。
- 前記パウチは、アルミニウム金属ホイルの外側にナイロン層、該ホイル層の内側にCPP(Casted Polypropylene)を積層して形成されることを特徴とする、請求項3または請求項4記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極タップは、前記電極組立体の厚さの9/10以上のレベルで前記電極組立体から引き出されて2つの前記電極の外側無脂部に接続されることを特徴とする、請求項1から請求項4までのいずれか1項に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極タップが、前記ケースから引き出されながら、封止のために前記ケースと接触する部分には、前記電極タップと前記ケースとの間に別途の樹脂フィルムが介在することを特徴とする、請求項1記載の二次電池。
- 前記樹脂フィルムは、前記ケースの内側面の材質に比べて金属との接着性に優れた熱接着性物質からなることを特徴とする、請求項8記載の二次電池。
- 前記セパレータは、電解質を兼ねる完全固体型ポリマー又は電解液が含浸されるゲル型ポリマーからなることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極組立体は、角形状プラスチックケースに収容され、
前記タップは、前記ケースとプラスチックキャップの組立体側の一長辺との間から引き出されて形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の二次電池。
