Abstract
【解決手段】互いに異なる極性の2つの電極13、15とこれらの2つの電極間に位置するセパレータ14、14’とを含んでなる電極組立体が外装材内に封止され、各電極にタップ16および17が接合されており、タップ16および17は互いに異なる材質で、かつその厚さが異なるゼリーロール型電極型組立体を有する二次電池。

Claims (10)
- 互いに異なる極性の2つの電極と前記2つの電極の電気的短絡を防止するセパレータとを含んでなるゼリーロール型電極組立体と、
前記電極組立体を収容する外装材と、
前記2つの電極のうち、一方の電極に接合され前記外装材の外に突出した第1タップと、
前記2つの電極のうち、他方の電極に接合され前記外装材の外に突出し、第1タップと異なる材質で、かつ、異なる厚さの第2タップと、
を有することを特徴とする二次電池。 - 前記第1タップと第2タップのうち、引張強度がより強い材質のタップの厚さが、引張強度のより弱い材質のタップの厚さよりも薄いことを特徴とする請求項1記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1タップと第2タップの引張強度の差は、20%以内であることを特徴とする請求項2記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1タップと第2タップのうち前記引張強度がより強い材質のタップの位置が、前記ゼリーロール型電極組立体のロール中心部に位置することを特徴とする請求項2または3記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1タップと第2タップのうち、一方のタップはニッケルまたはニッケル−鉄合金からなり、他方のタップはアルミニウムからなることを特徴とする請求項2〜4のいずれか一つに記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1タップと第2タップは、薄い方のタップの厚さが厚い方のタップの厚さの60%以下であることを特徴とする請求項1記載二次電池。
- 前記第1タップと第2タップは、薄い方のタップの厚さが厚い方のタップの厚さの50%以下であることを特徴とする請求項6記載二次電池。
- 前記第1タップまたは第2タップのいずれか一方のタップは、ニッケルまたはニッケル−鉄合金からなり、他方のタップはアルミニウムからなることを特徴とする請求項1記載の二次電池。
- 前記ニッケルまたはニッケル−鉄合金からなるタップの厚さは、前記アルミニウムからなるタップの厚さの60%以下であることを特徴とする請求項8記載の二次電池。
- 前記ニッケルまたはニッケル−鉄合金よりなるタップは、前記ゼリーロール型電極組立体のロールの中心部に位置することを特徴とする請求項5または9記載の二次電池。
