Abstract
【解決手段】 外部入力端子(5)と、入力されたビデオ信号の方式を識別する識別回路(6)と、その識別結果に応じてビデオ信号の方式を変換する信号変換回路(4a)と、ビデオ信号方式の変換を行うときに、変換可能なビデオ信号方式に関する情報を表示部(7)に表示させる。

Description
図1は、本発明のビデオ信号処理装置の実施形態となるカメラ一体型ビデオレコーダ(デジタルビデオカメラ)の構成例を示すブロック図である。図1において、1はレンズ、2はCCD、3はカメラ処理部、4は信号処理部であり信号変換回路4aを有している。5はビデオ及びオーディオの入出力端子でありD端子、S端子(以上、アナログ信号の入出力用)及びDV端子(デジタル信号の入出力用)を有している。6は識別回路、7は画像を表示可能な表示部である。8はユーザからの各種指示入力に用いる操作部、9はマイクロコンピュータであり、図示しないCPU、RAM及びROM等を有している。10は記録媒体であり、磁気テープ及びメモリカードへの記録再生が可能な構成を備える。なお、磁気テープの代わりに光ディスクを用いて構成しても良い。
図9は、本発明の第2の実施形態であるデジタルビデオカメラの動作手順の例を示すフローチャートである。本実施形態のデジタルビデオカメラの構成は図1をそのまま用いる。
前述した各実施形態では、D端子から入力される信号に対してビデオ信号方式を識別する構成に関して説明したが、S端子やその他の端子から入力される信号に対しても本発明の技術を適用できることはいうまでもない。

Claims (11)
- 外部入力端子と、
前記外部入力端子より入力されたビデオ信号の方式を識別する信号識別手段と、
前記信号識別手段の識別結果に応じて前記ビデオ信号の方式を変換する信号変換手段と、
前記信号変換手段により前記ビデオ信号の変換処理を行うときに、変換可能なビデオ信号の方式に関する情報を表示画面上に表示するように制御する表示制御手段とを備えたことを特徴とするビデオ信号処理装置。 - 前記表示制御手段は、変換可能な複数のビデオ信号方式を選択可能な状態で表示するよう制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオ信号処理装置。
- 前記表示制御手段は、さらに記録先となる記録媒体を選択可能な状態で表示するよう制御することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のビデオ信号処理装置。
- 前記表示制御手段によって表示制御される前記変換可能なビデオ信号の方式に関する情報としては、画質、アスペクト比、有効画素、画面サイズのうち、少なくとも一つを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオ信号処理装置。
- 前記表示制御手段は、記録可能時間及び記録先となる記録媒体の情報のうち少なくとも一つをさらに表示するよう制御することを特徴とする請求項1または4に記載のビデオ信号処理装置。
- 前記表示制御手段は、外部入力端子より入力されたビデオ信号の方式に関する第1の情報と、前記信号変換手段によって変換可能なビデオ信号の方式に関する、前記第1の情報に応じて変化する第2の情報とを表示するよう制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオ信号処理装置。
- 前記表示制御手段は、前記入力されたビデオ信号が認識できない場合には警告表示を前記表示画面上に表示するように制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオ信号処理装置。
- 前記外部入力端子はD端子であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至7の何れか一項に記載のビデオ信号処理装置。
- 外部入力端子より入力された入力ビデオ信号の方式を識別する信号識別工程と、
前記信号識別工程の識別結果に応じて前記ビデオ信号の方式を変換する信号変換工程と、
前記信号変換工程により前記ビデオ信号の変換処理を行うときに、変換可能なビデオ信号の方式に関する情報を表示画面上に表示するように制御する表示制御工程とを有することを特徴とするビデオ信号処理方法。 - 外部入力端子より入力された入力ビデオ信号の方式を識別する信号識別工程と、
前記信号識別工程の識別結果に応じて前記ビデオ信号の方式を変換する信号変換工程と、
前記信号変換工程により前記ビデオ信号の変換処理を行うときに、変換可能なビデオ信号の方式に関する情報を表示画面上に表示するように制御する表示制御工程とを有するビデオ信号処理方法をコンピュータに実行させるコンピュータプログラム。 - 前記請求項10に記載のコンピュータプログラムを記録したコンピュータ読み取り可能な記録媒体。
