Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明のジメチルエーテル製造用触媒は、主成分がアルミナであり、酸化物換算で6A族元素を0.1質量%〜20質量%含有することを特徴とする。通常ナトリウム含有量0.05質量%以下、BET比表面積100m2/g以上、細孔容積0.3cm3/g以上、6A族元素はWまたはMoである。この触媒の存在下にメタノールを脱水反応させることにより、高い反応率でジメチルエーテルを製造できる。

Description
Al2O3・nH2O〔0≦n≦0.5〕 (1)
で示されるものであり、通常はχ、γ、ηなどの結晶相を有する活性アルミナが用いられる。活性アルミナは、χ、γ、η以外の結晶相、例えばκ、δ、ρなどの結晶相を含んでいてもよい。ジメチルエーテル製造用触媒におけるアルミニウム含有量は、触媒の全体を基準として酸化物換算で通常80質量%以上、好ましくは90重量%以上である。
ナトリウム含有量〔酸化物(Na2O)換算〕およびイオウ含有量は、JIS R9301に従って、触媒を基準とした質量百分率(質量%)で求めた。
モリブデンおよびタングステンの含有量は、触媒粉末をリン酸に溶融したのち、ICP発光分析法により、既知の検量線に基づき、触媒を基準とした質量百分率(質量%)で求めた。
細孔容積(cm3/g)は細孔分布測定装置〔カンタクローム社製「オートスキャン33型」〕を用いて水銀圧入法により求めた細孔分布から求めた。
BET比表面積(m2/g)は、比表面積測定装置〔マウンテック社製「Macsorb Model−1201」)を用いて窒素吸着法により求めた。
〔触媒粉末の調製〕
硫酸アルミニウム18水和物(信英蓄電機箔製)200gおよび純水100gを容量500mLのビーカーに入れ、ホットスターラーを用いて100℃にて加熱攪拌しながら溶解させて硫酸アルミニウム水溶液を得た。この水溶液を100℃に保持したまま、タングステン酸アンモニウム5水和物〔(NH4)10W12O41・5H2O(和光純薬製)〕0.68gを添加し溶解させたのち、120℃に昇温し、容積150cm3まで濃縮したのち、室温(約25℃)まで冷却して固化させてアルミナ前駆体を得た。このアルミナ前駆体を0.5cm〜1cm程度の大きさに破砕したのち、100℃で24時間乾燥させ、1000℃で16時間焼成して、触媒を得た。得られた触媒を8mesh〜14mesh程度(約1.18mm〜2.36mm程度)の大きさになるまで乳鉢で破砕して触媒粉末を得た。
上記で得た触媒粉末0.5cm3を固定床反応器に充填し、反応温度200℃、圧力0.1MPa(絶対圧力、1気圧)にて、メタノールを窒素で希釈した原料ガス〔メタノール含有量は500ppm〕を空間速度(SV)54000h-1にて供給しながら反応させて字メチルエーテルを得た。そのときの反応器入口における原料ガスを採取して、そのメタノール濃度IMeOHを、また反応器出口のガスを採取して、そのメタノール濃度OMeOHおよびジメチルエーテル濃度ODMEをそれぞれモル濃度で測定した。これらメタノール濃度(IMeOH、OMeOH)、ジメチルエーテル濃度ODMEから、式(2)〜式(3)

DME合成率(%) =100×(2×ODME)/IMeOH (3)
DME選択率(%) =100×(2×ODME)/(IMeOH−OMeOH) (4)
により、MEOH反応率、DME合成率およびDME選択率を求めた。結果を表1に示す。
〔触媒粉末の調製〕
タングステン酸アンモニウム5水和物に代えて、モリブデン酸アンモニウム4水和物〔(NH4)6Mo7O24・4H2O、日本無機化学工業(株)製〕0.74gを使用した以外は実施例1と同様に操作して触媒粉末を得た。
実施例1で得た触媒粉末に代えて上記で得た触媒粉末を用いた以外は実施例1と同様に操作してジメチルエーテルを得、反応温度200℃および300℃におけるMeOH反応率、DME合成率およびDME選択率をそれぞれ求めた。結果を表1に示す。
〔触媒粉末の調製〕
タングステン酸アンモニウム5水和物を用いなかった以外は実施例1と同様に操作して触媒粉末を得た。
実施例1で得た触媒粉末に代えて上記で得た触媒粉末を用いた以外は実施例1と同様に操作してジメチルエーテルを得、反応温度200℃および300℃におけるMeOH反応率、DME合成率およびDME選択率をそれぞれ求めた。結果を表1に示す。

Claims (6)
- 主成分がアルミナであり、酸化物換算で6A族元素を0.1質量%〜20質量%含有することを特徴とするジメチルエーテル製造用触媒。
- ナトリウム含有量が0.05質量%以下である請求項1に記載のジメチルエーテル製造用触媒。
- BET比表面積が100m2/g以上である請求項1または請求項2に記載のジメチルエーテル製造用触媒。
- 細孔容積が0.3cm3/g以上である請求項1〜請求項3のいずれかに記載のジメチルエーテル製造用触媒。
- 6A族元素がWまたはMoである請求項1〜請求項4のいずれかに記載の触媒。
- 請求項1〜請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の触媒の存在下にメタノールを脱水反応させることを特徴とするジメチルエーテルの製造方法。
