Claims (5)
- 表示装置を介する電気光学的にアクティブな媒体の物理的搬送を用いる電気光学的にアクティブな表示装置であり、少なくとも1つの個々にアドレス指定可能な画素を有し、各画素に遮断素子が設けられる表示装置であって、電気的な構成要素又は機械的な構成要素の1つである少なくとも1つの構成要素の一部が、該一部が前記表示装置の観察者には見えないように前記遮断素子の下に配置されることを特徴とする表示装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの構成要素が、スペーサ、仕切り、ゲート電極、データ電極、蓄積キャパシタ、センサ又は薄膜トランジスタのうちの1つである請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記表示装置が、貯蔵部光シールドを有する貯蔵電気泳動表示装置であり、電極、蓄積キャパシタ、センサ及び薄膜トランジスタのうちの1つ以上が前記貯蔵部光シールドの下に配置される請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記画素が、半透過型動作を可能にするための反射素子を更に有し、それにより、ソース電極などの付加的な構成要素の一部が、該一部が前記表示装置の観察者には見えないように前記反射素子の下に配置される請求項3に記載の表示装置。
- 前記表示装置が、電気泳動ディスプレイ、エレクトロウェッティングディスプレイ又は電気機械的なディスプレイのうちの1つである請求項1乃至2のいずれか一項に記載の表示装置。
