Abstract
Description
USP咽頭に連結した型番160マープル・ミラー・インパクター(Model 160 Marple Miller Impactor(MMI))(ユナイテッド・ステーツ・ファーマコペイア(United States Pharmacopeia)USP24<601>エーロゾル、計量式吸入器、および乾燥粉末吸入器、図4)を用い、体積流量60L/分で粒子收集特性を試験した。エーロゾル発生は、ターボヘラー(Turbohaler)(登録商標)DPI(アストラファーマシューティカルズ(Astra Pharmaceuticals)製)という市販の乾燥粉末送達装置により行った。全試験で、MMIのステージカップには、界面活性剤をコーティーングし、粒子バウンドおよび再連行を防いだ。
図2に示す概略デザインのスペーサを以下の寸法で組み立てた。即ち、入り口ポートの直径が1.0cm、チャンバ内径が4.0cm、チャンバの非先細端部の高さが2.4cm、チャンバの先細端部の高さが4.8cmで先細角度が22.6度、出口ポートの直径が2.0cmでチャンバ内への延長部が2.0cmとした。
図2に示す概略デザインのスペーサを以下の寸法で組み立てた。即ち、入り口ポートの直径が0.75cm、チャンバ内径が3.0cm、チャンバの非先細端部の高さが1.8cm、チャンバの先細端部の高さが3.6cmで先細角度が22.6度、出口ポートの直径が1.5cmでチャンバ内への延長部が1.5cmとした。
図2に示す概略デザインのスペーサを以下の寸法で組み立てた。即ち、入り口ポートの直径が0.5cm、チャンバ内径が2.0cm、チャンバの非先細端部の高さが1.2cm、チャンバの先細端部の高さが2.4cmで先細角度が22.6度、出口ポートの直径が1.0cmでチャンバ内への延長部が1.0cmとした。
図1に示す概略デザインのスペーサを以下の寸法で組み立てた。即ち、入り口ポートの直径が1.02cm、チャンバ内径が5.08cm、チャンバの非先細端部の高さが1.27cm、チャンバの先細端部の高さが1.27cmで先細角度が56.3度、サイクロン本体の底部直径が1.27cm、出口ポートの直径が2.03cmでチャンバ内への延長部が1.78cmとした。
図1に示す概略デザインのスペーサを以下の寸法で組み立てた。即ち、入り口ポートの直径が1.02cm、チャンバ内径が5.08cm、チャンバの非先細端部の高さが1.27cm、チャンバの先細端部の高さが1.27cmで先細角度が56.3度、サイクロン本体の底部直径が1.27cm、出口ポートの直径が2.03cmでチャンバ内への延長部が1.27cmとした。
Claims (18)
- 基部板により閉鎖された基部端、チャンバの前記基部端上で接線方向に位置合わせした入り口、先細先端部、および前記基部板を通って前記チャンバ内に延在し、前記チャンバと連通する出口を有するチャンバ
を含む、薬用吸入器スペーサ。 - 前記チャンバが1つの入り口および1つの出口のみを有する、請求項1に記載のスペーサ。
- 前記チャンバの前記基部端が円筒形である、請求項1に記載のスペーサ。
- 前記チャンバの先端部内又はその隣接部位に粒子收集手段を更に含む、請求項1に記載のスペーサ。
- 前記出口が前記入り口開口部の底部より低いレベルまで前記チャンバ内に延在する、請求項1に記載のスペーサ。
- 前記先細先端部が収束円筒形として形成される、請求項5に記載のスペーサ。
- 前記チャンバの前記基部端が円筒形である、請求項6に記載のスペーサ。
- 前記円筒形の基部端により定められる中心軸が前記出口を通過するように、前記出口が位置決めされる、請求項7に記載のスペーサ。
- 前記入り口から前記チャンバを通って前記出口まで通過する空気流の少なくとも一部が、前記中心軸を中心として回転流を生じるようにされている、請求項8に記載のスペーサ。
- 前記入り口から前記チャンバを通り前記出口まで通過する空気流の少なくとも一部が、前記中心軸を中心として360度を超えて回る回転流を生じるようにされている、請求項9に記載のスペーサ。
- エーロゾル発生システムと、
請求項1に記載の薬用吸入器スペーサと、
マウスピースと
を含む薬用エーロゾル吸入器であって、
前記スペーサの前記入り口が、前記エーロゾル発生システムと流体連通し、前記スペーサの前記出口が、前記マウスピースと流体連通する、薬用エーロゾル吸入器。 - 前記エーロゾル発生システムが加圧エーロゾルキャニスタを含む、請求項11に記載の薬用吸入器。
- 前記エーロゾル発生システムが乾燥粉末発生システムを含む、請求項11に記載の薬用吸入器。
- 前記エーロゾル発生システムが噴霧システムを含む、請求項11に記載の薬用吸入器。
- 薬用エーロゾルを哺乳類の肺に送達する方法であって、請求項11に記載の薬用吸入器を用いてエーロゾル製剤を哺乳類に投与するステップを含む方法。
- 請求項15に記載の薬用エーロゾルを哺乳類の肺に送達する方法であって、肺に送達された前記薬用エーロゾルの前記呼吸可能分画が、前記薬用吸入器スペーサを用いない場合に肺に送達されることになる薬用エーロゾルの呼吸可能分画より多い、方法。
- 基部板により閉鎖された基部端と、前記チャンバの前記基部端上の接線方向に位置合わせした入り口と、収束する円筒形として形成された先細先端部と、前記基部板を通って前記チャンバ内に延在し、前記チャンバと連通する出口と、を有する円筒形チャンバと、
マウスピースと、
