Abstract
Description
従来のソーダ石灰ガラスの板(3mmの厚みを有する。)を得た。二組のガラス板を、二層銀低放射率コーティングで被覆した。第1組のガラス板のコーティングには、本発明の教示に従って、二酸化ケイ素下地層を付与した。ここで、第1組のコーテッドガラスを、サンプルAとする。第2組のガラス板のコーティングは、二酸化ケイ素下地層を省略したこと以外は、サンプルAと同等のものである。ここで、第2組のコーテッドガラスを、サンプルBとする。サンプルAおよびサンプルBの全てのフィルムは、マグネトロンスパッタリングによって堆積した。
前述したように、第1組のガラス板に付与したコーティングは、二酸化ケイ素下地層を備えている。下地層は、約80オングストロームの厚みを有し、基材の主面のうちの一つの上に直接に付与されている。酸化亜鉛の層を、二酸化ケイ素下地層上に直接に付与した。この酸化亜鉛の厚みは、約230オングストロームであった。赤外反射銀層を、この酸化亜鉛層上に直接に付与した。この銀層の厚みは、約80オングストロームであった。そして、ニオブの保護層を、この銀層上に直接に付与した。このニオブ層は、約20オングストロームの厚みで堆積した。このニオブ層上に直接に、約105オングストロームの厚みの酸化亜鉛の層を付与した。そして、この酸化亜鉛層上に直接に、窒化ケイ素層を付与した。窒化ケイ素層は、約140オングストロームの厚みを有するものとした。この窒化ケイ素層上に直接に、約200オングストロームの厚みの酸化亜鉛の層を付与した。そして、この酸化亜鉛層上に直接に、窒化ケイ素層を付与した。この窒化ケイ素層は、約140オングストロームの厚みを有するものとした。この窒化ケイ素層上に直接に、酸化亜鉛を約80オングストロームの厚みで付与した。赤外反射銀層を、この酸化亜鉛上に直接に形成した。この銀層は、約130オングストロームの厚みを有するものとした。ニオブの保護層を、この銀層上に直接に付与した。このニオブ層は、約20オングストロームの厚みで堆積した。このニオブ層上に直接に、酸化亜鉛の層を付与した。この酸化亜鉛層は、約100オングストロームの厚みを有するものとした。そして、窒化ケイ素層を、この酸化亜鉛層上に直接に堆積した。この窒化ケイ素層は、好ましくは約30オングストロームの厚みを有するものとした。そして、窒化チタンの層を、この窒化ケイ素層上に直接に形成した。この窒化チタン層は、約10オングストロームの厚みを有するものとした。この窒化チタン層上に直接に、窒化ケイ素を、約110オングストロームの厚みで付与した。この窒化シリコン層が、フィルム積層体の最外層を形成することとした。
前述したように、第2組のガラス板に付与したコーティングは、二酸化ケイ素下地層を省略したこと以外は、サンプルAのコーティングと同じものとした。
Claims (32)
- 低放射率コーティングを備えた基材であって、前記低放射率コーティングが、前記基材から外側に向かって、
(a)100オングストローム以下の厚みで、前記基材上に直接に形成された二酸化ケイ素を含む第1のフィルム層と、
(b)透明誘電物質を含む第2のフィルム層と、
(c)赤外反射物質を含む第3のフィルム層と、
(d)透明誘電物質を含む第4のフィルム層とを含む基材。 - 前記二酸化ケイ素が、スパッタ膜である請求項1記載の基材。
- 前記第1のフィルム層が、約90オングストローム以下の厚みを有する請求項1記載の基材。
- 前記第1のフィルム層が、約50オングストローム〜約90オングストロームの厚みを有する請求項3記載の基材。
- 前記赤外反射物質が、銀である請求項1記載の基材。
- 前記第2のフィルム層が、約230オングストローム以下の厚みを有する請求項1記載の基材。
- 前記第2のフィルム層が、約200オングストローム以下の厚みを有する請求項6記載の基材。
- 前記第2のフィルム層が、窒化ケイ素を含む請求項1記載の基材。
- 前記第2のフィルム層が、前記第1のフィルム層上に直接に形成されている請求項8記載の基材。
- 前記第2のフィルム層が、酸化亜鉛を含む請求項1記載の基材。
- 前記第3のフィルム層が、前記第2のフィルム層上に直接に形成されており、前記赤外反射物質が、銀である請求項10記載の基材。
- 更に、前記第3のフィルム層と前記第4のフィルム層との間に配置された保護フィルム層を含み、前記保護フィルム層が、前記第3のフィルム層上に直接に形成されている請求項1記載の基材。
- 前記保護フィルム層が、ニオブを含む請求項12記載の基材。
- 前記第4のフィルム層が、酸化亜鉛を含む請求項1記載の基材。
- 前記第4のフィルム層が、窒化ケイ素を含む請求項1記載の基材。
- 更に、
(a)赤外反射物質を含む第5のフィルム層と、
(b)透明誘電物質を含む第6のフィルム層とを含む、請求項1記載の基材。 - 低放射率コーティングを備えた透明基材であって、前記低放射率コーティングは、前記基材から外側に向かって、
(a)100オングストローム以下の厚みを有し、前記基材上に直接に形成された、実質的な非晶質物質である第1のフィルム層と、
(b)透明誘電物質を含む第2のフィルム層と、
(c)赤外反射物質を含む第3のフィルム層と、
(d)透明誘電物質を含む第4のフィルム層とを含む透明基材。 - 前記実質的な非晶質物質は、前記透明基材と実質的に同等の屈折率を有する請求項17記載の透明基材。
- 低放射率コーティングを備えた基材であって、前記低放射率コーティングは、前記基材から外側に向かって、
(a)前記基材上に直接に形成された、二酸化ケイ素を含む第1のフィルム層と、
(b)透明誘電物質を含む第2のフィルム層と、
(c)赤外反射物質を含む第3のフィルム層と、
(d)結晶質物質と実質的な非晶質物質との交互層からなり、少なくとも3つのフィルム層を含む中間フィルム領域と、
(f)赤外反射物質を含む第7のフィルム層と、
(g)透明誘電物質を含む第8のフィルム層とを含む基材。 - 前記中間フィルム領域の各フィルム層が、200オングストローム以下の厚みを有する請求項19記載の基材。
- 前記結晶質物質が酸化物であり、前記実質的な非晶質物質が窒化物である請求項19記載の基材。
- 前記窒化物が、窒化ケイ素である請求項21記載の基材。
- 前記中間フィルム領域が、少なくとも5つのフィルム層を含む請求項19記載の基材。
- 前記中間フィルム領域が、3つの酸化亜鉛フィルム層と、2つの窒化ケイ素フィルム層とを含む請求項23記載の基材。
- 前記第1のフィルム層が、100オングストローム以下の厚みを有する請求項19記載の基材。
- 前記第1のフィルム層が、約50オングストローム〜約90オングストロームの厚みを有する請求項25記載の基材。
- 更に、前記第3のフィルム層の直上に第1のニオブ含有保護層を含み、前記第7のフィルム層の直上に第2のニオブ含有保護層を含む請求項19記載の基材。
- 低放射率コーティングを備えた基材であって、前記低放射率コーティングは、前記基材から外側に向かって、
(a)前記基材上に直接に形成された、二酸化ケイ素を含む第1のフィルム層と、
(b)透明誘電物質を含む第2のフィルム層と、
(c)赤外反射物質を含む第3のフィルム層と、
(d)ニオブ含有フィルム層であり、前記第3のフィルム層上に直接に形成された、第4の保護フィルム層と、
(e)透明誘電物質を含む第5のフィルム層とを含む基材。 - 更に、
(a)赤外反射物質を含む第6のフィルム層と、
(b)ニオブ含有フィルム層であり、前記第6のフィルム層上に直接に形成された、第7の保護層と、
(c)透明導電物質を含む第8のフィルム層とを含む請求項28記載の基材。 - 前記第5のフィルム層が、中間フィルム領域の一部であり、前記中間フィルム領域は、結晶質物質と実質的な非晶質物質との交互層であり、少なくとも3つのフィルム層を含む請求項29記載の基材。
- コーテッド基材の製造方法であって、
(a)100オングストローム以下の厚みを有する実質的な非晶質層を、基材の主面上に直接堆積する工程と、
(b)透明誘電物質を含む第2のフィルム層を、前記実質的な非晶質層の上方に堆積する工程と、
(c)赤外反射物質を含む第3のフィルム層を、前記第2のフィルム層の上方に堆積する工程と、
(d)透明誘電物質を含む第4のフィルム層を、前記第3のフィルム層の上方に堆積する工程とを含む方法。 - 前記実質的な非晶質層が二酸化ケイ素を含み、前記方法が、前記二酸化ケイ素をスパッタ堆積することを含む請求項31記載の方法。
