Claims (23)
- A.チューブ状部材(19a)であって、近位端と、遠位端と、近位端から遠位端まで該部材を貫通して延在する内腔とを有し、第1の領域(32)と第2の領域とを画成し、第1の領域の少なくとも一部は第1の外径(OD1)を有し、第2の領域は第2の外径(OD2)を有し、第1の外径は第2の外径より小さく、第1の領域は第2の領域に隣接し、第1および第2の領域は人の患者の気管に挿入するように構成されているチューブ状部材(19a)と、
B.該チューブ状部材に取り付けられ(24,26)、第1の領域の少なくとも一部上に延在する膨張可能なカフ(20)と、
を備えた医療装置(19)。 - 膨張可能なカフはシリコーンからなることを特徴とする請求項1記載の医療装置。
- カフの硬度はショア硬度(A)でおよそ10であることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の医療装置。
- カフの伸張されていない状態での直径は第1の外径よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項記載の医療装置。
- カフを膨張させた際に、カフの直径が約1.5cmよりも小さいときにカフが圧力プラトーに達することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項記載の医療装置。
- チューブ状部材はシリコーンからなることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項記載の医療装置。
- チューブ状部材はポリ塩化ビニルからなることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項記載の医療装置。
- 第1の領域はテクスチュアを付けた外表面(50)を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項記載の医療装置。
- テクスチュアを付けた表面は1つ以上の螺旋状の溝を有することを特徴とする請求項8記載の医療装置。
- テクスチュアを付けた表面は1つ以上の溝を有することを特徴とする請求項8記載の医療装置。
- 内腔の中心はチューブ状部材の中心からずれていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至10のいずれか一項記載の医療装置。
- 内腔はチューブ状部材内で偏心で配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれか一項記載の医療装置。
- チューブ状部材の壁は膨張用内腔を画成し、該膨張用内腔(30)は膨張可能なカフの内部と流体連通していることを特徴とする請求項1乃至12のいずれか一項記載の医療装置。
- 膨張用内腔から膨張可能なカフの内部に延在する延長チューブ(36)を更に備える請求項13記載の医療装置。
- チューブ状部材の少なくとも一部に沿って延在する螺旋状の補強部材(42)を更に備える請求項1乃至14のいずれか一項記載の医療装置。
- カフは第1の領域の全体にわたって延在することを特徴とする請求項1乃至15のいずれか一項記載の医療装置。
- カフは第1の領域の全体および第2の領域の少なくとも一部にわたって延在することを特徴とする請求項1乃至15のいずれか一項記載の医療装置。
- 医療装置を作成する方法であって、
A.請求項1記載のチューブ状部材を準備することと、
B.ほぼチューブ状の形状をなす弾性素材であって、その周囲は伸張されていない状態でチューブ状部材の第1の領域の周囲よりも小さいような弾性素材を準備することと、
C.弾性素材の周囲が第1の領域の周囲より大きくなるまで弾性素材を伸張することと、
D.チューブ状部材の少なくとも一部を伸張された弾性素材の中に入れることと、
E.弾性素材を部分的にチューブ状部材に対してシールし、弾性素材が少なくとも第1領域の一部を包囲する膨張可能なカフを画成するようになし、その際、該カフの収縮した状態での周囲は伸張されていない弾性素材の周囲よりも大きくなっていること、
からなる医療装置を作成する方法。 - チューブ状部材を準備する工程はチューブ状部材から材料を取り除いて第1の領域を形成することを含むことを特徴とする請求項18記載の方法。
- 第1の領域にテクスチュアを付けた表面を設けることを更に含む請求項18または19記載の方法。
- 第1の領域に1つ以上の螺旋状溝からなるテクスチュアを付けた表面を設けることを更に含む請求項18乃至20のいずれか一項記載の方法。
- 第1の領域に1つ以上の溝からなるテクスチュアを付けた表面を設けることを更に含む請求項18乃至21のいずれか一項記載の方法。
- チューブ状部材に螺旋状補強部材を設けることを更に含む請求項18乃至22のいずれか一項記載の方法。
