Abstract
Description
本発明の第1の特徴は、一次局から二次局へデータパケットを送信する通信チャネルを有する無線通信システムであって、前記二次局はデータパケットを受信する受信手段と、受信したデータパケットの状態を指示する信号を前記一次局へ送信する肯定応答手段とを有する無線通信システムにおいて、前記二次局は、データパケットが当二次局へ送信された指示の検出時にタイマをリセットし、タイマが終了するまでアップリンク送信の特性を変更する手段を具える点にある。
図1において、無線通信システムは、一次局(BS)100と、複数の二次局(MS)110を具える。BS100は、マイクロコントローラ(μC)102と、アンテナ手段106に接続されたトランシーバ手段(Tx/Rx)104と、送信電力レベルを変更する電力制御手段(PC)107と、PSTNや他の適当なネットワークに接続するための接続手段108とを具える。各MS110は、マイクロコントローラ(μC)112と、アンテナ手段116に接続されたトランシーバ手段(Tx/Rx)114と、送信電力レベルを変更する電力制御手段(PC)118とを具える。BS100からMS110への通信はダウンリンクチャネル122で行なわれ、MSからBSへの通信はアップリンクチャネル124で行なわれる。
Claims (19)
- 一次局から二次局へデータパケットを送信する通信チャネルを有する無線通信システムであって、前記二次局はデータパケットを受信する受信手段と、受信したデータパケットの状態を示す信号を前記一次局へ送信する肯定応答手段とを有する無線通信システムにおいて、前記二次局は、データパケットが当二次局へ送信された指示の検出時にタイマをリセットする手段と、該タイマが終了するまでアップリンク送信の特性を変更する手段とを具えることを特徴とする無線通信システム。
- 前記データパケットの送信の指示はデータパケット送信用のチャネルとは別のチャネルで送信することを特徴とする請求項1記載の無線送信システム。
- 一次局から二次局へデータパケットを送信する通信チャネルを有する無線通信システム用の一次局であって、データパケットを前記二次局へ送信する手段と、前記二次局から受信データパケットの状態を示す信号を受信する手段と、前記二次局によるデータパケットの受信の肯定応答の受信時にタイマをリセットする手段と、タイマが終了するまでアップリンク送信の取り扱いを変更する手段とを具えることを特徴とする一次局。
- データパケットを送信できたであろう時にデータパケットが送信されなかった場合に否定応答を受信する手段と、受信した信号が肯定応答か否定応答かを決定するしきい値を設定する手段と、前記しきい値を前記タイマが動作している間は前記タイマが終了した後に使用する値と比較して異なる値に設定する手段とを具えることを特徴とする請求項3記載の一次局。
- 前記タイマの終了後にパケットが二次局へ送信されたら、前記しきい値を否定応答信号より固定応答信号に近づけて設定する手段を具えることを特徴とする請求項4記載の一次局。
- 一次局から二次局へデータパケットを送信する通信チャネルを有する無線通信システム用の二次局であって、一次局からのデータパケットを受信する受信手段と、受信したデータパケットの状態を示す信号を前記一次局へ送信する肯定応答手段とを有する二次局において、データパケットが当二次局へ送信された指示の検出時にタイマをリセットし、タイマが終了するまでアップリンク送信の特性を変更する手段を具えることを特徴とする二次局。
- 誤り訂正情報を含むデータパケットの送信の後続の指示が正しく受信されるまで、前記タイマのリセットを遅らせる手段を具えることを特徴とする請求項6記載の二次局。
- データパケットを送信できる時にデータパケットの送信が検出されない場合に否定応答を送信する手段を具え、この否定応答は前記タイマが終了するまで送信されるのみであることを特徴とする請求項6または7記載の二次局。
- 前記タイマの終了後に受信した第1パケットの肯定応答を前記タイマが動作している間の後続のパケットの肯定応答より高い電力で送信する手段を具えることを特徴とする請求項7または8記載の二次局。
- 肯定及び否定応答をほぼ同一の電力で送信する手段を具えることを特徴とする請求項7〜9の何れかに記載の二次局。
- データパケットの送信の指示が検出されない場合には否定応答を第1の低電力で送信し、データパケットの送信の指示は受信されたがデータパケットは受信されない場合には否定応答を第2の高電力で送信する手段を具えることを特徴とする請求項7〜9の何れかに記載の二次局。
- データパケットが送信された指示に応答して他のタイマをリセットする手段と、前記タイマが終了するまで肯定応答を繰り返す手段と、前記他のタイマが終了するまで否定応答を繰り返す手段とを具えることを特徴とする請求項6記載の二次局。
- 前記他のタイマの持続時間は前記タイマの持続時間より大きいことを特徴とする請求項12記載の二次局。
- 使用可能な信号タイプは直前に受信されたパケットより前に受信されたパケットの再送信要求を表す回帰信号を含むことを特徴とする請求項8〜13の何れかに記載の二次局。
- 前記タイマが動作している間、前記一次局へのチャネル品質情報の送信に関するパラメータを変更する手段を具えることを特徴とする請求項6〜14の何れかに記載の二次局。
- 前記パラメータは、チャネル品質情報を一次局へ送信する速度、一次局へ送信するチャネル品質情報のフォーマット、及びチャネル品質情報を一次局へ送信する電力のうちの1つ以上であることを特徴とする請求項15記載の二次局。
- 否定応答の送信に関する前記タイマ及びチャネル品質情報の送信に関する前記タイマは同一であることを特徴とする請求項15または16記載の二次局。
- 複数の一次局とほぼ同時に通信する手段と、前記一次局の各々からの電力制御コマンドを受信する手段と、前記一次局の任意の1つからのデータパケットを受信する手段とを具える請求項6〜17の何れかに記載の二次局において、アップリンク送信の電力を、前記タイマが動作している間はパケットを送信する一次局から受信した電力制御コマンドに依存して設定し、前記タイマが終了したときはすべての一次局から受信した電力制御コマンドに依存して設定する手段を具えることを特徴とする二次局。
- 一次局から二次局へデータパケットを送信する通信チャネルを有する無線通信システムであって、前記二次局はデータパケットを受信し、受信したデータパケットの状態を示す肯定応答信号を前記一次局へ送信する無線通信システムを動作させる方法において、前記二次局は、データパケットが当二次局へ送信された指示の検出時にタイマをリセットし、タイマが終了するまでアップリンク送信の特性を変更することを特徴とする無線通信システム動作方法。
