Description
高温域で使用するために設計される要素、例えばガスタービンの羽根または翼板は一般に耐久性のある被覆物で被覆されている。この被覆物は、熱い環境での熱負荷のための腐食および酸化に対してそのベース材料を保護しそして大抵はAlおよびCrという元素を使用する合金で構成されている。殆どのタービン要素は酸化および/または腐食に対して保護するために例えばMCrAlY被覆(ベース被覆)で被覆されておりそしてその幾つかは断熱のために耐熱バリヤー被覆(TBC)で被覆されていてもよい。MCrAlY保護オーバレーイ被覆は従来技術において広く知られている。これらは、Mが鉄、ニッケルおよびコバルトの一つまたは組合せから選択される高温被覆物の仲間である。例えば米国特許第3,528,861号明細書(A)または同第4,585,481号明細書(A)にはかゝる種類の耐酸化性被覆物が開示されている。米国特許第4,152,223号明細書(A)には同様にかゝる被覆方法および被覆物自体が開示されている。γ/β−MCrAlY被覆の他に、γ/γ’−一次組織をベースとする他の種類のオーバレーイMCrAlY被覆物がある。γ/γ’−被覆物の長所は、下側になるタービン物品の合金と釣り合わない取るに足らない熱膨張性しか有していないことである。比較的に高い耐熱疲労性のために、γ/γ’−被覆物はγ/β−タイプのMCrAlY被覆物に比較してより使い易い。被覆物における比較的に高い耐熱疲労性が、高温での殆どのタービンの羽根および翼板の損傷は一般に熱疲労運転に起因するので最も望ましい、。
発明の詳細な説明:
本発明は、ガスタービンの羽根または翼板または他の高温に曝される部分の様な物品(4)の表面(5)にγ/β−微細結晶組織を有するMCrAlY−被覆物(6)をエピタキシャル成長させる方法に関する。物品(4)は単結晶(SX)組織を有しておりそして例えばニッケルベースの超合金で造ることができる。ニッケルベース超合金は従来技術において、例えば米国特許(A)第5,888,451号明細書、同第5,759,301号明細書または同第4,643,782号明細書から公知であり、このものは“CMSX−4”として知られている。一般に図1はレーザービーム(3)によって走査することによる制御レーザー加熱によって形成される溶融プール(2)の上に粉末用ジェット(1)でMCrAlY被覆材料の粒子を衝突させ(impinging)、引き続いて単結晶物品(4)の表面(5)を覆うことを特徴とするレーザー被覆粉末法を示している。矢印(7)は物品(4)の上の移動方向を示している。
