Abstract

Claims (10)
- 中空物品(30)上にアルミナイド皮膜(56、60)を形成する方法であって、
中空内部(42)と前記中空内部(42)へのアクセス開口とを有する物品(30)を準備する段階と、
前記アクセス開口を通して前記中空内部(42)にアルミナイド被覆用テープ(62)を配置する段階と、
前記アルミナイド被覆用テープ(62)とは別の外部アルミニウム蒸気供給源を用いて前記中空物品(30)を気相アルミナイド処理する段階と、
を含む方法。 - 前記準備する段階が、既に実用使用した物品(30)を準備する段階を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記準備する段階が、ニッケル基超合金を含む物品(30)を準備する段階を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記準備する段階が、コバルト基超合金を含む物品(30)を準備する段階を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記準備する段階が、少なくともその一部分が中空になった翼形部セクション(34)を有する物品(30)を準備する段階を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記準備する段階が、ブレード先端(36)から翼形部セクション(34)の一部分内に延びる中空内部(42)を有するガスタービンブレードのような物品(30)を準備する段階を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記配置する段階が、アルミニウム含有合金粉末及び結合剤を含むアルミナイド被覆用テープ(62)を準備する段階を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記気相アルミナイド処理する段階が、前記中空内部(42)にアルミナイド被覆用テープ(62)を有する前記中空物品(30)をアルミニウム蒸気を含む雰囲気内で少なくとも約1024°C(1875°F)の温度に加熱する段階を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記気相アルミナイド処理する段階が、前記中空内部(42)にアルミナイド被覆用テープ(62)を有する前記中空物品(30)をアルミニウム蒸気を含む雰囲気内で約1080°C+/−14°C(1975°F+/−25°F)の温度に加熱する段階を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記気相アルミナイド処理する段階が、
前記中空内部(42)にアルミナイド被覆用テープ(62)を有する前記中空物品(30)をアルミナイド処理コンテナ(72)の内部に配置する段階と、
前記アルミナイド処理コンテナ(72)の内部と連通した状態でアルミニウム含有合金を配置する段階と、
前記中空内部(42)にアルミナイド被覆用テープ(62)を有する前記中空物品(30)と前記アルミニウム含有合金とを少なくとも約1024°C(1875°F)に加熱する段階と、
を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
