Abstract
【解決手段】透過性光スイッチは、ボーリング方式で選択した情報を抽出し、抽出した情報を電気ドメインで分析することによって入手したビット・レベルの情報を使用するネットワーク管理およびパフォーマンス監視を含む。一実施形態では、逆多重化デバイスを介してスイッチのスイッチ・ファブリックに信号が注入される。注入した信号は、N:1スイッチを介してスイッチング・ファブリックの出力で抽出され、入力から出力への接続を検証するために信号分析器によって分析される。他の実施形態の光スイッチは、1:2の同報通信機能のための第1および第2のスイッチ・ファブリックを含む。さらに他の実施形態の光学通信システムは、複数の光学ネットワークと複数の光スイッチとを含み、これらが協力して未装備信号を生成し、自動トポロジ発見に必要なスイッチ間ポート接続情報を自律的に入手する。

Claims (7)
- 複数の入力および出力ポートを有する第1の光スイッチと、
前記第1の光スイッチに結合された第1の光ネットワークであって、前記第1の光ネットワークから前記第1の光スイッチへ移動する信号の第1の終端点に対応する第1のトランスポンダと、第2の終端点に対応する第2のトランスポンダとを含む、第1の光ネットワークと、
前記第1の光ネットワークに結合された第2の光ネットワークであって、第1の終端点に対応する第1のトランスポンダと、第2の終端点に対応する第2のトランスポンダとを含む、第2の光ネットワークと、
前記第2の光ネットワークに結合された第2の光スイッチとを含み、
前記第1の光ネットワーク内の少なくとも前記第1のトランスポンダが、前記第1の光ネットワーク内に未装備信号を挿入することができる、光通信システム。 - 前記第1のスイッチが、前記第1の光ネットワーク内の前記第1のトランスポンダによって注入された未装備信号をループバックすることができる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の光ネットワーク内の前記第1のトランスポンダが、前記第1の光スイッチに向かう方向に未装備信号を注入する、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1のスイッチの第1の入力ポートと、前記第1の光ネットワーク内の前記第1の終端点と、前記第2の光ネットワーク内の前記第1の終端点と、前記第2のスイッチの第1の入力ポートとが、前記第1のスイッチと前記第2のスイッチとの間の接続を定義する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1のスイッチの第1の出力ポートと、前記第1の光ネットワークの前記第2の終端点と、前記第2の光ネットワークの前記第2の終端点と、前記第2のスイッチの第1の入力ポートが、前記第1のスイッチと前記第2のスイッチとの間のもう1つの接続を定義する、請求項4に記載のシステム。
- 光スイッチ内で未装備信号を生成する方法であって、
第1の光スイッチの入力ポートに結合された第1のWDMシステム内の第1のWDMポートにより、未装備信号およびポートID情報と未装備状況表示とを未装備信号のオーバヘッド・バイト内に挿入するステップと、
接続された前記第1のスイッチ内の前記入力ポートに前記第1の光スイッチ内の出力ポートを接続するステップと、
前記第1の光スイッチの前記出力ポートに結合された前記第1のWDMシステム内の第2のWDMポートにおいて、前記挿入されたポートID情報を読み取るステップと、
前記第2のWDMポートによって読み取られた前記ポートIDが前記第1のWDMシステムの前記第1のWDMポートのポートIDと一致するかどうかを決定するステップと、
前記読み取られたポートIDが一致した場合に、前記第1のWDMシステム内の前記第1のWDMポートにおいて前記未装備信号の挿入を続行するステップと、
前記読み取られたポートIDが一致しない場合に、前記未装備信号の挿入を停止するステップとを含む方法。 - 前記第1の光スイッチの前記出力ポートと、前記第1のWDMシステムの前記第2のポートと、第2のWDMシステムとを通る信号経路を介して、第2の光スイッチの出力ポートにおいて前記未装備信号を受信するステップをさらに含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
