Abstract

　本発明は、伝送されてきた光パケットをその光パケットの宛先に向けて方路を切り換えて送り出す光パケットスイッチング装置に関し、異常の検出が容易な監視手段を備える。複数の光スイッチを有し、伝送されてきた光パケットの方路をスイッチ制御信号に応じて切り替えて該光パケットを出力する光スイッチ部と、伝送されてきた光パケットの宛先を表わすヘッダ部を取り出して光電変換し宛先に応じたスイッチ制御信号を生成して光スイッチ部に伝送し、複数の光スイッチのオン、オフを制御するコントロール部と、伝送されてきた光パケットの光量レベルと送り出される光パケットの光量レベルをモニタする光モニタ部と、スイッチ制御信号に基づいて光量レベルの有効なモニタリングのタイミングを認識し、そのタイミングにおける光量レベルに基づいた異常を認識する異常認識部とを備えた。
