Abstract
【解決手段】 (1) 触媒の存在下、ガス中に含まれるアンモニアを分解除去するガスの精製方法において、前記触媒として水酸化鉄(例えば、α−オキシ水酸化鉄や、γ−オキシ水酸化鉄あるいは無定型水酸化鉄)を含有する物質を用いることを特徴とするガスの精製方法、(2) 前記ガスの精製方法において水酸化鉄を含有する物質として褐鉄鉱を用いるもの。

市販の水酸化鉄(試薬:アルドリッチ製)0.4gを石英製反応管(内径:8mm,長さ:40cm)に充填し、水素流通下、500 ℃で2時間予備還元を行った後、ヘリウム流通下、15℃/minの昇温速度で750 ℃まで加熱した。その後、アンモニアを2000ppm 含むヘリウムガスを空間速度45,000 h-1で流通させ、ガスクロマトグラフィーとガスモニターを用いて出口ガス中のアンモニアの濃度を測定した結果、アンモニアの分解率は100 %であった。
豪州産褐鉄鉱-Aを0.25mm以下に粉砕し、これを前記実施例1での市販の水酸化鉄に代えて用いた。この点を除き、実施例1の場合と同様の処理および反応を行った。この結果、アンモニアの分解率は100 %であった。

市販の酸化鉄(試薬:レアメタリック製)を前記実施例1での市販の水酸化鉄に代えて用いた。この点を除き、実施例1の場合と同様の処理および反応を行った。この結果、アンモニアの分解率は15%であった。
Claims (2)
- 触媒の存在下、ガス中に含まれるアンモニアを分解除去するガスの精製方法において、前記触媒として水酸化鉄を含有する物質を用いることを特徴とするガスの精製方法。
- 前記水酸化鉄を含有する物質として褐鉄鉱を用いる請求項1記載のガスの精製方法。
