Abstract
【解決手段】生混合物にカオリン又はカオリンと珪素から成る混合物を添加することにより、通常の製造工程の経過後に微細気孔性から超微細気孔性の気孔を有する炭素煉瓦を得る。このような煉瓦中に高炉内で製造した溶銑は殆ど侵入せず、結果としてその煉瓦に損耗は極めて僅かに生ずるに過ぎず、その耐用寿命が延びる。

Description
2.炭素煉瓦の気孔内への溶銑の侵入。
・標準気孔直径分布の実現は、本文献の第2頁に解説されている。典型的な総体分布は、図1に示されている。
・微細気孔性及び超微細気孔性の炭素煉瓦の気孔直径分布の典型的な値は、図2と3に示されている。
・炭素煉瓦用生混合物中に、天然のカオリンを原料として添加する。このカオリンの化学組成は、特に水分含有量はばらつきが大きい。加熱が適切である場合、このカオリンからAl2O3・2SiO2・2H2Oの一定組成を有する鉱物のカオリナイト(カオリン粘土)が生成する。カオリンは、本発明による炭素煉瓦の燃焼時に加熱され、中間生成物としてカオリナイトが生ずるので、この定義された組成はカオリンのパーセントによる表示の基礎として採用される。但し本文中では単にカオリンの表現を使用する。
平均的に比較的粗い粒度分布の典型的な重量配分は、
4〜10mmのもの 0〜30重量%、
1〜4mmのもの 0〜20重量%、
0.4〜1mmのもの 0〜10重量%、そして
400μm以下の粉塵 0〜26重量%であり、
平均的に比較的微細な粒度分布の典型的な重量分布は
1〜4mmのもの 0〜20重量%、
0.8〜1mmのもの 0〜20重量%、
0.4〜0.8mmのもの 0〜20重量%、そして
400μm以下の粉塵 0〜20重量%であり、
平均的に最微細の粒度分布の典型的な重量分布は、
0.8〜1mm 0〜40重量%、
0.4〜0.8mm 0〜20重量%、
0.2〜0.4mm 0〜20重量%、そして
200μm以下の粉塵 0〜20重量%である。
か焼した無煙炭60重量%、合成黒鉛25重量%、カオリン15重量%に、軟化点80℃のコールタールピッチを25部加えた全混合物から炭素煉瓦を製造した。炭素を含む固体の無煙炭と合成黒鉛は表1に記載の粒度分布を示した。カオリンは0〜200μmの粒度範囲にあった。全混合物を2時間、140〜150℃の温度で、混錬機内で混和した。その後、この混合物を、公知の振動技術により生混合物から脱ガスを行うべく低圧下で、2500×700×約500mm3の寸法のブロックに圧縮した。該ブロックを常法で、1300℃迄の温度の環状炉内にてコークスパック配合物に焼成した。焼成物は図2に示す気孔直径分布を示した。かかる気孔直径分布を持つ炭素煉瓦を微細気孔性である。
Claims (11)
- 還元炉及び溶解炉を耐火性にライニングする耐久性の炭素煉瓦において、高炉の煉瓦が50重量%以上の炭素と、25重量%以下のムライトを含むことを特徴とする炭素煉瓦。
- 高炉の煉瓦が5〜25重量%のムライトを含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の炭素煉瓦。
- 高炉の煉瓦が微細な気孔を持つことを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の炭素煉瓦。
- 高炉の煉瓦が5〜10重量%の炭化珪素を含むことを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の炭素煉瓦。
- 高炉の煉瓦が超微細な気孔を持つことを特徴とする請求項1、2及び4の1つに記載の炭素煉瓦。
- 無煙炭、コークス又は合成黒鉛又はそれらの混合物、石油又は石炭をベースとする、タール、ピッチ、アスファルト、それらから導出される誘導体の群からの結合剤、添加剤、又はフェノールとフラン樹脂の群からの合成樹脂からの所定の粒状成分を混合し、次いで成形、圧縮、コークス化し、最後に加工する諸工程により、請求項1及び2記載の耐久性の炭素煉瓦を製造する方法において、前記生混合物中に10〜45重量%のカオリンを混和することを特徴とする方法。
- 前記生混合物に0〜200μmの粒度分布のカオリンを添加することを特徴とする請求項6記載の方法。
- 前記生混合物中に付加的に5〜10重量%の珪素を混和することを特徴とする請求項1、2及び4の1つに記載の耐久性の炭素煉瓦を製造する請求項6又は7記載の方法。
- 前記生混合物に付加的に珪素を0〜200μmの粒度分布で添加することを特徴とする請求項6から8の1つに記載の方法。
- 前記生混合物に付加的にムライト及び炭化珪素を混和することを特徴とする請求項6から9の1つに記載の方法。
- 前記生混合物に付加的に0〜400μmの粒度分布のムライトと、0〜400μmの度分布の炭化珪素とを添加することを特徴とする請求項6から10の1つに記載の方法。
