Abstract
【解決手段】 多層圧縮成形物を形成するための多層溶融樹脂塊1において、中間層樹脂3が、内外層を構成する内外樹脂2内に下側に偏心して内封され、該中間層樹脂3の下端から多層溶融樹脂塊1の下端までの距離tが多層溶融樹脂塊全長の10%以下で、且つy(中間層樹脂傘部長さ)≧L(中間層樹脂中央部長さ)、及び1>do(周方向における中間層樹脂最大外径)/D(周方向における多層溶融樹脂塊外径)≧0.5で、凹型形状となるように、多層溶融樹脂塊内での中間層樹脂3の形状を制御する。

Description
図1は、本発明に係る多層溶融樹脂塊の基本原理を示す模式図であり、この多層溶融樹脂塊1は、内外層樹脂2内に例えばガスバリヤ性に優れた樹脂で構成される中間層樹脂3が埋設して構成され、前記特許文献1に記載されているような溶融樹脂押出供給装置によって得ることができる。該多層溶融樹脂塊は、下部がやや外側に丸みがかって膨らんだほぼ円柱状外形を呈し、内外層樹脂内にその下方部寄りに中間層樹脂が埋設した状態で位置している。内外層樹脂内の中間層樹脂の配置及び形状は、後述するように多層圧縮プリフォームの層分布を制御するのに、重要な影響を及ぼすものである。本実施形態では、多層圧縮プリフォームの層分布が最内層厚さを確保しつつ周方向に均一となるように制御することを可能とするため、中間層樹脂3は、多層溶融樹脂塊内の長手方向下方に位置し、全体として中央部が窪んでいて、周囲が傘状に上方に延びている凹形状を呈するように構成している。
(A)中間層樹脂3の下端から多層溶融樹脂塊1の下端までの距離tが多層溶融樹脂塊全長Zの10%以下、即ちt/Z≦0.1であること、
(B)中間層樹脂傘部長さyは中央部長さLよりも大きく、y≧Lであること、
(C)周方向における中間層樹脂最大外径doは、周方向における多層溶融樹脂塊外径Dの50%以上、即ち1>do/D≧0.5であること、及び
(D)周方向における中間層樹脂最大内径diは、周方向における多層溶融樹脂塊外径Dの50%以上、即ち1>di/D≧0.5であること。
図2に示す多層溶融樹脂塊の押出装置10は、内外層樹脂を溶融混練するための押出機11aと中間層樹脂を溶融混練するための押出機11bおよび中間層切断用樹脂を溶融混練するための押出機11cとを備えている。これらの押出機が接続されるダイ13には内外層樹脂通路14a、中間層樹脂通路14b、および中間層切断用樹脂通路14cが設けられており、これらの各樹脂通路14a、14b、14cは押出通路15で合流するようになっている。押出機11bと中間層樹脂通路14bの間、および押出機11cと中間層切断用樹脂通路14cの間にはそれぞれ間欠加圧機構16b、16cが設けられており、中間層樹脂を間欠的に押し出し、さらにタイミングを計って中間層切断用樹脂を間欠的に押し出して中間層を完全に切断することができる。その場合、中間層切断樹脂を内外層樹脂と同一の材質の樹脂を採用することにより、中間層樹脂が内外樹脂層に覆われ、間欠的に中間層樹脂が存在する連続状の溶融樹脂がダイリップ17から押出され、それを中間層樹脂が存在しない個所で切断することにより、中間層樹脂が内外層樹脂中に内封された多層溶融樹脂塊を形成することができる。
図2に示す押出装置で、各層の材質が下記の樹脂からなる材料により、図4(a)に示すように中間層樹脂31が凹型形状になっている下記の各寸法を有する多層溶融樹脂塊30を得た。得られた多層溶融樹脂塊を圧縮成形してボトル成形用の有底プリフォームとし、図5に示すように、その首下から軸方向下方に10mm間隔に断面を切断して、その周方向の最内層、中間層、最外層の厚みを測定して、層分布を調べた。その結果を図6〜図8に示す。なお、図6は首下30mmと50mm位置の円周方向における最内層の厚さの分布を示し、図7は首下30mmと50mm位置の円周方向の中間層厚さの分布を示している。そして、図8は軸方向10mm間隔での最内層、中間層、最外層の厚さの変化を示し、各位置での層厚さは、その高さ位置での円周方向厚さの平均値で示している。

実施例と同様な樹脂構成で、実施例と同様な押出装置により、中間層樹脂が図4(b)に示すように、凸型になっている多層溶融樹脂塊34を得、それにより、実施例と同様な位置の各層の厚さ分布を測定した。その結果を前記実施例と共に、図6、図7及び図9に示す。

Claims (5)
- 圧縮成形により多層圧縮成形物を得るための多層溶融樹脂塊であって、該多層溶融樹脂塊の中間樹脂層を構成する中間層樹脂が、内外層を構成する内外層樹脂内に下側に偏心して内封され、且つ前記中間層樹脂の形状が凹型であることを特徴とする多層溶融樹脂塊。
- 前記中間層樹脂は、その下端から多層溶融樹脂塊の下端までの距離が多層溶融樹脂塊全長の10%以下である請求項1に記載の多層溶融樹脂塊。
- 前記中間層樹脂の形状は、y(中間層樹脂傘部長さ)≧L(中間層樹脂中央部長さ)であり、且つ1>do(周方向における中間層樹脂最大外径)/D(周方向における多層溶融樹脂塊外径)≧0.5である請求項1又は2に記載の多層溶融樹脂塊。
- 請求項1〜3何れかに記載の多層溶融樹脂塊を圧縮成形して得られたことを特徴とする多層成形物及びブロー成形用多層予備成形物。
- 請求項4に記載のブロー成形用多層予備成形物を、二軸延伸成形することによって得られたことを特徴とする多層容器。
