Abstract
Description
本発明の発光材料は、赤橙色(波長590〜600nm)を発光することができ、かつ寿命特性に優れた発光材料である。このような発光材料として、具体的には、以下の式(4)〜(6)で表される発光材料を挙げることができる。
表1に示す材料を用いて、ホール注入層、ホール輸送層、発光層、電子輸送層及び陰極(電子注入電極)を形成した。表において( )内の数値は各層の厚み(nm)を示している。
表2に示すように、比較例1においては、発光ドーパントとして、ジフェニルペンタセンを用い、比較例2においては、化合物4を発光ドーパントとして用い、tBuDPNを補助ドーパントとして用いている。
表1及び表2に示す実施例1〜9及び比較例1〜2の有機EL素子について、発光特性を評価した。評価結果を表1及び表2に示す。なお、寿命は1500cd/m2が750cd/m2になる半減期として示している。

Claims (6)
- 以下の一般式(1)で表されることを特徴とする発光材料。
- 一対の電極間に挟まれた発光層を備える有機エレクトロルミネッセント素子であって、前記発光層が赤橙色発光層であり、発光材料として請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の発光材料を含むことを特徴とする有機エレクトロルミネッセント素子。
- 前記赤橙色発光層に加えて、緑色発光層及び青色発光層をさらに備え、フルカラー表示が可能であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセント素子。
