Abstract

Claims (23)
- 皮膚を穿刺し、液体試料を収集するための装置であって、
手のひらで持てるサイズであり、外縁を有するハウジングと、
前記ハウジング中に回動可能に配置され、第一の既定位置から第二の既定位置まで動くことができる端部を有する回動可能なアームと、
前記回動可能なアームの前記端部とともに動くことができ、前記回動可能なアームの前記端部が前記第一の位置にあるとき前記ハウジングの前記外縁の中に完全に入り、前記アームが前記第一の位置から前記第二の位置まで回動するとき前記ハウジングの前記外縁を超えて延びて使用者の皮膚に穿刺部位を形成する、皮膚を穿刺するためのランスと、
前記アームが前記第一の位置から前記第二の位置まで動くとき前記ランスの前記端部とともに動くことができ、前記ランスに対してほぼ固定されており、前記アームが前記第二の既定位置にあるとき前記穿刺部位の有効範囲内に配置されて前記穿刺部位から液体を収集する試料収集区域と
を含む装置。 - 前記アームが前記第二の既定位置にあるとき前記試料収集区域が前記穿刺部位の少なくとも一部と重なり合う、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記アームの前記端部が前記第一の位置から前記第二の位置まで円弧状に動く、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記アームの前記端部が、解放されたのち、前記第一の位置から前記第二の位置まで連続的な動きで移動する、請求項3記載の装置。
- 前記試料収集区域がバイオセンサを含む、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記バイオセンサが電気化学的バイオセンサである、請求項5記載の装置。
- 前記バイオセンサが光学バイオセンサである、請求項5記載の装置。
- 前記試料収集区域が、前記試料を収集し、前記試料を前記収集区域内の反応区域に移動させるための毛管路を含み、前記反応区域が、前記試料中の分析対象物の濃度を示す、前記試料中の分析対象物との反応を生じさせるための試薬を有する、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記ランスがほぼ平坦な刃先を含む、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記ランスが前記アームに沿って位置し、前記ほぼ平坦な刃先が前記アームの前記端部を超えて延びる、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記アームが、前記ランスに対して固定されているネストを前記アームの前記端部に含み、前記収集区域を構成する使い捨てセンサが前記ネスト中に配置されている、請求項1記載の装置。
- 皮膚を穿刺し、穿刺部位から液体試料を収集するための装置であって、
手のひらで持てるサイズであるハウジングと、
前記ハウジングに接続され、第一の固定位置から第二の固定位置まで回動することができる回動可能な構造と
を含み、前記構造が、
前記回動可能な構造が前記第一及び第二の固定位置にあるとき前記ハウジングの中に配置され、前記回動可能な構造が前記第一の固定位置と前記第二の固定位置との間で回動するとき前記ハウジングを超えて延び、皮膚を穿刺し、それにより、前記穿刺部位で前記液体試料を作り出すランスと、
前記回動可能な構造が前記第二の固定位置に配置されているとき前記穿刺部位から前記液体試料を収集するように配置される収集構造と
を含む装置。 - 前記収集構造が前記ランスに対して固定された収集区域を含む、請求項12記載の装置。
- 前記ランスが前記回動可能な構造を超えて延びるほぼ平坦な穿通端を含み、前記穿通端が、前記回動可能な構造が前記第一の位置と前記第二の位置との間で回動するときだけ前記ハウジングを超えて延びる、請求項13記載の装置。
- 前記収集構造がセンサのためのネストを含み、前記ネストが前記ランスに対して固定されている、請求項12記載の装置。
- 複数の使い捨てセンサを収容するカートリッジを前記ハウジング中に含み、前記回動可能な構造が、前記複数の使い捨てセンサの1個が前記カートリッジから弾き出されるとき、前記ネストを前記1個の使い捨てセンサを受け取るための位置に配置する第三の固定位置まで回動することができる、請求項15記載の装置。
- 皮膚を穿刺し、穿刺部位から液体試料を収集するための装置であって、
手のひらで持てるサイズであるハウジングと、
回動可能な部材上に支持され、前記穿刺部位を形成するために前記ハウジングを超えて延び、不慮の穿刺を回避するために前記ハウジングの中に引っ込むように動くことができる穿通端を含むランスと、
皮膚を穿刺したのち、前記ハウジングを前記穿刺部位に対して動かすことなく、前記穿刺部位から液体を収集する位置に配置される、回動可能な部材上に支持された収集区域と
を含む装置。 - 前記収集区域が前記穿刺部位から液体を収集する位置に配置されるとき、前記ランス穿通端及び前記収集区域が、前記穿通端を前記ハウジングの中に配置する円弧で動く、請求項17記載の装置。
- 前記ランスが引き起こされているとき、前記穿通端及び前記収集区域がいずれも前記ハウジングの中にある、請求項18記載の装置。
- 前記ランスが、前記穿通端が動く前記円弧を構成する平面中に平坦面を含む、請求項18記載の装置。
- 前記回動可能な部材が、前記円弧を構成する前記平面で360°回動するように適合されている、請求項20記載の装置。
- 手のひらサイズの装置を用いて液体試料を収集する方法であって、
前記手のひらサイズの装置を穿刺する部位に配置することと、
前記手のひらサイズの装置の中でランスを解放することと、
前記ランスを、前記ランスが前記ハウジングから延び、前記ランスが前記ハウジング中で動く円弧の範囲で回動させることと、
収集区域が、前記部位から液体を収集するのに十分に近い位置に回動するとき、前記手のひらサイズの装置を前記部位に対してほぼ固定された位置に維持することと
を含む方法。 - 血液試料を収集する方法であって、
ランスを、前記ランスを支持するハウジングに対して既定の経路の範囲で回動させることと、
前記ランスを前記既定の経路の範囲で回動させるとき、前記ランスを前記ハウジングを超えて延ばして穿刺部位を形成し、前記ランスを前記ハウジング中に回収することと、
前記既定の経路上の所定の点で前記ランスの回動を停止することと、
前記ランスが前記経路上の前記所定の点で停止するとき、前記ランスを前記ハウジングの中に配置することと、
収集区域の動きを前記ランスの動きに合わせることと、
前記収集区域を前記ハウジングに対して回動させることと、
前記ランスが前記既定の経路上の前記所定の点に配置されるとき、前記収集区域を、前記穿刺部位から血液を収集するのに十分に近くに配置し、前記収集区域を、前記穿刺部位から血液を収集するのに十分に近い位置まで回動させることと
を含む方法。
