本発明は、車両のルーフに設けられたルーフ開口部を複数の可動パネルで開閉する車両用ルーフ装置に関する。特にルーフと可動パネル間からの雨水の防ぐシール部材に関する。

従来、このようなルーフの開口部を開閉できるように複数の可動パネルを供えるルーフ装置では、可動パネルが閉じた状態のとき、図7に示されるように互いに前後する可動パネル21、22の前側に配置される第1可動パネル21の後端下側と、後側に配置される第2可動パネル22の前端上側との間に車両の幅方向に伸びるシール部材60を挟むように取り付けて雨水の浸入を防ぐと共に、ルーフ開口部の縁には連続してウェザストリップ71を取り付け、各可動パネル21、22の下面がウェザストリップ71と密着して可動パネルとハウジング31間からの雨水の浸入を防ぐ構成である。(例えば、特許文献1参照。)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記した従来技術であると、図8に示されるように前側の可動パネル21と後ろ側の可動パネル22との間に、組付け誤差などによって高さの差が生じたときに、シール部材60とウェザストリップ71の接触部に符号Aで示されるような隙間が発生し易くなる。このためにシール部材60とウェザストリップ71は互いに密着できなくなり、雨水の浸入が生じてしまう恐れがある。

そこで、本発明の課題は2つ可動パネルの連結部分において、2つ可動パネルの間に多少の高さ方向の組付け誤差があった場合でも、ウェザストリップとの接触部で水密性が確保できるシール部材を備えるようにしたサンルーフ装置を実現することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の技術的課題を解決するために本発明において講じられた第1の技術的手段は、車両ルーフに設けられた開口部の縁に取り付けられるウェザストリップと密着し該開口部を閉じる通常位置及び該通常位置から上がる作動位置との間を移動可能に構成される第1可動パネルと、前記第1可動パネルの後方に配置され前記ウェザストリップと密着し前記開口部を閉じる通常位置及び該通常位置から上がる作動位置との間を移動可能に構成される第2可動パネルと、前記第1可動パネル及び前記第2可動パネルが共に通常位置にあるとき前記第1可動パネル後端下側と前記第2可動パネルの前端上側の間に挟まれるように前記第2可動パネルに取り付けられるシール部材とを備える車両用ルーフ装置において、前記シール部材の長手方向に直角な断面において前記シール部材からの延び方向で厚さが減少するように成形されたリップ部を備え、前記第1可動パネル及び前記第2可動パネルが通常位置にあるとき該リップ部は前記ウェザストリップに密着するように構成したことである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に、本発明に関るサンルーフ装置10(ルーフ装置)の実施の形態を、図面を用いて説明する。

図1は、本発明の一実施形態を示したもので、車両ルーフ11に搭載されたサンルーフ装置10を上方から見た斜視図である。図2及び図3は、サンルーフ装置10の外観の斜視図であり、図3はサンルーフ装置10が閉じた状態を示し、図3は開放状態を示している。

ルーフ11にはルーフ開口部12(ルーフ開口部)が設けられ、ルーフ開口部12内側の縁にボルト(図示せず)によって、サンルーフ装置10の基本構成部材となるハウジング31が取り付けられている。ハウジング31は概ねルーフ開口部12に相当する空間部分を中央に備えた矩形形状となっている。ハウジング31上面には、図3に示されるように、後述する可動パネル21、22、23によってサンルーフ装置10が閉じた状態でハウジング31と可動パネル21、22、23の相互間からの雨水浸入を防止するウェザストリップ71が取り付けられる。

ハウジング31の下面には、ルーフ開口部12の左右に位置し、車両前後方向に延びる一対のガイドレール15が配置されている。ガイドレール15には、第1作動アーム51が回動機構(図示無し)を介してその先端部が概略回転中心になるようにして、後端部が上がることができるように取り付けられている。第1作動アーム51の車両後方側には、第2作動アーム52が、その更に後方側に第3作動アームが、それぞれ回動摺動機構(図示無し)を介して、ガイドレール15に対して車両前後方向に移動可能にかつ先端部を概略の回転中心にして後部が上がることができるように取り付けられている。

上記の第1作動アーム51の回動機構と、第2及び第3作動アーム52及び53の回動摺動機構は、ハウジング31の車両前方側の下面に取り付けられた駆動装置55から延びる、ケーブル56と連結されている。そして駆動装置55により摺動及び回動作動するように構成されている。

通常ガラス板で構成される複数の可動パネル21、22、23は、ルーフ開口部12の左右に渡って延在して取付けられている。各可動パネルを車両の前方から順に、第1可動パネル21(第1可動パネル)、第2可動パネル22(第2可動パネル)、及び第3可動パネル23としている。第1可動パネル21、第2可動パネル22、及び第3可動パネル23は、それぞれ取り付けフレーム(図示無し)を介して、第1作動アーム51、第2作動アーム52、及び第3作動アーム53に固定されている。よって、第1可動パネル21は、通常は、ルーフ開口部12の車両前方側の一部を覆う通常位置に位置している。また、駆動装置55の作動により第1作動アーム51が作動した場合は、第1可動パネル21は、その前端部21a(前端部)(図2示)を回転中心として後端部21b(後端部)(図2示)が車両上方へ持ち上がるように構成されている。つまり、いわゆるチルトアップ作動が可能となっている。また、第2可動パネル22及び第3可動パネル23も同様なチルトアップ作動と、更に車両前後方向の移動するスライド作動が可能な構成となっている。

次に、図4を基にして、第1可動パネル21と第2可動パネル22との間の構成について説明する。第1可動パネル21の後端部21bには樹脂製のライナ24が、第2可動パネル22の前端部22aには樹脂製のリテーナ25がそれぞれ固定されている。

ライナ24は、第1可動パネル21の後端部21bを車両幅方向(図4示紙面鉛直方向)に延在して覆うことにより、ライナ24を含めた第1可動パネル21全体の形状の精度を確保している。更にライナ24はその後端部21bが薄く、図4に示されるようにリテーナ25と所定の間隔を有する形状に成形され、更に薄い部分から前方に向けて徐々に厚くなるように傾斜面部24aを備える。

リテーナ25は、第2可動パネル22の前端部22aを車両幅方向に延在して覆うことにより、リテーナ25を含めた第2可動パネル22の全体形状の精度を確保している。またリテーナ25の先端部には段差を持って薄くなっている保持部26が形成されている。リテーナ25の保持部26には、後述するシール部材60が接着テープ67によって保持部26上に装着され、車両幅方向に延在している。

シール部材60は、ゴム材による弾性材料によるもので、基本的にはサンルーフ装置10が閉じた状態で第1可動パネル21と第2可動パネル22間の水密性を確保する機能を有する。図4に示されるように、シール部材60は、その長手方向に直角の方向の断面形状で、車両前後方向(図4示左右方向)に並ぶ2個の中空部60a、60bを備えている。第1可動パネル21が通常状態、即ち、開口部12を閉じた状態では、中空部60aと60bは図4に2点鎖線で示される形状から実線で示されるように上下に圧縮された形状に変形する。そして、特に中空部60aによって、第1可動パネル21のライナ24と第2可動パネル22のリテーナ25との間が防水して連結される。

シール部材60の中空部60bは、リテーナ25の保持部26の先端より更に前方に延びる形状となっていて、第1可動パネル21のライナ24に設けられた傾斜部24aと、ハウジング31の上面に取り付けられたウェザストリップ71によって挟まれる。この構成によって、第1可動パネル21と第2可動パネル22の接合部分で、ハウジング31との水密性を確保する構成となっている。更に中空部60bの先端部からは厚さが漸減しつつ前方に略水平に伸びる第1リップ部61と、中空部60bの後部からは後方へ厚さが漸減しつつ延びる第2リップ部62が備えられている。第1リップ部61と第2リップ部62はサンルーフ装置10が閉じた状態で、ウェザストリップ71の上部に密着し、第1可動パネル21と第2可動パネル22との間で高さ方向に若干の寸方誤差が生じた場合も、第1リップ部61と第2リップ部62が撓むことで第1可動パネル21と第2可動パネル22の接合部分でウェザストリップ71と隙間が生じないようにして水密性が確保される。

更に図2のA−A部分での断面図である図4及び図5に示されるように、シール部材60の両側端末部分には、リテーナ25の保持部26の上下面を覆うように取り付け部63が形成されている。更にシール部材60の両側端末部分には、図3に示す記号C部分を拡大する図6に示すように、取り付け部63の内壁部分には複数の線条突起が前後方向に延びて形成されている。線条突起はリテーナ25の保持部26の上面及び先端部と当接するように設けられた上側線条突起81aと、下面及び先端部と当接するように設けられた下側線条突起81bである。保持部26に対して各突起81a、81bは局部的に大きな接触圧力で当接することによって、取り付け部63と保持部26間の隙間から雨水が沁み込むのを防ぐ。また同様考え方で、取り付け部63の側面部26a(図6)とシール部材60との隙間での沁み込み防止するために、シール部材60の取り付け部63内に、当接リップ82を設け、保持部26の側端面26aに当接リップ82の先端が当接する構成にしている。

図4に更に示される、接着テープ67の前側端部とシール部材60との間では接着テープ67を取り付ける際に隙間が生じ易い。このためには上側線条突起81aの後端部81cを後方に向けて突起させ接着テープ67と当接できるようにしている。また、水密性の信頼を上げるために、接着テープ67の前側端部に対して、車両の幅方向外側に位置して、シール部材60に縦壁部83を形成して、接着テープ67とシール部材60の境界部に車両走行中に発生する風圧が直接作用しないようにしている。

以上のように構成されたサンルーフ装置10は、駆動装置55の作動によって、第1可動パネル21がチルトアップした状態で、シール部材60は第1可動パネル21による圧縮から開放されて、図4に2点鎖線で示される形状になる。更に、図3に示されるようにルーフの開口部12を解放したときは、シール部材60の第1リップ部61と第2リップ部62は共にウェザストリップ71から持上げられウェザストリップ71と摺動することは無く、第2可動パネル22は車両上方にスライド作動する。

本発明のサンルーフ構成では、シール部材60に設けられた第1リップ部61と第2リップ部62が撓むことで第1可動パネル21と第2可動パネル22の接合部分でウェザストリップ71と隙間が生じないようにできる。そして、2つ可動パネルの連結部分において、多少の2つ可動パネルの間に高さ方向の組付け誤差があった場合でも、ウェザストリップとの接触部で水密性が確保できる。
