Abstract
【解決手段】複合シート材10は、セル状材料から成る芯材12の両面に、連続シート材から成る表面材14、16を貼着したものである。芯材12と表面材14、16とを共に熱可塑性樹脂材料で形成し、芯材12の溶融温度及び表面材14、16の溶融温度のいずれよりも低い溶融温度を有する熱可塑性接着剤18、20によって、表面材14、16を芯材12に貼着した。

Description
尚、ここで使用する「セル状材料」という用語は、例えばハニカム材や発泡材などのような、空気またはその他の気体を内包した小胞を有する固体状材料を意味している。
図1〜図3に示したパネル材10は、ハニカム芯材12の個々のハニカム・セルの両端を表面材14及び16で覆って形成したものであり、表面材14及び16は、夫々、熱可塑性接着剤層18及び20によって芯材12に貼着されている。
この複合材を屈曲させるには、この複合材で形成したパネル材の全体を(例えばオーブンに入れるなどして)加熱することによって、接着剤の溶融温度よりは高く、芯材の溶融温度及び表面材の溶融温度のいずれよりも低い温度にまで加熱する。続いて、その加熱したパネル材を屈曲させる。これによって、両面の表面材が芯材に対してずれるように移動し、屈曲させた外面側の表面材の端縁部は芯材の端縁部より内方へずれて引っ込み、屈曲させた内面側の表面材の端縁部は芯材の端縁部から外方へずれて突き出すことになる。このパネル材が冷えたときには、両側の表面材は屈曲部及びその前後を含めて連続した滑らかな表面を形成しているため、ガラス繊維による補綴を行う必要はない。最後に、そのパネル材の端縁部を切り揃えて所望の輪郭形状とし、それによって、余分な表面材と、両側を表面材で覆われていない部分の芯材とが除去される。
Claims (9)
- セル状材料から成る芯材(34)の両面に連続シート材から成る表面材(32、36)を貼着した複合シート材において、
前記芯材(34)と前記表面材(32、36)とを共に熱可塑性材料で形成し、該複合シート材を、前記芯材(34)の軟化温度より高い温度において、前記芯材(34)の厚さとその両面の前記表面材(32、36)の厚さとを合わせた合計厚さより小さな厚さに圧縮したことを特徴とする複合シート材。 - 前記表面材(32、36)及び前記芯材(34)とは別に設ける熱可塑性接着剤によって、前記表面材(32、36)を前記芯材(34)に貼着したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の複合シート材。
- 前記熱可塑性接着剤の溶融温度が、前記芯材(34)の溶融温度及び前記表面材(32、36)の溶融温度のいずれよりも低いことを特徴とする請求項2記載の複合シート材。
- セル状材料から成る芯材(12、34)の両面に連続シート材から成る表面材(14、16;32、36)を貼着した複合シート材において、
前記芯材(12、34)と前記表面材(14、16;32、36)とを共に熱可塑性材料で形成し、前記芯材(12、34)の溶融温度及び前記表面材(14、16;32、36)の溶融温度のいずれよりも低い溶融温度を有する熱可塑性接着剤によって、前記表面材(14、16;32、36)を前記芯材(12、24)に貼着したことを特徴とする複合シート材。 - 前記芯材(12、34)の溶融温度と前記表面材(14、16;32、36)の溶融温度とが等しいことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の何れか1項記載の複合シート材。
- 前記芯材(12、34)の溶融温度が前記表面材(14、16;32、36)の溶融温度より低いことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の何れか1項記載の複合シート材。
- 請求項2乃至6の何れか1項記載の複合シート材を屈曲させる方法において、
前記複合シート材を前記熱可塑性接着剤の溶融温度より高い温度に加熱し、前記複合シート材を屈曲させて所望形状にし、該所望形状に維持したままで前記複合シート材を前記熱可塑性接着剤の溶融温度より低い温度に冷却することを特徴とする方法。 - 複合シート材の製作方法において、
プレス機の下部プラテン(20)の上に第1熱可塑性シート材層(32)を載置し、該第1熱可塑性シート材層(32)の上にセル状材料層(34)を載置し、該セル状材料層(34)の上に第2熱可塑性シート材層(36)を載置し、プレス機の上部プラテン(26)を作動させて前記第2熱可塑性シート材層(36)の上面に当接させ、前記下部プラテン(20)及び前記上部プラテン(26)を前記セル状材料(34)が軟化する温度に加熱してそれらプラテン(20、26)を互いに接近するように作動させることにより、前記第1熱可塑性シート材層(32)及び前記第2熱可塑性シート材層(36)に当接している前記セル状材料を変形させて接触面積を増大させることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記第1熱可塑性シート材層(32)と前記セル状材料層(34)との間に第1熱可塑性接着剤層を介装し、前記セル状材料層(34)と前記第2熱可塑性シート材層(36)との間に第2熱可塑性接着剤層を介装し、前記下部プラテン(20)及び前記上部プラテン(26)を前記接着剤の溶融温度以上の温度に加熱することを特徴とする請求項8記載の方法。
