Abstract
【解決手段】 応力割れを生じやすい材料のために、溶融池14が基材上に形成される。溶融池は、高温の金属溶融池14の温度が典型的に高温割れが起こる所定の範囲内に実質的にある間に、同時に塑性歪みを与えられかつ冷却される。溶接材料の温度が高温割れに関連する所定の温度範囲より低くなるまで、又は該溶接における残留応力が、完成した溶接部における割れをなくすのに十分なだけ低くなるまで、高温の金属は塑性歪みを与えられかつ冷却される。

Claims (17)
- 材料が高温割れが生じやすい所定の温度範囲にある間に、該材料を溶接する方法であって、
(a)高温の金属溶接材料(16)を基材の一部の上に形成する段階と、
(b)前記高温の金属溶接材料の温度が実質的に前記所定の温度範囲内にある間に、前記高温の金属溶接材料に、外部源から塑性的に圧縮応力を加える(21)段階と、
(c)前記溶接材料の温度が前記所定の温度範囲より低くなるまで、又は完成した溶接部における高温割れを最小にするか又はなくすのに十分なだけ残留応力が低くなるまで段階(b)を行う段階と、
を含む方法。 - 材料が溶接後の応力腐食割れを最小にするか又はなくすように、所定の温度範囲にある間に該材料を溶接する方法であって、
(a)高温の金属溶接材料(16)を基材の一部の上に形成する段階と、
(b)前記高温の金属溶接材料の温度が実質的に前記所定の温度範囲内にある間に、前記高温の金属溶接材料に、外部源から塑性的に圧縮応力を加える(21)段階と、
(c)前記溶接材料の温度が前記所定の温度範囲より低くなるまで、又は完成した溶接部における応力腐食割れを最小にするか又はなくすのに十分なだけ残留応力が低くなるまで段階(b)を行う段階と、
を含む方法。 - 材料が溶接後の応力腐食割れを最小にするか又はなくすように、所定の温度範囲にある間に該材料を溶接する方法であって、
(a)高温の金属溶接材料(16)を基材の一部の上に形成する段階と、
(b)前記高温の金属溶接材料の温度が実質的に前記所定の温度範囲内にある間に、前記高温の金属溶接材料に、外部源から同時に塑性的に圧縮応力を与え(21)かつ該高温の金属溶接材料を冷却する段階と、
(c)前記溶接材料の温度が前記所定の温度範囲より低くなるまで、又は完成した溶接部における割れを最小にするか又はなくすのに十分なだけ残留応力が低くなるまで段階(b)を行う段階と、
を含む方法。 - 前記塑性的に圧縮歪みを与える(21)段階は、前記高温の金属溶接材料の温度が実質的に前記所定の温度範囲内にある間に、前記高温の金属溶接材料の表面に周期的に衝撃を与える(24)ことにより行われる請求項1又は請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記塑性的に圧縮歪みを与える(21)段階が、冷却中に前記高温の溶接材料の表面に周期的に衝撃を与え(24)て前記表面を塑性変形させることにより行われる請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記溶接材料表面に衝撃を与える段階が、多数のピンを前記溶接材料表面に対して周期的に衝突させる(24)ことを含む請求項4又は又は請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記塑性的に圧縮歪みを与える段階が、前記溶接材料を連続して機械的に圧縮する(330)ことにより形成される請求項1、請求項4又は請求項5に記載の方法。
- 段階(a)、(b)及び(c)が水中で行われる請求項1、請求項4又は請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記塑性的に圧縮歪みを与える段階が、多数のピン(440)を装着したローラを前記溶接材料表面に対して係合させる(442)ことにより、前記ピンを前記溶接材料表面に対して周期的に衝突させることを含む請求項1、請求項4又は請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記塑性的に圧縮歪みを与える段階が、多数のピンを前記溶接材料表面に対して衝突させる(24)ことと、冷却媒体を前記ピンに通して流すことを含む請求項5に記載の方法。
- 材料が割れを生じやすい所定の温度範囲にある間に、該材料を溶接する方法であって、
(a)高温の金属溶接材料(16)を基材の一部の上に形成する段階と、
(b)前記高温の金属溶接材料の温度が実質的に前記所定の温度範囲内にある間に、前記高温の金属溶接材料に、外部源から同時に塑性歪みを与え(21)かつ該高温の金属溶接材料を冷却する段階と、
(c)前記溶接材料の温度が前記所定の温度範囲より低くなるまで、又は完成した溶接部における割れをなくすのに十分なだけ残留応力が低くなるまで段階(b)を行う段階と、
を含む方法。 - 前記塑性歪みを与える段階が、冷却中に前記高温の溶接材料の表面に周期的に衝撃を与え(24)て前記表面を塑性変形させることにより行われる請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記溶接材料表面に衝撃を与える段階(24)が、多数のピンを前記溶接材料表面に対して周期的に衝突させることを含む請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記塑性歪みを与える段階が、前記溶接材料を連続して機械的に圧縮する(330)ことにより形成される請求項11に記載の方法。
- 段階(a)、(b)及び(c)が水中で行われる請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記塑性歪みを与える段階が、多数のピン(440)を前記溶接材料表面に対して衝突させることと、冷却媒体を前記ピンに通して流すことを含む請求項11に記載の方法。
