Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明の潤滑油はディーゼルエンジンに使用するのに適する粘度を有しそして少なくとも1種の官能化されたオレフィンポリマー及び少なくとも1種の亜鉛ジアルキルジチオホスフェート(ZDDP)を含む。ZDDPは第一級アルコールの混合物又は第一級アルコールと第二級アルコールの混合物から製造され、潤滑剤は高周波往復リグ(HFRR)を使用することにより測定して、15以上、好ましくは60より大きい高い境界膜値を有する。
Description
これらのサンプルは、我々が我々の実施例で使用した個々の成分についてのHFRR膜結果を示す。HFRR結果が高ければ高い程、形成される膜は強い。
個々の成分の性能からのデータを使用して、我々は個々の結果の加算によりZDDPとポリマーの組み合わせについての性能を予測することができる。例えば、第二級アルコールのみから合成されたZDDP(AA)と官能化されていないポリマー(DD)の組み合わせは32(15+17)の膜結果を有するべきである。実施例Gは、この組み合わせが7の実際の結果を有し、これは、成分の効果が加法的である場合に予想されるより小さい、即ち、予測された値が組み合わせにおける各成分の既知の効果を加え合わせることにより得られた値である場合より小さい。
Claims (22)
- ディーゼルエンジンに使用するのに適する粘度を有する潤滑油、少なくとも1種の官能化されたオレフィンポリマー、及び第一級アルコールの混合物又は第一級アルコールと第二級アルコールの混合物から製造される亜鉛ジアルキルジチオホスフェート(ZDDP)を含んでなり、高周波往復リグ(HFRR)を使用することにより測定された場合に15に等しいか又は15より大きい高境膜摩擦値を有することを特徴とするディーゼルエンジンに使用するのに適する潤滑剤。
- HFRR値が20以上である請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- HFRR値が30以上である請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- HFRR値が60以上である請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- 潤滑油が100℃で2.0〜15.0cStの動粘度を有する請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- 官能化されたオレフィンポリマーがアシル化されたオレフィンコポリマーである請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- 官能化されたオレフィンポリマーがアシル化されたオレフィンとアミンモノマーのコポリマーである請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- 官能化されたオレフィンポリマーがメタクリレートとアミンモノマーのコポリマーである請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- 官能化されたオレフィンポリマーがアミンキャップされた官能化されたエチレン−プロピレンコポリマーである請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- 官能化されたオレフィンポリマーが約5,000〜約150,000の範囲の数平均分子量を有する請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- ZDDPが第一級アルコールの混合物から製造される請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- ZDDPが第一級アルコールと第二級アルコールの混合物から製造される請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- ZDDPを製造するのに使用される第二級アルコールがC3第二級アルコールとC6第二級アルコールの混合物を含んでなる請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- ZDDPがC4第一級アルコール、C5第一級アルコール及びC8第一級アルコールの混合物から製造される請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- ZDDPがC3第二級アルコール、C4第一級アルコール及びC8第一級アルコールの混合物から製造される請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- 予測されたHFRR膜値が各成分の既知の効果を加え合わせることにより得られる値である場合に、HFRR膜値が該予測されるHFRR膜値よりも高い請求項1に記載の潤滑剤。
- 約20重量%〜約90重量%の液体の実質的に不活性な有機希釈剤/溶媒、及び少なくとも1種の官能化されたポリマー及び少なくとも1種の亜鉛ジアルキルジチオホスフェート(ZDDP)を含んでなる潤滑油組成物を配合するための濃厚物であって、ZDDPが第一級アルコールの混合物又は第一級アルコールと第二級アルコールの混合物から製造され、該濃厚物と潤滑油との混合物が高周波往復リグ(HFRR)を使用することにより測定される15に等しいか又は15より大きい高境界膜値を有することを特徴とする濃厚物。
- HFRR値が20以上である請求項17に記載の濃厚物。
- HFRR値が30以上である請求項17に記載の濃厚物。
- HFRR値が60以上である請求項17に記載の濃厚物。
- 請求項1に記載の潤滑剤をディーゼルエンジンのクランクケースに加えそしてクランクケースにおいて作動させる段階を含んでなるディーゼルエンジンを潤滑する方法。
- 請求項1に記載の潤滑剤により潤滑されたディーゼルエンジン。
