Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a screen printing apparatus that prints paste such as cream solder or conductive paste on a substrate.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In the electronic component mounting process, screen printing is used as a method for printing paste such as cream solder or conductive paste on a substrate. In this method, a mask plate provided with a pattern hole according to a portion to be printed is brought into contact with a substrate, a paste is supplied on the mask plate, and a squeegee is slid, so that the squeegee slides on the substrate through the pattern hole. Print the paste.
[0003]
In screen printing, it is necessary that the substrate be in close contact with the mask plate and that the position be properly maintained so as not to cause a horizontal displacement. For this reason, the substrate positioning portion that positions and holds the substrate is provided with a substrate lower receiving portion that contacts and supports the lower surface of the substrate, and a clamp mechanism that holds the position by sandwiching the side edge of the substrate from both sides. ing. The separation of the mask plate from the substrate during or after the printing operation is performed while the substrate is clamped.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the clamp is performed by sandwiching the side end surface of the substrate between the clamp surfaces, so that the substrate is likely to be out of the clamped state. In some cases, the substrate that has fallen out of the clamped state falls down and remains on the substrate receiving portion in an irregular posture. In the screen printing apparatus, since the mask plate is located above the substrate lower receiving portion, the substrate that has fallen on the substrate lower receiving portion due to a malfunction cannot be easily visually recognized from the outside.
[0005]
For this reason, such a substrate is easily overlooked, and if it shifts to the next operation in this state, various inconveniences such as the substrate biting are caused. As described above, the conventional screen printing apparatus has a problem that it is not possible to detect that a foreign substance such as a dropped substrate is stagnating on the substrate receiving portion, and a problem occurs.
[0006]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a screen printing apparatus capable of reliably detecting a foreign substance such as a dropped substrate.
