とは独立に選択することができる。

チング剤は、例えばNaOH、KOH及びリン酸と硝酸の混合物である。

。抗拡散層は例えば電着、物理蒸着(PVD)、又は化学蒸着(CVD)によって施与
することができる。拡散防止層は、一般に暫定的な基材と共に、TCOから取り除
かれる。

の光散乱テクスチャを有する所望の結晶表面を形成することができるので好まし
い。このような高い温度に耐える暫定的基盤の使用が非常に魅力的であるのは、
まさにこのTCO物質の場合である。さらに、該物質はほとんどのエッチング剤に
耐性であり、ずっと多く用いられているインジウム錫酸化よりも耐化学薬品性が
良い。さらに、ずっと安価でもある。

層の種類は、PV層の種類に依存する。種々のPV層に適するバッファ層は、当業界
で公知である。テルル化カドミウムにはCdS、In(OH、S)及びZn(OH、S)が挙
げられる。本明細書においてTCO上にPV層を付着することが言及される場合には
いつも、前記TCO上にはバッファ層が存在していてもよい。

、施与される。

い特性を有するポリマーの薄膜、例えばアラミド又はポリイミド薄膜が包含され
るが、例えばその上に絶縁性(誘電体)表面が施与されていてよい金属箔、又は
プラスチックと強化ファイバー及びフィラーの組成物も包含される。基材自体の
軟化点より低い軟化点を有する熱可塑性接着性層が付与されたポリマー状の「共
押出しされた」薄膜が好ましい。所望であれば、共押出しされた薄膜は、耐拡散
層、例えばポリエステル(PET)、コポリエステルまたはアルミニウム、が付与さ
れてよい。基材の厚みは、好ましくは50μm〜10mmである。好ましい範囲は、75
μm〜3mm及び100μm〜300μmである。基材の曲げ剛性は、本明細書において弾性
率E(N/mm2)と厚みt(mm)の3乗との積(E×t3)として定義され、好ましくは
、16×10-2Nmmより大きく及び一般に15×106Nmmより小さい。

する請求項1記載の方法。 - 【請求項3】TCOが付与されている暫定的な基板が、少なくとも1つのガイドロ
ーラーを経由して、電極を含む電解質槽中へと導かれ、1又は複数の該ガイドロ
ールが箔のための電気コンタクトとしても働くことを特徴とする請求項1記載の
方法。 - 【請求項4】TCO層、任意的な導電性バッファ層及び裏面電極から選ばれる1又
は複数の層も、暫定的な基材を通して電流が供給されながら、電着により施与さ
れることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載の方法。 - 【請求項5】TCO層、任意的な導電性バッファ層、光起電性層及び裏面電極が、
順次、連続工程中で電着により施与されることを特徴とする請求項4記載の方法
。 - 【請求項6】第1のステップで暫定的な基材が担体上に電着により調製され、そ
の後、TCO層、任意的な導電性バッファ層、光起電性層及び裏面電極が、順次、
連続工程中で電着により施与されることを特徴とする請求項5記載の方法。 - 【請求項7】暫定的な基材が金属箔であることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいず
れか1項記載の方法。 - 【請求項8】TCO層と光起電性層の間にバッファ層が備えられる請求項1〜7の
いずれか1項記載の方法。 - 【請求項9】 暫定的な基材を用意すること、 その中に溝が備えられているところのTCO層を施与すること、 TCO及びその中に備えられた溝の上に電着により光起電性層を施与すること、 光起電性層中のTCO中の溝の隣に溝もしくは穴(の列)を備えること、 光起電性層中の溝もしくは穴(の列)の隣に溝が備えられた裏面電極を施与す
ること、 所望であれば、永久的な基材を施与すること、 暫定的な基材を除去すること、 を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか1項記載の方法。 - 【請求項10】 暫定的な基材を用意すること、 TCO層を施与すること、 電着により光起電性層を施与すること、 光起電性層中に溝もしくは穴(の列)を備えること、 溝が備えられた裏面電極を施与すること、 所望であれば、永久的な基材を施与すること、 暫定的な基材を除去すること、 TCO中に溝を備えること、 を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 【請求項11】連続工程、好ましくはロールからロールへのプロセス、で行われ
ることを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか1項記載の方法。
