Abstract
본 발명은 TCO층, 광기전층 및 후면전극을 구비한 광기전박의 제조방법에 관한 것으로서,
상기 방법은 ·전도성 임시 기재를 제공하고,
·상기 임시 기재상에 TCO층을 가하고,
·TCO상에 전착에 의해서 광기전층을 가하고, 전착하는 동안 전류가 상기 임시 기재를 통해서 공급되고,
·후면 전극을 가하고,
·목적한다면, 영구 기재를 가하고,
·상기 임시 기재를 제거하는 단계를 포함하며,
본 발명의 핵심은 전도성 임시 기재 및 TCO의 단위체가 광기전층의 전착동안 전극으로서 기능하며, 이때문에, 광기전층의 석출율이 종래의 것에 비해서 증가되며, 또한 더 균일한 층 두께를 갖는 광기전층이 수득되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
Description
본 발명은 광기전박(photovoltaic foil)의 제조방법, 특히 광기전층(photovoltaic layer)이 전착에 의해서 가해지는 광기전박의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
또한 광기전박으로 공지되어 있는 박막 태양전지박은 통상 캐리어와, (박의 앞면에서) 투명 전도성 옥시드(TCO)를 포함하는 전면 전극과 (박의 뒷면에서) 후면 전극 사이에 구비되는 반도체 물질로 이루어진 광기전(PV) 층을 포함한다. 상기 전면 전극은 투명하여, 입사광이 반도체 물질에 도달할 수 있으며, 상기 입사광은 전기에너지로 전환된다. 이와같이, 광은 전류를 발생시키는데 사용되며, 즉 화석연료 또는 핵전력의 흥미로운 대체물로 제공된다.
광기전박의 제조에 통상 진공석출법이 사용된다. 상기 방법은 대기조건하에서 실시되는 상응하는 방법보다 더 비용이 든다. 이러한 이유로, 대기압에서 온화한 공정조건하에서 활성층을 제조하는 것이 바람직하다. 이는 예를들면 반도체층의 전기화학적 석출에 의해서 이루어질 수 있다. 상기 방법은 특히 US 4,816,120 및 G.C. Morris and R. Vanderveen, Sol. Energy Mater. Sol. Cells 27 (1992) 305에 기술되어 있다. 현재 전착으로 불리는 갈바니(전기화학적) 석출(Galvanic (electrochemical) deposition)은 석출이 일어나는 층이 전기 전도성을 가질 것이요구된다.
상기를 실시하는 한가지 방법은 태양전지 시트의 제조에 금속 기재를 사용하는 것이다. 상기 방법은 US 4,341,610 및 DE 196 34 580에 기술되어 있다. 상기 금속 기재는 기재 및 후면 전극으로서 동시에 기능을 한다. 상기 방법에 의해서 제조되는 광기전박은 금속 기재, 전착에 의해서 가해지는 광기전층 및 전면 전극으로서투명 전도성 옥시드(TCO)를 포함한다. 그러나 먼저 PV층을 가하고, 그리고 투명 전도층을 가하는 순서는 사용되는 투명 전도성 물질에서 상당한 제한을 부여한다. 예를들면 매우 적합한 투명 전극층은 F-혼입 산화주석이다. 그러나, 상기가 목적하는 성질 및 조직을 갖도록 하기위해서, 바람직하게 적어도 400℃의 온도에서 사용되어야 한다. 상기의 높은 온도는 PV층에 특히 결정화, 존재한다면 도판트의 확산, 불순물의 확산, 크랙형성 및/또는 수소의 손실의 결과로서 황폐화시킬 수 있다.
광기전층을 부착시키는데 전착을 사용하는 부가적인 방법은 투명 전도성 옥시드(TCO)의 층을 구비한 유리상에서 부착시키는 것이다. Raffaelle 등(R.P. Raffaelle et al., Electrodeposited CdS on ClS pn junctions, Solar Energy Materials & Solar Cells 57 (1999) 167-178)은 인듐산화주석이 피복된 유리상에 CIS 및 CdS의 연속 전착이 기술되어 있다.
Das 등(S.K. Das 및 G.C. Morris, Preparation and characterisation of electrodeposited n-CdS/p-CdTe thin film solar cells, Solar Energy Material & Solar Cells 28 (1993) 305-316)은 인듐 산화주석이 피복된 유리상에 CdS 및 CdTe의 연속적인 전착을 기술하였다. 카드뮴 텔루라이드의 전착에서, 그 위에 구비된 CdS 완충층을 갖춘 TCO가 전극으로 사용된다.
그러나, 상기 방법의 주된 결점은 광기전층의 낮은 성장속도(rate of growth)이다. 상기 성장속도는 TCO의 낮은 전도성에 의해서 제한되며, 전자가 상기 층을 통해서 운반될 것이 요구된다. 상기 층의 두께, 전형적으로 <1마이크론이기 때문에, 저항성이 높다. 이는 성장속도가 제공되는 전기 접촉으로부터의 거리에 의존하는 것을 의미한다. 성장속도에서의 차이는 광기전층의 최종 층두께에서 변화를 일으킬 수 있으므로, 이는 바람직하지 않다.
스트립형태의 TCO 상 또는 그 밑에 금속과 같은 낮은 저항성을 갖는 전기 전도체를 구비함에 의해서 낮은 석출율의 문제를 해결하려는 시도가 있었다. 이는 다소의 허용가능한 성장속도를 유지하면서 더 큰 패널을 사용할 수 있다. 그러나 상기 시도의 문제점은 전도체는 활성층을 그늘지게하여 모듈의 전류 대 단위면적 비가 감소된다는 것이다. 또한, 상기 경우에, 석출율은 전기전도체로부터의 거리에 의존하여, 불균일한 두께의 광기전층을 제공한다.
다른 방법에 따르면, 먼저 박막의 전도성 물질이 TCO에 가해진다. 상기는 어느 정도로 전도성이 개선되지만, 그러나 전도성 금속층이 입사광을 방해하기 때문에, 전지내 광의 양을 감소시켜서, 발생되는 전류의 양을 감소시킨다.
결과적으로, 광기전층은 전착에 의해서 높은 석출 속도로 균일하게 가해질 수 있고, TCO의 특성이 광기전층의 성질과 무관하게 선택될 수 있는 광기전박의 제조방법이 요구되고 있다.
상기의 문제점은 전기 전도성 임시 기재상에 TCO를 가하고, 전착을 위해서 임시 기재를 통해서 전류를 가하여 해결될 수 있다는 것을 발견하였다. 결과적으로, 임시 기재 및 TCO의 단위체가 PV층이 전착되는 동안 전극으로 작용할 것이다. 명백하게, TCO 및 임시 기재는 양호한 오믹 콘택트(ohmic contact)일 수 있다. 상기 기재는 TCO보다 더 두껍고, 통상 훨씬 우수한 전도성을 갖기때문에, 기재 및 TCO 시스템에 가해진 전류의 양이 종래와 비교하여 증가될 수 있다. 상기는 단일 광기전층을 수득하는데 사용될 수 있는 최대 석출속도를 증가시킨다. 기재의 높은 전도성의 결과로서, TCO의 포텐셜은 전체 표면을 통해서 필수적으로 같다. 상기의 결과로서, 단일 두께의 PV 층이 석출된다. TCO가 광기전층이 아니라 임시 기재상에서 석출되기때문에, 상기 TCO가 광기전층의 성질과 무관하게 선택될 수 있다.
그러므로 본 발명은 하기의 단계를 포함하는 방법에 관한 것이다:
·전도성 임시 기재를 제공하고,
·TCO 및 임시 기재가 양호한 오믹 콘택트에 있는 조건하에서 상기 임시 기재상에 TCO층을 가하고,
·상기 TCO층에 전착에 의해서 광기전층을 가하고, 전착에 대한 전류가 상기 임시 기재를 통해서 공급되며,
·후면 전극을 가하고,
·목적한다면, 영구 기재를 가하고,
·상기 임시 기재를 제거한다.
상기 전도성 임시 기재는 바람직하게 가요성을 가지므로, 롤-투-롤법(roll-to-roll process)의 형태로 실시될 수 있다. 상기 영구 기재는 용도에 따라서 견고하거나 또는 가요성을 가질 수 있다. 대부분의 사용에 있어서, 영구 기재는 바람직하게 가요성을 갖는다. 본 발명에 따른 방법은 연속적인 방법으로 실시되는 것이 바람직하다. 더 바람직하게, 상기 연속 방법은 롤-투-롤법이다.
본 발명에 따른 방법의 부가적인 잇점은 하기와 같다: 광기전박에서 저항성 손실을 감소시키고, 뿐만아니라 요구되는 인버터에서 손실을 감소시키기위해서, 광기전박은 개개의 전지로 분리되고, 직렬로 연결된다. 상기 방법은 TCO층에 홈(grooves)이 구비되도록 한다. TCO가 비전도성 운반체, 즉 유리 운반체상에 가해지는 시스템에서, 광기전층의 전기화학적 석출이 TCO에서만 일어나며, TCO에 구비될 수 있는 홈에서 거의 일어나지 않거나 또는 전혀 일어나지 않는다. 이는 용이한 일련의 연결을 불가능하게 한다.
본 발명에 따른 방법에서, 전도성 기재가 사용되며, 광기전층이 TCO내 홈에서 석출되고, 그 결과 단순한 직렬의 연결이 만들어질 수 있다. 그리고 본 발명에 따른 방법은 하기와 같이 실시된다: 홈을 갖는 TCO로 피복된 임시 기재가 제공된다. 전착에 의해서, 광기전층이 TCO에 가해지고, 그 안에 홈이 구비된다. 홈 또는 구멍(의 줄)이 TCO내 홈에 이어서 광기전층에 구비된다. 그리고, 후면 전극이 광기전층에 구비된 홈 또는 구멍(의 열)에 이어서 홈을 구비한다. 목적한다면, 영구 기재가 구비되고, 임시 기재가 제거된다.
본 발명에 따른 방법에서 일련의 연결을 제공하는 대체적인 방법으로, 제1 홈 또는 구멍(의 열)이 광기전층에 구비된다. 다음, 후면 전극이 구비되며, 홈이마스크를 사용하여 석출하는 동안에 제조된다. 그리고 후면 전극을 함께 갖는 PV-박이 연구 기재상에 적층되고, 임시 기재가 제거된다. 그리고, 홈은 임시 기재가 제거되면서 TCO내 및 선택적으로 PV층에 구비된다. 상기 홈은 상기에 공지된 방법을 통해서 구비될 수 있다. 상기는 전기-부식 금속 제거, 습식 에칭, 드라이 에칭, 레이저 어블레이션, 부식성 분말 또는 동결 액체 입자로 블라스팅 및 경질 스크러빙 포인트로 기계적 스크러빙을 포함한다.
상기에 개시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 핵심은 전도성 임시 기재 및 TCO를 포함하는 단위체가 전착동안 전극으로 기능한다는 것이다. 임시 기재의 전도성은 TCO보다 높으며, TCO에서 전류의 방향은 기재층의 방향과 필수적으로 수직이어야 한다. 결과적으로, TCO의 포텐셜은 필수적으로 단일하여, 석출된 광기전층 또는 층들의 두께가 단일한 층이고, 두께의 편차는 10% 미만, 바람직하게 5% 미만, 더 바람직하게 2% 미만이다.
본 발명에 따른 방법의 구체예에서, 상기에 구비된 TCO를 갖는 임시 기재가 롤러위에 놓고, 전착용 전류가 상기 롤러를 통해서 공급되는 것이다. 상기 롤러가 PV층의 석출에 대해서 요구되는 전해질내에서 회전한다. 상기는 TCO로 극히 균일하게 공급하게 된다. 또한, 상기 시스템은 롤-투-롤법내 통합되기에 적당하기때문에 기술적으로 흥미롭다.
본 발명에 따른 방법의 다른 구체예에서, 그위에 TCO를 구비한 임시 기재가 하나 이상의 가이드 롤을 통해서 전해질조로 안내되고, 가이드 롤 또는 가이드 롤들은 박에 전기적 콘택트로서 제공된다. 상기 설정은 높은 전류밀도에서 일어나서석출을 가능하게 하고, 그러므로 고속에서 실시된다. 석출되는 동안 고전류가 흐르고, 접촉 롤들사이에 더 넓은 간격을 갖는 경우, 성장율을 감소시킬 수 있는 박의 기계 방향으로 포텐셜이 있다(전압강하 또는 전압증가). 상기 경우에 연속적으로 방법을 실시함으로서 부가적인 잇점을 제공한다. 상기 포텐셜은 공정방향으로만 존재하고, 상기 박이 상기 방향으로 이동하기 때문에, 포텐셜의 차이에도 불구하고 단일한 두께의 광기전층이 형성될 것이다. 상기 방법을 실시하는 장치는 도 1에 개시되어 있다. 도면에서, TCO를 구비한 임시 기재(1)가 필수 전해질(4)을 구비한 전해질조(3)를 통한 접지된 가이드 롤(2)을 통해서 유도된다. 전극(5)은 필수전류를 제공한다.
본 발명에 따른 방법에서, 전류가 전기 전도성 임시 기재를 통해서 공급되면서 전착에 의해서 PV층이 가해진다. 목적한다면, 하나 이상의 다른 층, 가령 TCO, 후면 전극 및 선택적으로 존재하는 완충층은 전기 전도성 임시 기재를 통해서 전류를 공급하면서 전착에 의해서 가해질 수 있다. 특히 본 발명에 따른 적당한 구체예에서, TCO, 선택적으로 존재하는 완충층, 광기전층 및 후면 전극은 전기 전도성 임시 기재를 통해서 전류가 공급되면서 연속적인 방법으로 전착에 의해서 각각 가해진다.
제1 단계에서 추가적인 변형으로, 임시 기재가 운반체, 예를들면 드럼 또는 연속 벨트상에서 전착에 의해서 제조되며, 그 후 TCO, 선택적으로 존재하는 완충층, 광기전층 및 후면 전극은 연속적인 방법으로 임시 기재상에 전착에 의해서 가해진다. 그리고, 임시 기재, TCO, 선택적으로 존재하는 완충층, PV층 및 후면 전극을 포함하는 조성물이 운반체로부터 제거되고, 추가적으로 처리된다. 상기 구체예를 실시하는 장치는 도 2에 개시되어 있다. 본 도면은 전착조(1)가 개시되어 있으며, 분배(2)에 의해서 다양한 조각으로 분리된다. 각 조각은 특이 석출을 위해서 요구되는 전극(3) 및 전해질(4)을 포함한다. 산화 크롬의 접지된(매설된) 드럼(5)이 배쓰내에서 회전된다. 상기 배쓰의 각 부분에서, 광기전박의 층이 임시 기재에서 시작하여 TCO, 완충층, PV층 및 후면 전극에서 석출된다. 임시 기재, TCO, 선택적 완충층 및 후면 전극을 포함하는 시스템(6)이 배쓰에서 제거되어, 추가적인 처리단계를 거친다.
상기에서 기술한 바와같이, 롤-투-롤법은 본 발명에 따른 방법의 바람직한 구체예를 포함한다. 임시 기재를 사용하여 박막 태양전지 시트의 제조방법은 당분야에 공지되어 있다. 특히 적당한 롤-투-롤법이 WO 98/13882에 기술되어 있다.
임시 기재
임시 기재는 많은 조건을 만족해야 한다. 상기 광기전층의 전착동안 전류를 충분히 전도시키기위해서 충분한 전도성을 가져야 한다. 박막 태양전지 시트를 제조하는 동안, 특히 TCO 및 PV층이 부착되는 동안 우세한 조건을 유지하도록 충분한 내열성을 가져야 한다. 제조하는 동안 박막 태양전지박을 운반할 수 있을 정도로 강해야 한다. 후자를 손상하지 않고 TCO층으로부터 제거가 용이해야 한다. 당분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자는 상기 기술에 따라 적당한 임시 기재를 선택할 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 방법에 사용되는 임시 기재는 금속 또는 금속 합금의 박이바람직하다. 상기에 대한 중요 이유는 상기 박은 우수한 전도성을 나타내며, 높은 처리온도를 견딜 수 있으며, 천천히 증발되고, 공지된 에칭 기술을 사용하여 제거하는데 상당히 용이하다. 금속 박, 특히 알루미늄 또는 구리를 선택하는 또 다른 이유는 말단에서, 박막 태양전지 시트는 장치 또는 전기적 글리드에 박막 태양 전지 시트를 연결시키는 가장자리 전극을 구비해야 한다. 제거되지 않은 임시 기재의 조각은 말단에 사용될 수 있으며, 가장자리 전극의 분리 부분을 요구하지 않는다.
적당한 금속은 강철, 알루미늄, 구리, 철, 니켈, 은, 아연, 몰리브덴, 크롬 및 그의 합금 또는 다중층을 포함한다. 경제적인 이유로, 이들 중에서 Fe, Al, Cu 또는 그의 합금을 사용하는 것이 바람직하다. 비용을 고려하여 성능을 제공하며, 예를들면 도 2의 통합방법에서 선택적으로 전착에 의해서 만들어지는 알루미늄, 철 및 도 2의 통합된 방법에서 선택적으로 전착에 의해서 만들어지는 구리가 더욱 바람직하다.
금속을 제거하는 적당한 부식제 및 기술이 공지되어 있으며, 금속마다 다르므로, 당분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자는 적당한 방법을 선택할 수 있다.
바람직한 부식제는 산(루이스 및 브론스테드산)을 포함한다. 그러므로, 구리의 경우에, FeCl3, 질산 또는 황산을 사용하는 것이 바람직하다. 알루미늄에 대한 적당한 부식제는 예를들면 NaOH, KOH 및 인산 및 질산의 혼합물이다.
구리, 선택적으로 전착에 의해서 제조되는 구리가 임시 기재로서 사용된다면, 선택적으로 전착을 통해서 구리는 비환원 확산 경계 층으로 예를들면 내부식층, 특히 산화아연을 제공하는 것이 바람직하다. 구리는 PV층에서 TCO층을 통해서 확산되는 경향이 있기 때문이다. 또한 상기 확산을 방지할 수 있는 TCO, 예를들면 SnO2또는 ZnO를 선택하는 것이 가능하다. 확산 방지층은 예를들면 전착, 또는 물리증착법(PVD) 또는 화학증착법(CVD)를 통해서 가해질 수 있다. 대개 확산방지층은 임시 기재와 함께 TCO로부터 제거된다.
제거를 용이하게 하기위해서, 바람직하게 임시 기재는 가능한 한 얇아야 한다. 물론, 그의 두께는 다른 층이 그위에 제공될 수 있어야 하고, 상기를 유지할 수 있어야 하지만, 통상 500㎛(0.5㎜) 두께 이상이 요구되지 않는다. 상기 두께는 바람직하게 1 내지 200㎛(0.2㎜)의 범위이다. 탄성율에 의존하여, 많은 물질에 대한 최소 두께는 5㎛이다. 따라서, 5-150㎛, 특히 10-100㎛의 두께가 바람직하다.
TCO층
적당한 투명 전도성 옥시드(TCO)의 예로는 인듐 산화주석, 산화 아연, 알루미늄, 불소, 갈륨 또는 붕소로 혼입된 산화아연, 아황산 카드뮴, 산화카드뮴, 산화주석 및 더욱 바람직하게 F-혼입된 SnO2가 있다. 상기 후에 언급된 투명전극 물질이 바람직하며, 이는 400℃ 이상, 바람직하게 500℃ 내지 600℃에서 처리되거나 또는 상기 온도에서 후처리되는 경우 컬럼형 광분산성 조직을 갖도록 목적하는 결정 표면을 형성할 수 있기 때문이다. 상기 TCO물질의 경우에는 고온을 견딜 수 있는 임시 기재의 사용은 매우 흥미롭다. 또한, 상기 물질은 대부분의 부식제에 저항성을 가지며, 많이 사용되는 인듐 산화주석보다 내약품성이 우수하다. 또한 비용이 적게 든다.
상기 TCO는 당분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 공지된 방법으로, 예를들면 PV층의 전착, 비전자 플레이팅, 스크린 프린팅, 졸-겔 방법에 선택적으로 통합되는 금속 유기화학증착법(MOCVD), 스퍼터링, 대기압 화학 증착법(APCVD), PECVD, 스프레이 열분해, 증발법(물리 증착법), 전착에 의해서 가해진다. 250℃, 바람직하게 400℃, 더 바람직하게 500 내지 600℃ 사이의 온도에서 TCO층을 가하고, 후처리하는 것이 바람직하며, 목적하는 조성, 성질 및/또는 조직의 TCO층이 얻어질 수 있다.
완충층
목적한다면, 완충층은 TCO층과 광기전층사이에 존재할 수 있다. 상기 완충층은 PV층의 석출동안 우세한 조건으로부터 TCO층을 보호한다. 완충층의 특성은 PV층의 특성에 의존할 것이다. 다양한 PV층에 대한 적당한 완충층이 당분야에 공지되어 있다. 카드뮴 텔루라이드 CdS에 대해서, In(OH, S) 및 Zn(OH, S)가 언급되었다.
본 명세서에서, TCO상에 PV층을 부착시킨다면, 완충층은 상기 TCO상에 항상 존재할 수 있다.
광기전층
TCO층의 사용후에, 광기전(PV)층이 전착에 의해서 가해진다. 본 명세서에서, "PV층" 또는 "광기전층"은 광을 흡수하고, 이를 전기로 전환시키는 전체 층 시스템을 포함한다. 전착에 의해서 가해지는 적당한 층 형태는 이를 가하는 방법과 같이 공지되어 있다. 당분야의 참고문에 공지되어 있는 통상의 지식에 있어서, Yukinoro Kuwano, "Photovoltaic Cells, "Ullmann's Encyclopedia, Vol. A20(1992), 161 and "Solar Technology, " Ullmann's Encyclopedia, Vol. A24(1993), 369에 기술되어 있다. 광기전층을 전착시키는 방법은 예를들면 US 4,816,120, US 5,472,910, US 4,440,244, US 4,456,630 및 US 4,388,483과, G.C. Morris and R.J. Vanderveen, Applied Surface Science 92(1996), 630-634에 기술되어 있다.
전착에 의해서 가해지는 광기전층의 모든 서브층이 필수적인 것은 아니다. 예를들면 아황화카드뮴이 CVD, 침지, 비전기적 플레트닝, 스퍼터링 또는 증기증발에 의해서 가해지며, 전착에 의해서 카드뮴 텔루라이드를 가한다.
다양한 박막 반도체가 전착에 의해서 PV층의 제조에 사용될 수 있다. 예를들면 CIS(코퍼 인듐 디셀레나이드, CuInSe2), CuInS2, 카드뮴 텔루라이드(Cadmium telluride, CdTe), CIGSS(Cu(In,Ga)(Se,S)), Cu(In,Ga)Se2, ZnSe/CIS, ZnO/CIS 및/또는 Mo/CIS/CdS/ZnO 및 염료 민감성 태양전지가 있다.
PV층의 전체 두께는 보통 100 내지 10000nm, 더 바람직하게 약 200 내지 6000nm사이, 바람직하게 약 250 내지 5000nm사이, 더 바람직하게 약 300 내지 1000nm사이이다.
후면 전극
본 발명에 따른 박막 태양전지 시트내 후면 전극은 반사기 및 전극으로서 제공된다. 보통, 후면전극은 약 50 내지 500nm의 두께이고, 광반사성질, 바람직하게 알루미늄, 은 또는 양쪽 층의 조합물을 갖는 적당한 물질을 포함하고, 하위의 반도체 층과 오믹 콘택트가 양호하다. 바람직하게, 상대적으로 낮은 온도에서, 즉 250℃ 미만에서 예를들면 전착, (진공하) 물리증착법 또는 스퍼터링에 의해서 금속층에 가해질 수 있다. 은의 경우에, 먼저 부착촉진층을 가하는 것이 바람직하다. TiO2, TiN, ZnO 및 산화크롬은 부착촉진층에 적당한 물질이고, 50-100nm의 적당한 두께로 사용되는 경우 반사성질을 포함하는 잇점이 있다. 요구되는 후면전극은 투명할 수도 있고 또는 불투명할 수도 있다. 후면전극은 바람직하게 PV층의 전착에 통합되는 방법에서 전착에 의해서 가해질 수 있다.
영구기재
비록 본 발명에 따른 방법에서 필수적인 것은 아니지만, 대체로 영구 기재를 박막 태양전지 시트에 제공하는 것이 바람직하다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 박막은 너무 얇아서 파손될 수 있어서 취급이 어렵다. 사용되는 경우, 영구 기재가 후면 전극에 가해진다. 적당한 기재층물질은 상업적으로 이용할 수 있는 중합체로, 가령 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트, 폴리(에틸렌, 2,6-나프탈렌 디카르복실레이트), 폴리카보네이트, 폴리비닐 클로라이드, PVDF, PVDC 또는 매우 우수한 성질을 갖는 박막의 중합체로, 가령 아라미드 또는 폴리이미드 박막, 뿐만아니라 예를들면 금속박이 가해질 수 있는 절연층에 가하고 또는 플라스틱 및 강화섬유 및 충전제의 조성물에가한다. 기재 자체의 것보다 낮은 연화점을 갖는 열가소성 접착층을 구비한 중합성 "공압출(co-extruded)" 박막이 바람직하다. 목적한다면, 공압출 박막은 확산방지층으로, 예를들면 폴리에스테르(PET), 코폴리에스테르 또는 알루미늄을 구비할 수 있다. 기재의 두께는 바람직하게 50㎛ 내지 10㎜이다. 바람직한 범위는 75㎛ 내지 3mm이고, 100㎛ 내지 300㎛이다. 기재의 굽힘 강성은 탄성율(N/㎟) 및 삼중점에서의 두께(t)(mm)의 제품으로서 기재된 상기 문헌내에서 정의되며, 바람직하게 16×10-2Nmm이상이고, 보통 15×106Nmm미만이다.
상기 기재는 그의 최종용도에서 요구되는 것과 같은 구조를 포함한다. 그러므로 상기 기재는 타일, 지붕 시트 및 성분, 외관 성분, 자동차 및 대형트럭의 지붕 등을 포함할 수 있다. 그러나 대개 가요성을 갖는 기재를 제공하는 것이 바람직하다. 이 경우에, 박막 태양전지 시트의 롤은 목적하는 전력 및 전압의 시트가 롤을 잘라서 사용할 수 있도록 수득된다. 그리고, 이는 (하이브리드) 지붕 성분으로 첨가되거나 또는 타일, 지붕 시트, 자동차 및 대형트럭 지붕에 목적하는 바대로 사용될 수 있다.
목적한다면, 상부 코트 또는 표면층은 태양전지의 TCO측에 제공되어서 외부의 영향으로부터 TCO를 보호한다. 보통, 표면층은 중합체 시트(목적한다면 공동을 가짐) 또는 중합체 필름일 수 있다. 상기 표면층은 높은 전도성을 가질 것이 요구되며, 예를들면 하기의 물질을 포함한다: 비정질 (퍼)플루오리네이트 중합체, 폴리카보네이트, 폴리(메틸메타크릴레이트), PET, PEN 또는 투명한 코팅성으로, 가령자동차 산업에서 사용되는 것을 포함한다. 목적한다면, 추가의 항반사 또는 방오성 층이 제공될 수 있다. 선택적으로, 목적한다면, 전체 태양전지가 캡슐로 통합될 수 있다.
Claims (11)
- TCO층, 광기전층 및 후면전극을 구비한 광기전박의 제조방법에 있어서,·전도성 임시 기재를 제공하고,·상기 임시 기재상에 TCO층을 가하고,·상기 TCO층에 전착에 의해서 광기전층을 가하고, 전착에 대한 전류가 상기 임시 기재를 통해서 공급되며,·후면 전극을 가하고,·목적한다면, 영구 기재를 가하고,·상기 임시 기재를 제거하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광기전박의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 TCO층을 구비한 임시 기재를 롤러 위에 놓고, 전착에 대한 전류가 상기 롤러를 통해서 공급되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광기전박의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 TCO를 구비한 임시 기재는 전극을 포함하는 전해질조로 적어도 하나의 가이드 롤을 통해서 안내되며, 상기 가이드 롤 또는 롤들은 박에 대해서 전기적 접촉으로 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광기전박의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,TCO층, 전기전도성 완충층 및 후면 전극에서 선택된 하나 이상의 층들이 또한 전착에 의해서 가해지고, 전류는 임시 기재를 통해서 공급되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광기전박의 제조방법.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,TCO층, 전기전도성 완충층, 광기전층 및 후면전극이 연속방법에서 전착에 의해서 연속적으로 가해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광기전박의 제조방법.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,제1 단계에서, 상기 임시 기재가 운반체상에서 전착에 의해서 제조되고, 그후 TCO층, 전기전도성 완충층, 광기전층 및 후면 전극이 연속방법에서 전착에 의해서 연속적으로 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광기전박의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 임시 기재는 금속박인 것을 특징으로 하는 광기전박의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 7 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,완충층이 TCO와 광기전층사이에 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광기전박의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,·임시 기재를 제공하고,·상기에 홈을 구비한 TCO를 가하고,·전착에 의해서 그 안에 구비된 홈 및 TCO상에 광기전층을 가하고,·TCO내 홈 다음에 광기전층내 홈 또는 구멍(의 열)을 구비하고,·광기전층내 홈 또는 구멍(의 열) 다음에 홈을 갖춘 후면 전극을 가하고,·목적한다면, 영구 기재를 가하고,·상기 임시 기재를 제거하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광기전박의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,·임시 기재를 제공하고,·TCO를 가하고,·전착에 의해서 광기전층을 가하고,·광기전층내 홈 또는 구멍(의 열)을 구비하고,·홈을 구비한 후면 전극을 가하고,·목적한다면, 영구 기재를 가하고,·상기 임시 기재를 제거하고,·TCO내 홈을 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광기전박의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 10 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,연속방법, 바람직하게 롤-투-롤법에서 실시되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광기전박의 제조방법.
